customer service is terrible. After coming in for the second time, they refused to help me with my bank account.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Rude, unhelpful, wouldn’t let me pay a car bill that I wanted to pay them, refused to help in any way, kept referring to nonsensical solutions that didn’t actually resolve the problem. Held my bill hostage unless I got a bank of america account.
Update: spoke to corporate office and they were able to help me do exactly what the people at this branch refused to do unless I opened a checking account- pay my bill digitally and set up auto bill pay from my account with another bank. So not only rude and unhelpful, dishonestly attempted to trick me into opening an account I didn’t need.

I have $872 on my debit card, which is bound to automatic payment by AT&T. I went abroad for more than a month without using AT&T's network, and $359 and $698 were debited from my debit card, totaling $1,050. I went to the bank to ask on the day of the transfer. Why is my balance exceeded? The manager of the bank said that I had better ask AT&T for a refund. AT&T refused to refund the money and said that if your mobile phone can receive text messages after going abroad, it means it has service, so the data fee is 500 per month. My feeling is that it is not safe to keep money in the bank⚠️ and the bank also fined me. It should not be possible to pay if the balance is insufficient, so why does the bank want to overpay? Then the bank manager helped me appeal and successfully got my money back?. Thank you bank managers!

Am I really giving five stars to a corporate financial entity? Sort of, well only that it's about the Bank of America branch in this lively part of the Sunset District. I've been to other branches that don't impress, so the high rating is reserved only for here. Top-notch customer service is my typical experience. This bank has been here all my life, and it is still extremely committed to serving the community. Irving B of A has without fail, been great when helping my parents with their accounts through the decades. And me as well. The leadership of this branch is excellent, Mr. Y. Chan in particular. He's a kind thoughtful caring manager, even covers for the tellers when they're on break, and even works Saturdays. And even when the management has changed, for instance when Mr. Chak transferred to a different location after heading this office for years, the service is still all about the customer. Thanks Bank Of America Irving Street, for always being there for us and for providing consistently excellent customer service and management.

I have been banking of Bank of America since 1968. I live in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood in San Francisco and several years ago the local branch of the bank closed our neighborhood, but they left the ATM open. Last week the ATM for Bank of America closed so there is no place in my neighborhood to do my banking. I have to drive in traffic to the Sunset neighborhood and find paid parking in a place where it is difficult to park. And to make matters worse they don't open until 10am at the branch on 800 Irving Street. That is when all the shops open and parking is more difficult. In the Bank of America Branch in the outer Sunset neighborhood that branch opens at 9am before all of their shops open. My funds located at Bank of America are written into my Living Trust so now I have to find another bank and hire an attorney to change the information in my Living Trust. Bank of America cares nothing for their customers and I am fed up with them and will search for another bank. Bank of America left my neighborhood high and dry. There is no bank located here. Chase Bank opened several years ago but closed due to lack of customer interest. I wish they had stayed because I could now have changed to them.

Kevin is the best guy ever. He is so patience helpful. He tried a few more ways to help me resolve my issue. But he was stuck at the teller but he asked another lady to educate me how to operate at the ATM. Even though it was not successful but they told me how to do it online and prepare me any upcoming questions that might arise. Best service I have received from a bank lately.

Customer service here has been mixed at this location. There is metered parking outside, but parking is difficult to find during lunch hours due to so many restaurants and other businesses nearby on Irving St.

Called this office to ask a question about opening an account. Waited on hold for 20 minutes and no one picked up the phone.go to the financial center, and were told that no one could help us because "there is no banker here, and the won't be until this branch closes in February".Get home to realize that I could do everything online. Don't know why you couldn't tell me that in person, or walk me through it at the financial center. When I complained that BoA is closing the branches which are close and convenient to me, they stated that the location 20 blocks away is "just down the road", which I can not walk to from my house and has no parking. It is also located at one of the busiest and most dangerous intersections in town.

Went at noon time the line was backing up and there was one teller at the window. The mgr or head teller should be cognizant about the line getting long and open up one more window. Not rocket science. Especially during lunch hour people do their banking. I'm sure the head teller/supervisor can be a fill-in and stepped up to the plate. I would like to add Henry Chan is super professional and an efficient team staff. I was early and he returned from lunch and he rushed into his office and assisted me right away. I told him to not hurry and to settle in since I was early (I arrived 15 minutes early for the appointment). He was very quick and clearly knows his job and my transaction was completed in 15 minutes. He clearly exemplifies a model employee and B of A is privileged to have him on their team. Thank you Mr. Chan, I really appreciate your diligence in assisting me that Friday afternoon. I wish more employees would model after you. You are a true professional!

STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY-- choose any bank but BE VERY WARY OF THIS BRANCH. For many years i banked at this Branch -- and i was injured by a drunk driver and had a physically crippling stroke and i could not walk or talk -- after i was in the rehab hospital and walking and talking i went to this branch and they refused to open my checking account and insisted that i pay $100 cash to re open my old account. They kept my $100 and did not re open my account-- Anyway Stay Away From the Bank of America Inner Sunset/Irving branch.
