1069 Howard St, San Francisco“I was wandering along in San Francisco on my way to visit the bookbinder museum when I met the owner of The Box SF, Mark. When I told him I was interested in books and other historical items, he graciously invited me to enter his shop. The outside is discrete and belies how magical the inside space truly is. When you enter, you're immediately blown away by the vintage art and artifacts everywhere. Mark and his assistant, Israel, gave me a mini-tour and explained how the shop specializes in ephemera, which refers to items that were designed for short-term use (advertising prints, perfume bottles, soap labels, etc). The shop contains items from the mid-1800s to the early-1900s from around the world. Everything is in great condition and attests to the craftsmanship of earlier time periods. What was supposed to be a quick 20-30 minute visit turned into a 2-hour visit.Everywhere you turn, there's something new to take in. I love antique and thrift stores, yet I have never encountered anything as unique as The Box. I found some souvenirs to take home with me and even the wrapping paper was this cool, historical print. The Box is a treasure trove for people who love vintage, antique, or novel artifacts. If that's your style, you have to visit.”

“Yury did an amazing job rewiring two very complicated, vintage European chandeliers for me, as well as making some smaller fixes to some treasured pendant lamps. Super quick, professional, and friendly. We're so lucky to have Yury in San Francisco!”
“They are the best, and have been for years. I can't think of anyone else who can do what they do. They have been repairing my family silver for decades now.”
“Great experience! Loved being able to build my own bracelet. It's a little overpriced for the materials but I guess not for the area. Staff is awesome! Lots of other good things in the shop to buy as well!”

1737 Post St #365, San Francisco“Great shop! Got some very nice coasters from there. Would’ve bought a dozen other things if I didn’t have to get on a plane the next day. Will revisit next time I’m there”
“Great selection of one of a kind rings! Marcus was very knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy when it came to choosing an engagement ring. Just the experience I was looking for. We look forward to designing our own wedding bands here. Come and support this family owned SF business that’s been around 100+ years!”
“I engaged The Yes Co to conduct an estate sale for me in my house in SF. I had collected antique furniture for many years and everyone said how lovely and interesting it made my house. However, when I needed to sell the furniture people they said no one would buy it. Everyone wants the latest styles and few one want antiques these days.
Well, Kevin Black and staff proved the nay-sayers wrong. They drew very large crowds and conducted the sale in an organized manner. I’m delighted to say that almost everything sold, even the up-right piano! That was something that I hoped wouldn’t have to be destroyed to move it out of the house and they sold it. Not only that, the total sale proceeds were much more than expected!
I would highly recommend The YES Co when you need to find someone to help you with the sad task of emptying your home when the time comes to do so.”

2633 Taylor St, San Francisco“This has to be the best souvenir shop in SF. They have an entire wall dedicated to tote bags and their souvenirs are the absolute cutest. Also, the prices are unbeatable. This store prides itself on having some of the lowest prices out of all The Wharf gift shops. Also, the owners are the sweetest ❤️ I highly recommend this SF gem ? ✨️ when you're there grab yourself an SF reversible rain jacket- on one side it's nylon to protect you from the rainy days, flip it inside out and you have yourself the cutest fleece jacket with cute SF embroidery on the back ? ?”
“What a treasure... If you can't find something beautiful to bring home, then you're broken!Shiny vintage glassware, bar carts and accessories, light fixtures, furniture and art.BONUS, there's a gorgeous, friendly Siamese cat named Jules!”
“Tom is incredibly knowledgeable and generous with his time. My wife and I had a problem with a locked drawer on a piece of furniture and he spent nearly an hour working on getting it open with all the antique keys he had. Very kind of him!”
“My husband and I love this place. There are so many items there: from high quality antiques to unusual ecclectic curiosities. The price is also very reasonable. There is no reason to spend more on new furniture of poor quality and has no character. David is very knowledgeable in European antique and has a lot of exquisite pieces from Europe. We love coming to the store just to browse but never left empty-handed.”

366 Jefferson St, San Francisco“This is the last classic maritime store in the Fisherman's Wharf area. While everywhere else seems to have become a t-shirt shop, Frank's Fisherman sells authentic nautical items. Like a cool museum inside with a vast number of exciting items to browse. Also, lots of books, antiques, high end clothing are on display. A must stop shopping experience for real sailors, or anyone who is interested in the sea going lifestyle.”
9AM - 5:30PM
3100 Steiner St, San Francisco“Very kind, thoughtful owner. We didn't end up using his services because we wanted our antique table disassembled for storage instead of restored (ultimately didn't make sense to do) but he spent a good 10 minutes brainstorming how best to store our table even after we declined his work.”
“The owner Phyllis is an absolute delight of a human! Awesome selection of curiosities and antiques from over 150 years ago. Amazing service; what a wonderful neighborhood gem!”
“Fantastic service and such beautiful items. Purchase a victorian mirror and it is perfect in my living room. The sisters who are the purveyors of these beautiful antiques and vintage items were so sweet. Very nice eclectic shop.”

6101 Geary Blvd, San Francisco“This antique store was beyond cool! It had some great pieces, smaller pieces were more affordable. If you’re looking for truly vintage and more eclectic pieces this is the PERFECT place to go. Even just to browse I would recommend going!”
“I purchased an opal and diamond ring from Lang when I was in San Francisco several years ago. When my husband, Mike, was shopping for my birthday present, we decided to look at Lang’s selection online. I found the perfect pair of diamonds earrings and Mike worked with Tracey to have them shipped overnight. They are prettier in person than in the picture. We would normally never order diamonds online but I trust Lang and will continue to shop with them.”
