WORSE SERVICE EVER. They are a complete sham. They changed a battery for me in January and less than 2 months later, the battery is dead. They're refusing to replace the battery without paying to pay a $95 fee for them to come out to me. I've offered to come to them and they claim it's "impossible as all drivers are always on the road". DO NOT pay for their service or battery because it's poor quality parts AND horrible service that nickels and dimes you.

Geico roadside assistance sent Atlas to help me with a dead battery. Noel showed up way before ETA and was fast, efficient and friendly. Got a good deal on a brand new battery as mine was on it's way out. Great service!

I have thought about recent events and feel I must share the experience with everyone. I hope you never need to deal with it, but should you encounter a similar experience, be forewarned! As many of you know, I was recently involved with a rather nasty traffic collision on my motorcycle. I was rushed to the hospital where I spent over three weeks in S F General. Side note, these guys and gals saved my life so thank you from the bottom of my heart! My Harley was towed by Atlas Tow (yes, I'll use their name since everything I share is 100% accurate). I was in ICU with 10 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, broken hand, and fractured foot...not to mention a blood infection (see what I mean about saving my life?). Fortunately my best friend had the foresight to remind me my bike was in storage and obviously costing money by the day. I called the tow company and told them I was sending my "brother" down to collect the bike and pay the tow fee. They tell me that they can not release the bike to him! Only I, or my insurance company could claim the motorcycle. I advised them I was unable to get down there having tubes stuck in my chest and that since I only had liability, the insurance company had no interest in the thing. Nope! Plain and simple it had to be me!?! Having served in law enforcement, I assumed that maybe the bike was impounded for some reason rather than stored (Yes, big difference). I called the authorizing agency, in this case the S.F.C.H.P., and spoke to an officer who confirmed it was merely stored and no hold was placed. I pleaded with the officer to contact Atlas Tow and remind them of that, which they did...Thanks. I recalled Atlas Tow who now told me they would release it to my friend, but only after I sent them an email with a copy of my Driver's license along with a copy of the person claiming the bike. Better, but remember I am in ICU at SF General in massive amount of pain and very limited resources. Despite all that I was able to comply with the request and my buddy was able to get straight down there to pick it up. The bike is laid out in a dirt storage yard, no protection from elements when my friend got there. He goes in and pays the $1131. for tow and two days storage. Turns out the bike is drivable, go Harley, but the fairing and windshield are falling apart. My buddy goes in and asks if they have some duct tape, string, rope, anything to secure it so he can safely drive it home and the employees refuse any kind of help! I guess the company was angry, speculation, that they could only take $1100 from me? Also, when I finally got home from the hospital 24 days later, I am getting DMV notices that Atlas planned on selling my bike in a lien sale. Mind you they only had my bike for two days and already filed the paperwork to sell my Harley out from under me. Had I not had a great friend to get my bike out when he did, I would have had a much larger storage bill and possibly not even have a bike to retrieve.I don't know if all tow companies use these same tactics, but shame on you Atlas Tow! To take advantage of someone during a traumatic time as this is just plain unethical! Sorry this went on so long, but I had to share and wish there was more I could do to prevent others from becoming victimized in the same manner.

My insurance company sent Atlas to tow my scooter to the shop. They arrived earlier than projected (which was in any event really quick) and were fantastic. Having to have something towed is never fun, but Gerald made it fun. He took great care of my scooter and happily pushed it up the steep ramp from my garage to the truck. He was very knowledgeable about how to secure it to the truck. I rode with him to the shop and he was very entertaining the whole way.

StAy away from these people...HORRIBLE Horrible horrible... I call to make a request for a tow. I tell them exact details of my vehicle. They quote me 225.00 to go 9 miles??!!! Ridiculously but I AM in need so I agree. The tow truck driver shows up and makes a phone call. Then He says that the new rate would be 410.00!!! wow what a way to take advantage of someone in need... Then I call Marci who gave me the original quote and she decides to hang up on me saying I'm harassing her cause I call to understand why she would change the original rate we agreed upon when she already knew the exact details of my vehicle??? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Her reason for changing the rate was "the driver came to asses the situation to get a better idea of what he was towing".. What a joke.Immediately after I called PAYLESS TOWING got quoted 225. Gave him the same info and paid exactly what he said he was going to charge.

Had my car towed twice in one day, and both times, Atlas was great. They were friendly and responsive with scheduling. Oscar quickly came to the rescue both times and is such a pleasure to work with. He made the process easy pleasant in an otherwise unpleasant situation. If you find yourself in need of a tow, Atlas is the way to go. (Note: do not tow your car to Wheel Works under any circumstances. They suck.)
