Dear, Cary Lane. I am open to meeting with you. This is not about a return policy. Please re-read my post. This is about the uncomfortable environment generated within your stores- both in the Sunset and the Mission St. locations. If I don't like my purchase- I give it to Goodwill actually. I can read and understand your policy. However- I don't understand bigotry. I am a Global citizen and I don't wear nor purchase or promote that kind of mentality. Let me know when you are available to chat. I will stop by. Thank you for responding. Nicole .

Dear Cary L. The person who works at the 9th St. Location is a disaster. Emo. Always on the verge of tears-- seems terrified and troubled by explaining the concept to the store (sample sale items/irregular) The regular person was so wobbly about "something " that she forgot to remove those fake security tags from a dress I purchased for $16. Thought it would be appropriate for a gig. But... a faux security tag-- and an inept gal lurking around with non-service? **This place is not safe for Brown People**We will pass. Cary L. Please don't forget-- social media influencers are everywhere-- she is a fail. This location is a fail mostly because of who you have working for you. I'll never be back. One star. Even for $16. I prefer Target or Ross.

Went shopping there store clerk with pink hair was friendly and helpful to everyone but to me she gave attitude and seemed to be discriminating against me. She made me feel unwelcome, so I will not become back here.

Along 9th Avenue, just up the street from the entrance into Golden Gate Park are a slew of really cool places to eat and shop and generally ‘in-general’ where the gentry here loves to hangout in the nabe! Refreshingly surprised that they happen to have a sale on their Women’s and Menswear clothing apparel. So stopping in went browsing and discovered how much there was to see inside. Now of course this wasn’t like this nearly a decade ago and how things have certainly changed even beyond the pandemic stages. But, lo and behold there’s always something for everybody—Luz explained that this outfitter has more than one store in The Bay Area. And of course it’s a California based retailer, thinking maybe it’s one boutique that New Yorkers would love too! In all seriousness, something like this has had that trendsetting style that’s casual enough but edgy to satisfy any one or all of its weather conditions from anywhere anytime. Even here bee-bopping around. Just pretty much cool.

I've bought a few nice items from this store and continue to stop in to see if there's anything interesting and good quality that I would want to buy. Not sure what it is but I don't ever get a greeting when I go to this store. I notice that the store workers greet people with a Welcome have you been here before - and we have a sale on everything today; or Oh Welcome back. I never get a hello. Maybe I don't look the part of someone who would buy something in their store?

Stopped today afternoon with my gf at this location just because we wanted to shop at small businesses and support them. But turns out disappointing experience. Lady working there seems rude and unwelcoming. She asked for id during checkout. I am aware of she is within her rights to ask for id but from the vibes she was giving after asking questions and during interactions, We both felt she was discriminating and/or rude! Better go to shopping malls where welcoming employee doesn’t ruin your shopping experience.Edit: they don’t have return policy otherwise i would have def return my purchase!

I came on a whim while near golden gate park and loved their selection of pins which were $3 each. They also have a bucket of $5 clothes - most are misses but I found a cute dress in there! I found a lion king dress too Other clothes are around $10-$30 which isn't terrible for a small boutique like shop.

Pretty much only carry X-small and small. Very small chances they will have a medium or larger. They should check their inclusivity especially for being in SF. I bought one blouse, but I won't be returning. Even given the concept Cary Lane I don't believe this is an excuse to not purchase larger sized samples from their suppliers.

The Sunset near 9th and Irving has Crossroads consignment and Cary Lane for sample sales. I decided to check it out and buy something today. I got two men's shirts. I got a button down with a print and a henley. I started to get guy's clothes that are borderline unisex. It was $38 for 2 shirts after a 50% off. Interesting store that somebody took me to like 3 years ago.

I've only been a few times, pre-COVID, but I love this place. There are some great deals on gorgeous clothing with unique brands and designs that you wouldn't spot out and about, imo. Some of my favorite shirts came from Cary Lane, to the point that I seriously regret not buying all 6 that I'd tried on--I was trying to be "good" and only get 2 items, but of course, the regret is real.I was happy to discover they're still in business and you can browse their stock online if you're not feeling the idea of going in person with the pandemic. There's still plenty to take a peek at, and I've got them on bookmark to check in for new shirt designs! I think they do some menswear, but can only speak for womenswear. (That is to say, clothing we have labelled "womenswear"! Obviously anyone can wear anything they choose.)Looking forward to the day when I can browse leisurely like "normal" once again. Staff have always been fab whenever I've popped in.

I stopped by carylane very often. There are multiple locations in the city but I went to this one the most. However I usually leave empty handed. Cary lane has great prices on quality items. But the catch is that sizes are limited. I think shopping as a petite woman, you will have a ton of luck shopping at CaryLane. But if you are average to bigger build guy, they wont have much. A lot of their stuff is sample clothing meaning it's 1:1 and only comes in that size you see. This is especially true for their sneakers. The discount rack in the back is always fully stocked and you might find a gem once in a while. No food or drinks allowed in the store.

I'm always here for their punchbags! These are the bags that are near the entrance. They're insulted bags that zip at the top and they come in different sizes and designs. The hubs got me a small one here for $2-$3. My sis and I got matching medium-sized ones for $4.65 each.

I have no idea why it's taken me this long to step inside Cary Lane. The store has the cutest clothing at great prices....I only wish the pre-mommy me knew about this place, as most items are small or x-small....perfect for tiny women! The store also has a great selection of jewelry and purses. I only came away with one sweater, but can't wait to come back when I have more time to browse.
