I have been a business client here since 2016. I do not live in the area and I was told by the Branch Manager Diana that I would receive a call from her directly on 1/29/2024 to deal with an issue that I brought to her attention on 1/26/2024 when I was in the branch. Not only did she not follow through and contact me, NOBODY answers the phone. I circulated through the branches phone system for 2 hours selecting "speak to someone at this branch". There is no option to leave a message and nobody answers.
Additionally, during the PPP Loan Application process, this same Branch Manger, told me that there was no way to track my application because they "had so many customers, they couldn't track the applications". I had to get demanding, reminding her that Bank of America is my representative and that it's unacceptable to essentially say, "so many people trust us with their money, that we can't provide service". Oddly enough, she was able to find my application and it got approved immediately after me pushing for a clear answer.
YET AGAIN, this branch and/or Bank of America is proving that they are not capable of proving services to their long time clients. FRUSTRATED

DO NOT place your money at this or any Bank of America institution. According to the BofA business line, they are unable to call any specific branch as they are not allowed or able to make outbound calls, even to their banks????? and this branch does not answer their phones. Today, I repeatedly cycled their phone system selecting #4 to speak with someone at this branch, not one since answer in 2 hours! B of A has closed all of their branches in Mendocino County and so to contact the branch manager at this location, I will be driving 2.5 hours to get the basic customer service that I am in need of!

Waited in line a little over an hour to cash a check today. Only ONE TELLER, and I was 11th in line. When I got to the window, I asked to speak to the manager. I complained about the wait and she told me I could have used the ATM since it was a simple transaction. I told her I did not want to use the ATM or deposit the check, I needed to cash it. She was very dismissive and said she was sorry I had to wait but from her attitude she couldn't care less. Very poor service at this branch. I'm seriously considering taking my business elsewhere, and I would strongly suggest not doing business with them if you have alternatives.

I usually only review Irish bars and pubs but this bank tried to screw me so bad I'm writing this. Avoid this place; use a local bank.

BofA = Bank of Fees and A-Holes. Minus 5 stars would be an appropriate rating. Read this review what a disgusting so-called "Bank" this is. This so-called bankrupt "Bank of America" is downsizing everywhere while nickel and diming its clients with fees, disservices and a hell of an authoritarian style "apparatchik" attitude. An omen of things to come. I have for 20 years a [small business] business account with the Noe Valley branch. the employees there were relatively nice and helpful but with tendency to be on a very bureaucratic side. probably a from the top-down thing. A few years ago this branch also downsized much in terms of opening days and opening hours. Also they didn't spare doing a full remodel downsizing only to an former "East German" style one teller station and some glass cage offices. Whereas before it was a far more welcoming friendly and comfortably open environment. In recent times the entire crew changed and now you have some high strung tiger mom type Asian ladies there who treat you like as if you were a common criminal, with or without mask. The level of distrust and linear sequential process thinking they exude towards you is appalling. Now I know that BofA had always a little bit of an "FU" attitude but now it tilted over into despotic authoritarianism. I recently needed to cash a check and they made it so difficult, not only asking suddenly for ID (To deposit or cash a check?) but also that I verify my business i.e. business certificate/registration and other nonsense. I gave up. What's next? They want my Social Security number and tax returns too??? Maybe I have to be a vegan too? When I mentioned that I am with them for 20 years and never got treated like that and when I go to an ATM all I need to do is stick in my card and enter my pin code. The same as at the teller's. If it 's good enough for the ATM, why this drama now? The amateur attitude reply was: "then go to the ATM". Really? Would've been actually more decent to be totally honest and say right away GFY! A few months ago I made a cash deposit and discovered two months later that I silently got charged a garden-variety of fees; a fee for cash deposit, A fee for balance dipping momentarily below a threshold* and a deposit fee. *one of their minimums is a $2000 minimum balance throughout the month/year per account. You dip for 1 millisecond by 1 cent below that and they get an immediate hard-on and charge you $12 "account maintenance". (another word for "one of our ways to screw around with you and extract some money from you") In other words: you basically have to give involuntarily BofA a continuous minimum "loan" of $2000 per account for which you have to pay a penalty a.k.a. pay the pervs "interest" if you skip a fraction of a second below it by 1 cent! You can do the math for yourself what this would be as an interest rate equivalent if you had $1,999.99 and pay over 12 months $144 interest.... Since you can not email them and it takes forever to get anybody on the phone I once again have to waste my time and make an appointment. I was greeted by some unshaven, bald headed and snotty "Amerikanskiye Sovietskiye Apparatchik" so-called "Banker" dressed in jeans and wearing a T-shirt!!! You call that a bank??? Seriously? Dress code anyone?? You want me to trust you? His attitude was also befitting to his appearance. It would be better to replace this guy with an AI robot which likely has better mannerisms and appearance. I'm so f...... done with them! I will close my accounts and find a credit union.

Horrible staff. Walking in to actually close my account and was rudely approached by Diana saying that they were all busy for me to come back later. Horrible!

Rare to find an institution as ridiculously unhelpful as BofA and this branch takes the cake. Utterly useless in every regard.

I've gone into this bank and politely asked for quarters to do laundry. Most banks ask if I'm a customer and immediately say no if I'm not. This bank in the Castro doesn't. It's a beautiful bank that cares about the community. It even has a space upstairs it has for the community to utilize for meetings. Wow

BofA is a Joke there is no way to get customer service ... they say that they're transferring you and then making you jump thru all the hoops, then they say that their agents are not available and to call back later today. Making it sound like they're open.. but they're not .. because when you call the other number that wasn't about billpay they at least admitted that they were closed .. . after making you jump thru all the hoops. There is no way to leave a message in the message center.. it is 1-way push communication from the bank to you. It says you can *view* messages there. If you're having a problem .. tough luck!! There's no way to reach an agent... I started trying at 8:15pm. I should just be able to reach an agent .. but they don't even pay for a bot! or agents to answer messages or .. Customer Service at all! What do they do with all the $$$ they rake in from all their affairs?!! They Certainly do not put it into customer service! BofA Customer service ranks alongside... just marginally better than the notorious Century Link.

I'm not a customer, but needed help closing a family members account. The staff here is very kind and provided me with all the necessary documents and information needed. I was able to get all my questions answered on the spot. They were kind enough to work with me, even without an appointment.

I don't understand this place. Despite opening at 10am no teller is available to help at 10:45. What a joke

Why does this location still have limits on quarters? We live in an apartment building with an overpriced coin-op that costs $6 a load in quarters. This is my local branch and has been limiting me to $10 every time I go in. So, I have to go into the branch almost every time I want to do laundry. I’m not using any less quarters, it’s simply making me have to go to the branch much more frequently and add to the already lengthy queue. The federal reserve site says there is currently an adequate coin supply, and the most recent news story I can find about the national coin shortage is from early 2022. When I’ve gone to other BofA branches there is never any limit on what I can withdraw recently. I’ve been an account holder for almost a decade with a very well kept balance. Getting quarters for laundry is one of the most basic services I need from this BofA and my local branch can’t even service that. Am I supposed to trust them with a mortgage or other services?Adding a star because the tellers and workers are pleasant good people. This review is for the GM that is mandating this as I know other branches don’t have this policy.

Came here two different weeks and in both cases there was no teller service and no notice of this online.
