We like many are guilty of not writing enough deserving reviews, but our experience with Aldea & the team has left us inspired. Our whole experience shopping and learning with them has continuously left us in awe. The passion and knowledge the team shares goes above and beyond expectations, and we feel lucky to have had Aldea as a resource.
Not only did we find the majority of what we were looking for, but we were even able to book a car seat installation appointment, where you are shown, and then guided to install/uninstall the seat. In all honesty, without this guidance, us doing this alone would have involved a lot of frustration, likely ending in worry as to whether we did it correctly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Again, thank you for the continued impressionable experiences that we will share with others. You make preparing to be parents feel so much better and we cannot thank you enough. We can't wait for our next visit.

First time parents looking for baby stuff and thought this was going to be the perfect place. Upon walking in employees seemed very uninterested in us. We tried asking questions but never really got answers that were helpful. We were excited for this first time shopping experience but didn't turn out like we hoped

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent encounter my husband and I had at your store.We visited your store to purchase a stroller. We received assistance from one of your employees, and it was already placed at the cashier for payment. While we were managing our son and approaching the cashier, we were unexpectedly approached by another store worker who insisted we leave within two minutes, citing the store's closing time was 6PM.It was disheartening to feel rushed and pressured, especially considering we were in the process of making a legitimate purchase. The comment that "here in California, we let our employees leave on time" left us feeling unwelcome and we left without purchasing the stroller.As customers, we understand the importance of respecting closing hours, but it seemed unreasonable to be chased out while actively trying to complete a purchase that was initiated. We believe that a more considerate approach could have been taken, given the circumstance of finalizing a significant transaction.The store is cute and carries many items so I see why people would end up there to buy baby items in SF, however there are places that sell the same things and employees actually speak to customers respectfully.We value our shopping experiences and hope that this feedback can contribute to a more customer-friendly environment in the future.Note: We bought the same stroller at Bloomingdales the following day at 10% off..

So happy I had the opportunity to stop here during my trip to San Francisco! This lovely shop is expertly curated with a wide range of high-quality baby gear to suit a variety of parenting/caretaking needs. In addition to the latest UPPAbaby and Nuna stroller and car seat models, they also had a great Silver Cross and Cybex selection--it was sooooo nice to FINALLY be able to test drive a Gazelle! There's a nice selection of nursery furniture (Ouef, Monte), clothes, toys, high chairs (all the Stokke options), and just about any other gear you might need for your little one. The sales associates were very friendly and helpful; they know their products inside and out. All in all it was a great experience, and I will definitely be creating a registry here to integrate with my Babylist. SF parents-to-be, don't sleep on this shop; it's rare to find a store with kind of quality and expertise, and I hope it remains a staple on Valencia St. for many years to come!

The small, discrete storefront is deceptive because this store has a TON of stuff. Small but mighty perhaps? Still probably large for SF. Parking was a PITA in the Mission as usual so suggest packing patience or plan for other transportation. My wife and I are expecting and dropped in just to look at strollers. They let us try out the strollers, talked us through everything we needed to know and then some about them and left us to browse. The staff is very knowledgable on everything baby and suggested we schedule some appointments to talk through other baby equipment like cribs. They suggested appointments are better during the weekdays when there's less foot traffic so plan accordingly! My favorite part is that there's no pressure to buy from them and very interested in hearing how we live so that they can offer better suggestions and recommendations. There were even certain high dollar items they suggested were unnecessary for most parents. The service brought me in and the honest guidance is what makes me want to stay! This experience was nothing less than 5 stars!

Super fun baby store to visit. Everything is here the best quality and top of the line. It’s expensive, but you’re getting what you pay for. It’s the exact type of store I was looking for. I will definitely come back during sale season. Thanks Mike for being super kind and showing us around !

Very helpful staff, I called ahead to check if a particular stroller was in inventory because we were traveling and the airline damaged ours. Jessica helped identify a stroller that I could pick up and set it aside for me. When I arrived to pick it up, she even helped me carry it to the car parked on the opposite side of the street and took the broken stroller off my hands.

Huge home and baby store. We dropped in after my friend and I passed by and she wanted to check it out. They sell strollers, cribs, baby items, toys, decor, etc. I was keen on looking at all the soft toys. I am a huge Jellycat fan so these made me super happy. The staff seemed friendly and didn't bother us as we browsed.

Sean was incredibly helpful. He truly went above and beyond to try to help me find the product I needed for my stroller. For a busy mom of a school age child and twin babies, he was such a huge help!

I have mixed feelings about this store. Me and my three year old daughter love coming here and picking out toys. They're more expensive than amazon, but everyone is nice and it feels good to support local businesses and touch and feel the toys before we buy them.Recently my daughter had to pee and they wouldn't let us use the bathroom. We raced across the street but she peed her pants. I'm sure it's really hard running a retail store these days, but why does every other store in the mission let my daughter use their bathroom except the one explicitly for kids?

I am a SF resident and try to support our local businesses. We went to Aldea to help prepare for our first baby - and the team was very helpful to provide us advice and get us set up with a registry. But as soon as our orders were placed and our money was paid, the customer service quickly disappeared.Our crib order was several weeks late - and there was no communication about delays. We called to ask about status and were hung up on. We went to the store and they said the manufacturer had not shipped it yet. We called the manufacturer, and they indicated the crib had been shipping for several weeks.When I finally asked to cancel the order - the crib suddenly was due for delivery in 6 days, which is the time the manufacturer said it would be delivered from the time of order.I'm am willing to bet that Aldea is pocketing your money - and only ordering your registry items when you complain. I'm writing this in April 2023, after we placed an order in August 2022. Parts of our order have still not been fulfilled, and Aldea is not responding to my messages or calls for a refund. This is a cute store and they are initially helpful. But beware of ordering anything through them, and be especially wary of high-ticket items. I would not suggest you use them for a registry either.We have enough stress getting ready to be parents, we don't need a sketchy baby store operation adding to the stress.

Ok so this is pretty funny. After a great time having cocktails at Amado's bar down the street, I came in Aldea to do some holiday shopping. I found all these super cute gifts for almost everyone on my list. Then I started to notice...there's a lot of baby stuff in this store.... Y'all! I bought all my Christmas gifts for my childless friends at a BABY STORE!? I got the cutest David Bowie kitty tree ornament, a disco dance game, a cute panda pin, and more. Everyone loved my gifts!
