Button Down doesn't stock anything for slender men. Shirts and jackets start at medium you can't find pants here under 34" waist. What's their issue with not stocking small sizes?

We were vacationing and my husband forgot to pack a dress shirt for dinner. I found this place, nice upscale neighborhood and beautiful dress shirts/sweaters but because he only needed for one dinner I decided not to spend several hundred for one shirt. I'd recommend the store if you're looking for dress clothes or nice casual. Also the salesman were very helpful and friendly.

I have always loved this store, adored the staff, and enjoyed walking the street. A relaxing, luxurious trip each time. The staff here always makes the best recommendations and it's like hiring a personal fitter/stylist. Can't wait for my next find.

love BUTTON DOWN I have been going here for years and the staff is excellent. They always have something I can pick up as a gift , and its always a stop for birthdays and Christmas. They have a great eye for clothes. They even have their own brand which is exceptional. Go!!!

Got a haircut here from Cole and the cut and setting were both perfect. This will be my new spot (my prior barber moved during the pandemic). Set up almost like a speakeasy as you walk through a high end clothing boutique to a large back room built out as a barbershop. Everything you need in there... coffee? whiskey? Yes please. Just relax and get a good cut.

Great neighborhood, great sales team, fantastic merchandise. Button down has unique men's and women's clothing, and great accessories. Stuff you just don't find elsewhere. The staff are super knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor. I love the shop and will in all likelihood become a regular customer. Some of the clothing is a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth the price.

Beautiful store; exceptional service; incredibly stylish clothing for men and women. Not wanting to try on clothing, I was directed to the right sizing and guess what...it fit perfectly. The pieces are all unique and well chosen, especially for SF weather. The pieces are all fun yet incredibly elegant. I will be frequenting them for certain.

So delighted to find this local, independent and wonderful shop with--at last!- an online store website! http//buttondownsf.com Tweedy, classic, men's sportswear + small, beautifully edited women's selection, as well as unique accessories, jewelry, bags and luggage, sleepwear and gifts--all very well-priced for impeccable quality, materials and craftsmanship. Button Down is a beautifully-appointed store on Sacramento St. in Presidio Heights' little shopping mecca. Staff is knowledgeable and provides the highest level of personal service in SF. They have certain makers in depth, such as Etro, Cinza Rocca, D. Exterior, J. Holland Co., Lancaster for leather goods, Luciano Barberra. There is a great, new, retro-style barber shop on site now, which also offers elegant grooming products (closed currently for the stay-home order). The wares here are what everyone wants and needs now for WFH! Or for do nothing at home! Sale is on now! Recommend!!!

"Chi più spende meno spende" Italian proverbs that literally translates to "If you spend more, you spend less". I'm Italian and as part of my family heritage I've always bought high quality clothes. I love the art and craft as well as quality fabrics. Button Down is a hidden gem of San Francisco, where you can find genuine high quality clothes. I would particularly recommend their shirt selection, which is truly stellar. The customer service is impeccable, and it's especially nice to find such attention in San Francisco. I really enjoyed my time there. Also don't miss out their socks!
