“Xavier at the Geary Blvd Floor Store helped me pick out flooring for my Sunset District house: kitchen, hallway and two rear bedrooms/closets. I never got the hard push or big sell from him. It was very comfortable working with him. We were able to get started pretty quickly. The installation team contacted me and kept in communication with me [as did Xavier] right up until the installation crew arrived. Frank from Gilroy was the lead guy on the crew. I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys. During the removal of the old flooring, Frank discovered that the subfloor and supporting joists were crumbling from water damage. It all needed to be replaced plus the exterior of the rear of my house needed remediation work for water intrusion. Frank was as shocked as I was to find it and emphasized that it was a real safety risk. So I had the pleasure of trying to find a contractor who could start right away as I was living in the middle of a half-done floor job! I got lucky. Found someone. Kept in contact with Xavier who coordinated with the floor team to be on standby. After a month of living in utter chaos, the repairs were made and I was happy to see Frank come back to finish the installation. The Floor Store team cleaned up every single day, arrived on time, used my garage but kept it tidy and worked tirelessly to make the intrusion of construction as pleasant as possible. Frank knew I was sleeping on the floor of my livingroom for a month and he worked quickly and professionally to get my floor installed. My floors look great. Highly recommended.”
