I visited a ton of stores during my trip to SF and this is the only place I felt the need to write something about because of the man behind the counter, and I loved the place. I am totally surprised to see negative reviews. I only bought few inexpensive items, he wrapped them nicely in gray tissue paper, was genuinely friendly and warm. The only memorable experience in all my ahopping..It's a great shop I'd go back to.

Wow ... The rudest experience I've ever had in a store. I was looking up candles online on my phone because their prices seemed kind of high (three tapered candles for $30) but I was actually gonna give them a chance because small local business and all (I live a few blocks away). One of their staff comes over and looks over my shoulder and says condescendingly "Were you looking to buy something cheaper on Amazon?" It shocked me enough that I immediately left. For the male employee who did this, please don't look over customers' shoulders and comment on what's on their phone. It's very violating. Wish I had told him that was rude but looking at the rest of the reviews I doubt he cares.

Had a pleasant experience shopping around and chatting with the owner, talked about the diffusers and some of the other kitchen items, a cute store with some nice curated items, good spot if you’re looking for some unique gifts for the holidays or something for the home

Worst customer care among the street. There is a staff is keep watching you and teaching you all the time, even ask you to leave the store once you ask him to be more polite. No wonder the rating is low.

There is a racist black staff watching you all the time. Pretty rude and disrespectful, no wonder the rating is so bad. Just spent 2 mins in the store and ruined the whole day's experience.

Walked in as I was wrapping up a call. Not my best, the guy greeted open/warm and was fine, (I was off the phone by then) even as he said he'd hold on to the candle I picked up at front so my "hands are free." I didn't mind and tbh; being asked it back vs offering to hold up front, kinda put me off. From a LP/shrink perspective. It may not have been his intention, and so originally I was not going to leave any reviews but after reading the ones re: lack of CS or being put off by the no photos sign (really?) I don't think the 1* reviews are accurate of this shop and they do hold cute stuff.

Cute store but the owner makes the experience very uncomfortable and watches you.My partner was on her phone comparing an item to one we had seen elsewhere to see if it was the same.Little did we know he had snuck behind us to peek at the phone before lecturing us about not comparing prices. He even called out the page she was on.The funny thing is there were actually a few items we were likely going to buy including that one despite it being quite a bit more expensive.No joke, not minutes before we entered we had the exact discussion that we don’t mind paying more to support small local business.Definitely won’t be returning. There are plenty of similar shops with better customer care.

Great selection of trinkets, candles, coasters, hand lotion, and so forth. I've come here a few times to browse around and get inspiration for things I want to buy when I'm out of what I currently use for lotions and candles. They have a great sale rack too with some great finds. I've never had any issue with the salespeople here, they address everyone personally so I feel that's a plus. Also dog friendly at least with our small little pup which most stores aren't as much? So I felt service was great personally :)

Pretentious, condescending, rude, overpriced. They have lots of cool things but the staff basically wont even let you breathe on it.

Partner was taking a photo of an item to send to a friend to ask for a second opinion, with the intent of purchasing the item here when the high strung store owner sprinted over as fast as he could to literally scold her for taking photos. He was so absurdly rude we decided to leave right away. He snapped at us that he doesn’t allow photos so people don’t buy items elsewhere but guess what, now that’s exactly what I plan on doing.If the owner didn’t lord over his collection of cheesy nicknacks like he was protecting actually unique or interesting merchandise they might’ve actually made a sale. There’s a million gift shops on Valencia selling the exact same things. It’s not your customers fault they can buy your products anywhere.Read other reviews, simply looking at your phone will get yourself accosted.

Stopped in quickly yesterday before a dinner reservation, and am so glad I did. I grabbed a few ornaments and a wallet and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area- they had amazing products at great prices. I experienced friendly customer service with a little banter- which I enjoyed.
