If you plan to buy fully paid membership with Alaskan lounge and may consider using while occasionally flying on non- one world airlines, think twice . The membership is useless..I purchased membership before they changed the rules and not able to use it at SFO. With Alaskan 100k, still not worth it. With Air Canada 50k, I am getting lounge access without extra cost. Food is also better in Air Canada SFO lounge..

The operations planner should be fired. You could charge first-class passengers an extra $30 for their tickets to allow them free access to the lounge, instead of making them pay extra to enter the lounge. Many companies will reimburse the cost of the ticket, but lounge fees come out of one’s own pocket. Not understanding this is simply incompetent.

Always a pleasant stop before flying. Choices seemed better today than before. There are lots of options, including fresh kale salad, soup, macaroni and cheese, snack mix, nuts, and sandwich makings.

The Alaska lounge in San Francisco is a cozy and comfortable space that offers a variety of amenities and local touches. The lounge is located in Terminal 2, opposite the security checkpoint, and is easy to find. The lounge has a modern design with a lot of wood and natural light, and a fire pit at the center that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating options are diverse and spacious, and most of them have power outlets. The lounge also features fine art curated by a San Francisco-based online design marketplace. The lounge has an espresso bar staffed by a trained barista, who can make you a delicious hot beverage of your choice. The lounge also has a full bar and a buffet with complimentary snacks, such as made-to-order pancakes, fresh salads, and various soups. The lounge also offers some locally sourced food and beverage items, such as sourdough toast, Bay Area wines and craft beers, and sweets by Ghirardelli, Jelly Belly, and the Oakland Fortune Cookie Factory. The food quality and variety are decent, but not exceptional. The lounge is accessible to Alaska Airlines first class passengers, Alaska Lounge and Alaska Lounge+ members, and Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members. Day passes can be purchased for $60. The lounge is a great addition to Alaska Airlines’ lounge network, and a nice place to relax and refresh before your flight. The lounge is also a good option for Priority Pass members, as it is much better than the main United Club in Terminal 3. The lounge staff are friendly and helpful, and the lounge is clean and well-maintained.Overall, I would rate the Alaska lounge in San Francisco 4 out of 5 stars. It is a pleasant and cozy lounge that offers a good range of amenities and local touches, but it could improve its food options and add some more hot dishes. The lounge is a good choice for Alaska Airlines and Oneworld passengers, as well as Priority Pass members, who are looking for a comfortable and quiet place to spend some time before their flight.

Very friendly, great meal, comfortable seats and located near our gate, what more can one ask for? And I love the steam fire place!

I tried to purchase a day pass as is allowed by their policy on their website. I wanted to use my AMEX airline credit so it was spent somehow before the new year and not only was I denied entrance but I was told “We don’t have any deals going on right now”. I didn’t even have the patience to argue I just wanted to leave because the person was so snobby i couldn’t imagine how the rest of the lounge inside was.

Poor food options and scuffed furniture. Service was good though!

I usually travel SAS so price wise it is twice the price of a top notch lounge in Europe. On the other hand it was the only buy-in lounge in Terminal 2 and perhaps one of the few in the US. And Sirena at the bar was kind and friendly And I could fill up on pulled pork and peanuts in a roomy private space for 3 hours as I waited for my flight. I live in the US so my hopes are low when travelling but there are plenty of countries where only the super rich can rest in a lounge. Not to thrilled with the Alaska experience but Delta would not even let me into their lounge.

Do not compare this lounge to the Asian airlines lounge in terms of dining. Simply it is a quiet rest for resting.

I’m always torn. Do we venture and try one of the airport’s eateries or do we head to the lounge for free grub and relaxation pre-flight?Our first class seats from SFO to OGG brought us here. This was my first time in an Alaska lounge.ATMOSPHERE:It’s quite spacious with excellent views of the tarmac. Beverage and food stations change with the meal of the day. Charging ports were lacking.BREAKFAST:Coffee was eh as I’m a Nespresso snob. The powdered scrambled eggs were sufficient as I absolutely love eggs for breakfast, but the star of the show was definitely the kielbasa-style maple sausage.SERVICE:Reception desk greeting was friendly. Bus staff promptly cleared tables.OVERALL:Not as fancy as the bigger airline lounges but I’m not complaining!

Alaska has always been a garbage airline, mismanagement starts with their corrupt CEO (sue me for defamation tough guy), and this lounge is just like the rest of their Inuit scam known as an airline. They are also known as the runt of the OneWorld program where their status is rarely recognized internationally because the rest of the world is onto the inferior scheme known as Alaska Airlines. Be warned, if you have a paid First Class ticket lounge access will not be granted unless flying over 2,100 miles, which shows they can't manage their load, which is a reflection of the frauds in the C suite. Avoid Alaska as their are more worthless than a woke dumpster fire.

Great lounge if you want quiet working areas with plenty of space—and American Club members can use Alaska Air’s lounge for free. Food is mediocre in offerings but the bartender runs an espresso machine—decent coffee pulls here. Bar is a decent size also. Downsides: many working areas don’t have chargers, but given that it’s never crowded, finding an outlet is usually easy.

This lounge was very disappointing. We have visited the Alaska lounge in SeaTac and this did not compare at all. It was not worth the $60 for a day pass, it would hardly be worth it for half that price. They only had a few lower shelf alcohol selections included, the rest were for "premium" purchase at $5-8/drink. The food selections were also very poor. The pros were that was a lot of space and the lounge was clean, though it could definitely use an upgrade.
