We are prolific realtors in San Francisco who obsess about presenting properties we list in their best possible light. We focus on the details for finishes getting the right colors, hardware, lighting and fixtures just right. Coy and Company's efforts, skill and inventory enhance our efforts so as to elevate a property to that next level leading to sales outcomes that exceed what the market would have otherwise predicted. We've worked with Reginald for at least a decade and bring him and Geoffrey our best listings and find them easy to work with — with availability being the biggest challenge because they are in demand. The overall quality of the items they bring, the understanding of a space and how their talents blend with our vision are worth the increased cost that C+C will charge over other stagers. With C+C, however, you end up with a quiet confidence that your property will shine and outperform.

I really wanted to enjoy Coy & Co but unfortunately their lack of respect and professionalism prevented that. After promising us for months that they could take on our project in Jan and even having us sign agreements and a scope of work, they informed us that they would not be able to start for at least 2 years.I am pleased that I discovered how untrustworthy they are before actually working with them. If only I had learne that right away and not wasted 6 months thinking they were professionals and would honor their promises.

After seeing their work, we recently hired Arthur McLaughlin to stage our house. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the whole process. We were never told that Kirk Johnson, whom we had originally contacted and who met with us, was not our stager. After meeting Kirk and seeing his work in our neighborhood, we assumed we would have the same quality experience and were very excited. We should have been notified of the change, and the staging crew should have met with us prior to furnishing our house to get a feel for what we were looking for. The first run was disastrous. Animal heads and fake greenery everywhere as well as oversized, dark furniture did not capture the Scandinavian feeling and airiness of our house. The final staging was just average and received no kudos from neighbors or potential buyers. The furniture for the final staging was hastily cobbled together from the warehouse. The white sofa was stained with dark, visible marks, there was hair on the chairs in the front room and in the sinks, and the white table in the kitchen was way too large for the space. The pictures in the loft area were old and covered with a dusty film. The living room floor was covered with white debris; fortunately, we arrived before the first open house to clean up the mess. No thought was put into staging our place. We received sub par items due to not enough inventory (as Kirk alluded to in our conversations) and too many houses to stage. In addition, much of the work described in our contract was not completed. We did ask for a deduction from the final portion due from our staging bill as the work was not up to the standard that we expected and not completed according to the staging proposal. Kirk contacted us with a very condescending reply which was totally unprofessional. Perhaps Arthur McLaughlin Staging has become too busy and should consider more inventory of a quality nature. Since the company was recently sold, they should also let the client know up front who is in charge of their project. Over all, this was a terribly frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend them to anyone in the future.
