It is easy to make an appointment and they were all friendly. Now the reason I came to the Dr was for a soar throat. A 15 min appointment for a soar throat was charged 1170$. This is outrageous!! And morally wrong as it sounds like taking advantage of vulnerable, sick people.The quality of the examination was poor. I was mostly describing my various symptoms, giving all details and I don’t recall any specific hypothesis being made beyond an inflammation that I mentioned. I showed a swollen lymph node and I don’t recall the Dr checking the other ones.Edit March 13: they billed half of what was shown by their assistant on their screen. However, they indicated that it was for a 45+ min appointment while I booked and spent no more than 15 min. This is very dishonest.

I went there for a Covid test, verified at the front desk my insurance and still received later a full bill for the visit. The help desk completely ignored my requests for support and charged my credit card within days. Very disappointing service and the risk of surprise billing, payments clearly come before any care for patients.

The medical service was excellent. The intake/triage nurse was thorough, friendly and careful to gather information accurately. I was also impressed by the orderliness and cleanliness of the facility. The wait time was quite reasonable. In fact, I arrived early in the hope that I might be seen before my appointment time, which I was. The physician on duty was professional, extremely capable, communicative and helpful. She asked pertinent questions, explained her thinking, her plan of action, and things to be on the lookout for should my symptoms change or worsen. A new prescription was called in and she invited me to message her with more information if I was able to access additional test results, reassuring me that the new labs being run would be available in a couple of days. All I all, I received excellent care. Many thanks to Dr. Fitzgerald and the whole staff.

I stated my morning at The VA attempting to be retested for COVID to no avail. They set an appointment for me 3wks from today. I need to return to work immediately. Enter CARBON HEALTH. I walked right in, showed my id, Medicare and Debit cards, signed my name, was called to a room to be swabbed, Yadda-Yadda-Yadda, I'm at work now

1.) Try to book appt for my kid. Told I cant do it because they are a minor and need to do it in person or over the phone.2.) Call office when it opens multiple times. no one answers. but told they are accepting walk-ins in automated message.3.) Walk-in to get seen at which time I am informed that actually they dont take my insurance (don't come here if you have Anthem, despite marketing language about taking most major insurance providers, seems like thats worth a call-out.) Also told they don't take walk-ins.Ended up coming back three hours later because of the sunk cost fallacy but thats probably not a sustainable way to build a business. The office visit/experience was fine when in person. Overall, left feeling confident in getting good care and feeling kind of scammed which I guess for American health care is a 3 star experience. But I am deducting two extra stars because if you're going to pretend to be a tech company you should be doing better.

STAY AWAY FROM CARBON HEALTHI visited Carbon Health requesting a COVID TEST and they ended up charging $705!I told them I had covid but needed a positive clinic test for proof in order to get a hotel refund. I was very clear I ONLY wanted an appointment for a covid test.The bill ended up being $705 which by contract with my insurance they could only charge $281 for the visit. In addition to the covid test, they listed an additional CPT code for a new patient ‘primary care visit’ since a nurse took my blood pressure. Neither were covered by my insurance even though the front desk agent said the test would be covered. So a visit for what should have been a $60 COVID RAPID TEST turned out to be a $705 bill with me owing $281 out of pocket ($0 covered by my insurance).I have never been so shocked in my life that a service like Carbon Health would intentionally add extra CPT codes for a service that was NOT RECEIVED by the patient. This experience feels predatory to scam patients out of more money not covered by insurance and is an absolute disappointment to the fantastic medical clinics that provide excellent service with high level expertise doctors!The billing department said they would correct the appointment to the correct CPT codes and service of ‘covid test’ received but I still have not seen any change on my end. STAY AWAY FROM CARBON HEALTH. There are many fantastic clinics in SF that are TRANSPARENT AND HONEST while providing excellent service.. Extremely disappointed and hopefully this helps future patients or walk-in's steer far far away from Carbon Health.

Highly recommend using the Carbon Health app. Scheduling appointments is seamless and maintaining follow-up communications on app are very efficient. Both reception ladies, the radiologic tech (Louie), and PA (Paula) were all very helpful, kind, and professional.I had a good experience at the 1998 Market location.

NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD WHEN ARRIVING TO THEM - they will charge without dealing with your insurance.These guys will bill you full amount and your insurance as-well.Calling billing department for a whole month and they are not taking actions on their over-charges. They promised that they'll escalate the things to their managers and nothing happen - being fed up with their promises. Billing department is not picking up and don't want to deal with anything.

Lou (X-ray tech) & Dr Janette were incredibly kind & patient while working with my sister. My sister is an exceptional person w/ special needs; the amazing providers helped make her comfortable for her check after a fall injured her arm. Their stellar attention was deeply appreciated- my sister was reassured she’d be ready to hug & make art w/ her favorite arm in no time. Additionally, the scheduling staff saved me time/heartache by routing me to the appropriate clinic to get the imaging she needed before closing time.
