Long lines, condescending tellers. Not friendly and only go INTO the bank when I HAVE to.

If you are black / bipoc / or of a darker hue just now they are going to card u to time so bring a Social Security card or a birth certificate. They will ask for two forms of id but not if you want to just deposit your check whether or not the checks are issued by this institution, I witnessed other clients on multiple occasions just show their debit card input a PIN number and get access to cash. My checks are never bouncing, and they are unfair with the client engagement. This location needs a nice audit, Dianne and another gentleman I believe alton, or Aldridge made the experience better. 5 stars for them getting my unemployment funds but reasonably I took all cash out of my account after I needed to go home to get 2 forms of id because of the amount of the check I was cashing

I had an appointment with Cherry Huang (NMLS ID: 2314310) on October 27 at 1:00pm. I got there exactly at 1:00pm but wasn't attended until 1:25pm. I wouldn't have minded to wait if the staff gave me a valid reason for the delay but I was completely blindsided. I asked countless of times for Cherry Huang but was not helped whatsoever. When she did attend me, she was not helpful in anyway. I had multiple questions about opening a business banking account with Bank Of America but the answers were short answers with no reasoning behind them. I am upset about my experience today and unfortunately I am thinking of closing my personal account with them. I wouldn't not like for someone to experience this specially if you trusting the bank to put your money.

Fake five star reviews. I would leave a -5 stars if I could. . It's 1:05 in the afternoon, a customer line out the door and only one teller who appears to be completely absent while chashing after a client request. Clearly, B of A stands for a bunch of A-holes. I have been tolerating this ridiculousness for years and it only continues to worsen. If I didn't believe closing this account would hurt my credit score I would've left along time ago.

I wish I could give this location no stars. The absolute worst customer service. I went in this past Saturday morning (5/14/22) to get quarters. I'm standing in line and see 1 teller for the business customers, 1 teller for the regular customer and this other worker (a short Asian girl with glasses and a short haircut) walking around with a tablet. So while waiting forever in the regular customer line, of course the line builds up behind me and I'm hearing people starting complain about only 1 teller being available. In the midst of this, the wandering worker with the tablet asks me if she could help me and I told her I just needed quarters and she goes, "oh, ok, you're in the right line..." wtf?? Why bother asking me if she could help me if she wasn't going to help me???? She then asks the people behind me the same questions and tells them the same thing. Of course that irritates everyone. So I finally get up to the teller (a short somewhat middle looking aged Asian guy) and I ask him for $20 in quarters and he gives me only $10 in quarters with no explanation why. I then said, "oh, I asked for $20" and he goes, "I can only give you $10" and slides the roll and my $10 bill. Even more annoyed, I didn't say anything. As I gathered my money, he then asks me very rudely, "do you have an account here?" And I said, "yes, does that matter?" And he goes, "yes it does." And then I said, "really? Then you should have asked me and verified this before you gave me the quarters...." And I walked away. Never will I go back to this location. In fact I'm thinking about closing my account with Bank of America for good!

Came by this branch to do a quick withdrawal. Ethel and team was very helpful in asking the right questions to make sure I was in and out of this branch quickly. Branch is very remodeled from the last time I came by. Worth the wait to be assisted!

This BOA branch consistently provides a positive experience. Thanks to Max Sartaguda for resolving an issue I had to my benefit - even though the bank was not at fault. It's that kind of service that makes for loyal customers and keeps us coming back - which I've been doing for 20 years now.

I was at this bank earlier to supposedly open 2 accounts with my brother and niece. When we got inside, it wasn't busy. Only 1 person in line waiting for a teller to call him. We asked one of the lady who was on the floor. Unfortunately, no one is available to help us so we made an appointment instead. My brother needed to cash his check so i told him to wait in line while i go to the atm and deposit cash. As i was walking back to my brother who was in line already. This other lady walked out of the room with another lady she helped and walked straight at the other side of the line. The man in front of us got called by a teller (same man who was in line when we walked in) and the lady was like excuse me, excuse me. So i told her he was there already, he was already waiting. My niece told me she rolled her eyes at me. Then its supposed to be our turn but instead she walked to the teller when one became available. I was so pissed. Other specialist who helps open an account usually go behind the line. She also said i am with my client. Hahahahah!!! What i am not considered a client? After she was done at the teller, she told me loud and clear. "You can take this up with my supervisor". What happened to customer service? She didn't asked in the beginning (nicely) if she can go first, i would've let her go. It's really sad how she was acting. If she had a bad day today, please don't take it on other people especially your customer/client (cause i am considered a client too). On the other hand, the lady that helped us at the teller was really nice. Her name is "Dianna". I made sure i got her name. She apologized for someone else's rudeness. If she hasn't done so, i probably called and talk to her supervisor. Instead of me walking out the door angry, she just made my day. You ROCK dianna!!! I am giving this location 3 star because of dianna. Other wise negative 20 stars

I'm surprised by the really poor ratings of this BofA. I went today and had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and being patient when I needed to do something. They helped me open an account with ease, and explained what I needed to do to set things up to avoid fees. I'll be going here regularly for sure.

Employees as well as manager were very rude. I have been with Bank of America for many years and this was by far my worst experience. If you need something done I highly recommend going to a different location because they will waste your time and ruin your mood.

If you want to be treated like a criminal when cashing a check, this branch is for you. They will ask for 2 forms of ID if you're black. But only one of you're not. They will verify and see you've cashed checks but then act like they have go through secondary forms of verification before giving you your money. They'll stick the token check person in your face to pacify you. This experience is horrible to say the least.

I would NOT bank with BofA. Not easy to bank with- Been a Bof A customer for 15years plus and I do not think I've enjoyed BofA service ever. Maybe a few times. But you have stolen enough money from me over the years.. Last night might be the final straw I'm currently up to 11 code verification texts. Enough already! I don't work for you... After 2 hours and multiple password resets I'm still trying to finish what I started. I have three accounts each with savings and checking, 2 business and 1 personal and trying to transfer and pay vendors has not been smooth and easy. I understand security features, but I followed your instructions over and over again and got in!! Yea!!but somehow now this morning I'm locked out of my accounts and called BofA and I'm on hold waiting......still waiting......still waiting to fix this.......I should have just written a check . BofA is not my future of banking. And Zella...why? I have PayPal and Venmo and those are quick and easy.

Today I went into the branch at 1640 Van Ness St San Francisco. I came in there to cash a settlement check from my attorney Who has an account there. I went to the teller sign the back of the check gave her my ID and my fingerprint 10 minutes later she called the manager James Meyer over. They had words he came over to me waved check in my face and said we can't cash it. It was very rude to me maybe because The bank is not in the best of areas and then maybe he thought I was somebody from off the street in jeans,my hair wasn't done and I was African-American Female. I asked what was the reason he told me for the customers security he couldn't tell me. I called my lawyer and told him that there was a problem with the check. My lawyer came down and talk to Mr. Meyer five minutes later his whole demeanor changed he tried to be nice to me then. I am very appalled at the way I was treated at Bank of America one of the oldest banks that I can remember in San Francisco which parents had an account with. I am so disappointed at the way I was treated belittled and humiliated and disrespected. I am so glad I do my banking with Wells Fargo where they at least know how to treat A customer.

Don't even get a bank account at BOA, and don't even try this branch. They can't solve any of your problems with any online issue. They will ask you to reach out to online banking yourself. Period. If I can solve this through phone why would I waste my time to visit the physical branch. Think carefully before you decide to open an account with BOA. Don't even worth one star.
