Had to buy some cologne here because I forgot some when travelling. Amateur mistake but the staff at Walgreens took care of me very well. Some things that I noticed - very well organized with and upstairs and downstairs section. Security posted on both levels. Bright lighting and easily navigable.

I doubt this review will do anything but might as well. This store's workers were absolutely abhorrent and disrespectful in their treatment of me and another customer tonight. I offered to help an unhoused person buy a meal for the night. As she was picking out a drink from the aisle in the back (it had been maybe half a minute, she wasn't disturbing anyone), a ponytailed older male employee got right in her face and started yelling "You smell!" and "I don't want you here! You smell!" over and over again. To top it off he physically assaulted the customer as well, forcibly yanking her away from the aisle because he presumed she was "dirtying the aisle with her blanket." Fortunately he didn't escalate the attack, the customer was able to disengage and said "Please don't touch me again." He proceeded to make a comment about how he doubted "she would buy the stuff anyways." At this point I jumped in and stated I would be paying for her things. After freezing for a moment he proceeded to turn on me and yelled "Then GET HER OUT OF HERE! GET HER OUT OF HERE and there won't be any problems!" What problems? We were minding our own business before he decided to assault a customer. Other customers were staring at us, wondering what could be going on in the back drinks aisle of a Walgreens. Needless to say we did not waste our time trying to reason or argue with the worker and left immediately after paying. There were so many other more respectful, understanding ways to go about this interaction. If he truly believed the customer was "causing a disturbance" (Which again, she wasn't. She was picking out a good from the aisle.) he could have easily said so and we could have reached an agreement from there. Or better yet, been left alone to pick out the food and then leave promptly. This was pointless, needless cruelty in the entire sense of the word, meant to do little than demean and violently harass someone quite literally starving to death on the doorstep of the establishment. What's more, the funny line of "the customer is always right" seems to fly out the proverbial window when a *paying* customer is perceived as associating with an unhoused person. This employee was intentionally going out of their way to harass an unhoused civilian quietly trying to grab a meal and someone trying to help them. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. Also I hope this older ponytailed guy with spectacles operating the back aisle at 8:45 pm on 1/29/2024 gets fired. Thanks!

The sushi is NOT fresh! Be careful, the sushi lady is the owner and she buys fake seafood products. The salmon is not real and mixed so it's not noticeable. Also the sushi owner does not speak English, how did she pass the franchise? She must hire someone to take the test for her and get this franchise. She is very rude and inpatient. Do not buy her sushi because my friend got sick from eating it. She put expired fish inside it. She also fired a lot of employees wrongfully

I could not believe how friendly some of the folks are in this Walgreens! I was wearing an orthopedic boot on my foot and the security guard gave me some tips on being more comfortable with it. I came here to get my Covid booster and flu vaccine. My husband made the appointment for me, and I could swear it was for this location, but when I went up to the Pharmacy, I wasn't on their books and they believe it was for a location further down Powell. Anyway, the big burly Pharmacist asked me to fill out some forms and his staff took care of me despite not having an appointment! I was in and out quickly, waving goodbye to the security guard as I went past.

If Walgreens is loosing business, it's because they have useless staff. I rang the bell to pick up something behind the glass. I watched their staff walked by so many times talking to each. Not one person wanted to assist me. I expect to wait if they're busy. But they weren't. They were just being lazy.

They are supposed to be open until 11:00PM, me walking up at 10:40PM being turned away by there security even after seeing him let others in. It honestly sucks, where is the customer service in San Francisco? I even asked if I could just go to the register and buy something with sugar in it for my partner because he is diabetic and was still told NO, just sad, really sad.

I'm glad this Walgreens is still open. It is the best one I have ever been at. Was worried they were closing due to all the crime, but loved looks like San Fran has improved the police presence here, which is fine with me. I can get everything here, I forgot when packing, plus their prepared food section is great. Perfect for morning breakfast or lunch, and won't burn a hole in you wallet like most of the dining establishments around here.

Employees were prying on my journaling to pass time while waiting for prescribed ointment. Did not enjoy the "security guard militia" either. Ordering via phone or online from now on. Store experience was unwelcoming. Phone reception is pleasanter.

If you are African American do not go to this walgreens unless you want to be greeted by the police. I was literally stalked by security and as Im going to check out, the police come in talk to the security then come and say hello to me. As an African American I know what stores do if they think you are going to steal, a lot of walgreens do this to african americans specifically. Its truly sad, but I do not recommend this walgreens to any people of color!

I am 100% sympathetic with businesses affected by rampant shoplifting. However, that does not mean you have to treat all customers as shoplifters. A $5 food item I wanted was in a locked cabinet (seriously??? $5???.) I had merchandise of more than $5 in the shoping basket. The employee unlocked the case and pulled out the food item I wanted. The employee could not give it to me to add to the other items I was purchasing. The employee had to take the item to the checkout area. we Are not talking about a Rolex watch but a $5 jar of food. Since I do not like being treated as a shoplifter, I will NOT be shopping here again.

This is my favorite Walgreens store in the city. I love their deli department, I love that they have two floors, it's just cool all around. For me being local, I don't care about the touristy souvenirs, but they have plenty of other stuff that is very useful. Location is very convenient for me, right next to my new office, so anything that I need I can always find at this store.

This place saved my life! Thank you for having the Covid home test kit. You saved me from not seeing my friends and family this holiday. You think it's hopeless to find something or anything. Come to this Walgreens ;) you won't regret it!

The woman helping us stopped in the middle of helping my mom and walked away, then when they did, instead of using my mother's medical card they charged her from her account. AND WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING

Beautifully newly remodeled Walgreens. I love the layout. I also really love the screens on the refrigerator doors; however, I'm torn on whether that actually saves energy or waste energy.

Came here to get some medication after my dentist appointment. Very rude woman at pharmacy was keep asking me "do you understand english?" "Do you have a phone?" when I clearly couldn't speak and was holding my phone trying to type. Sooo RUDE!!!! Be little empathetic when you're dealing with patients please!
