This is the dirtiest filthiest worse than anything I've seen, I can't believe that anyone would let their business go this bad, was the knowledge of germs and disease I don't understand why someone can't take a little 409 and a rag and clean up a little bit. Please bring your gloves if you're going to go there.

I've had 2 very negative experiences at the Caroll St. Arco with the older, dare I say gentleman with white hair. The first one was extremely bad! I tried to pay at the pump and my debit card was skimmed. After inserting my card, I attempted to use my pin, but it wouldn't allow the transaction to continue. I got a bad feeling, so I canceled & then went inside to pay. I told the man with grey hair at the counter what happened, but he clearly played dumb as if he had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I've spoken with him on multiple occasions when purchasing gas & NEVER was anything lost in translation. That same morning, within about 45 minutes of buying gas & going home, I was called by my bank's fraud prevention service, alerting me that there was an attempt to use my account # at an ATM across town to withdraw $280, but failed. Then they tried to buy over $300 in breakfast at a restaurant, but failed again. Both times, my bank declined the transaction, & then called me to verify if I had lost it, if it was stolen or if it was actually me using my card. But my card was in my purse at home with me. Thank God for their efficiency! My card was canceled & I had the inconvenience of having to go to my bank & unable to go to an ATM until I was issued a new one. Later that day, I returned to the ARCO on Caroll St to let him know what happened & that his system had been compromised. AGAIN, he played dumb. I shared his reaction with my bank & a formal report was made. My second negative encounter happened this morning around 2am after getting off work. I found that my tire was quite flat & concerned about safety, so I didn't get on the freeway. I tried to get air at a few stations, but to no avail. I then went to the ARCO on Caroll St., saw the air/water machine & pulled right up. ALL the other stations had "Out of order" signs, but this one didn't, so I assumed it was in working order. I'm tired, it's late & also raining, therefore I didn't want to get out of my car more than I had to. The machine looked usable, costing $2 while the others were $1. Again, no sign saying it's broken so I deposited my 8 quarters...and NOTHING! I got in my car & pulled up to the window so he would turn it on or for reimbursement. He said it didn't work & refused to give me $2 back. I told him that there should be a sign to prevent anyone from wasting their money, especially since he KNEW that it wasn't working. It's raining at dark:30am in the morning, & I'm a woman alone on the road with a flat tire. He had absolutely NOTHING for me in the form of assistance, but an unprofessional BAD ATTITUDE & basically theft of my money for the SECOND time. HIS customer service is quite poor, useless & delivered with blatant disregard to my obvious circumstances & to HIS open lack of professional courtesy. I now have two times of disappointment and super monetary inconvenience!!
I've spent significant money there over the years, but NEVER AGAIN!! I'll also alert my ample group of friends & family who patronize the Arco Gas Station on Caroll St in San Francisco, CA to my significantly disgruntled dissatisfaction, so they SHALL take their money & business elsewhere. And they most certainly will! FACTS!! Yelp, the BBB, Google Maps reviews & the Arco parent company are next. My Google reviews have over 5,000 views & comments regarding places & businesses that I've suggested visiting. The ARCO on Caroll St in SF, CA will be one I suggest to completely AVOID, because the cashier is disengenuously unhelpful, AND your money may be in jeopardy because they definitely don't take care of their equipment nor do they take care of their customers. It's also not very well kept, as it just looks dirty/greasy & there's trash accumulation in & around the garbage cans. I probably should've stopped going to the ARCO Gas Station on Caroll Street a whil

This is one of the gas stations of this famous branch that is always dirtiest, it is unpleasant to see the garbage cans always full and with a bad smell and the garbage on the floor. There are even some dispensing machines that smell so much of gasoline that it seems that It was leaking, the card readers work but it is totally disgusting to have to touch the keyboard to enter the security key or select the type of gasoline, I could see people throwing the garbage directly on the floor, it gives the impression of being in a very insecure.
