Great place to find that bit of unobtainium for your old SF house, or some random piece of historical building chunk, such as an art deco marble sink or cheap wood for an art project.

It's one of my favorite places and I come here as often as I can. It's a very cool salvage yard and the prices are usually better than they should be. Yeah... it's no Urban Ore but what out there is really??Building Resources get my coveted 5 STAR (⭐) rating!!

Lady who is employed there who needs a lesson on how to treat potential customers. I won't be back. Thanks for turning me away

Here, I have donated and bought building construction materials, and/or walked around for an ad-hoc photoshoot among weird props.

I have outfitted two houses from BR. I replaced the home cheapo doors in my house with four gorgeous, 9 light, vintage interior doors that were the same era as my house. I also built an arbor, lots of landscaping accents, light fixtures, sinks, vintage casement windows to remodel an unattached barn/garage, tile, baseboards, etc. I sold that house and gutted my new (to me) house and have installed a full kitchen and bathroom cabinet set from BR. I bought tile, and am halfway done redoing kitchen and bathroom tile, installed light fixtures, vintage sconces that look like they came with the original house, two sets of French doors, separate side-lights (once installed look like a set,) a commercial grade range and hood, etc. For a teacher on a budget, this place has been a dream for someone with an aesthetic vision and the willingness to do the grunt work. I have also purchased countless pieces of furniture, indoor and out. Full disclosure, I have scraped, stripped, sanded, painted, stained, grouted, cut, scrubbed and whatever needed to be done to get to my goal.

Unfortunately, it looks like a lot has gotten damaged by the recent monsoon season. But everything inside is amazing. I was given an incredibly breast deal on some flooring. I love to support this place.

Unique place.Located in an industrial part of San Francisco, but felt quite safe. Most of it is outdoors, except for lighting etc, so little Covid risk. They happily give you a receipt for your fully tax deductible donation- it's kind of like Goodwill in that way.

Took donations that I couldn't find a home for anywhere else, plus a huge selection of household and construction items!

Great to see the efforts to recycle and save materials from landfill. But the good condition stuff goes fast. The remaining stuff is exposed to the elements and gets weathered.

I love this spot. It's such a great place to look for reclaimed materials for all of your home projects, craft ideas and art projects. It can be pricey, especially the tumbled glass, but it's very worth it to me to visit and if nothing else... walk away with ideas, inspiration and some treasure. Not much else to say, wear closed toe shoes for your safety please and this is not somewhere I would bring children who don't know how to curb their enthusiasm.
