I cannot speak, officially, for this store. However, after many months of steady inventory decline, 6001 California Market has had its doors closed, for the last week. This was expected, among neighbors. The store has served the neighborhood well, for decades. Those of us who live in the area are hoping that this is a change of ownership ... perhaps a property update ... and, that the market will re-open to serve us, again.I wish all of the employees, who have become our friends over the years, a comfortable and prosperous future.

At 1:30 pm on October 6, the cashier counter staff refused to let me in to buy milk for my child without any reason or explanation. Apart from racial discrimination, I can't think of any reason to deny an Asian person entry to shop, because the young man at the counter didn't deny entry to others, nor did he speak so rudely.

Wow, what a terrible sandwich. I have gotten sandwiches there before that were decent, I guess is it new ownership?? I'm giving two stars because i hate giving one star and I suppose the bread wasn't stale and bad, sad to say wildlife ate much of it because our dog rejected the meat at bakers beach and the crows became interested, they are OK, I hope.Anyway, it was not a good sandwich.

I liked that there was chocolate from Europe, French fried plums etc. Nice selection of goods. Also things like high quality of sparkling healthy soda like Olipop soda.

We are on vacation here and needed a few things for our Airbnb spot. They barely have anything in the first place, and then we saw that half of what we bought was EXPIRED when we got home. So disappointed

This is a good neighborhood market located in the Inner Richmond District area of San Francisco California. It is very close to Sea-Cliff and China Beach and Baker Beach. It is close to Alamo School. It’s been there in the neighborhood a long time and has a decent selection of products. The prices are reasonable and about what you would expect to pay at any typical downtown San Francisco neighborhood market.

Been here many times over the years as it is convenient, however I have been less than impressed with their high prices and flippant attitude of some of their staff. Avoid going here unless you absolutely have to since it's clear they only want a certain clientle anyway.

This store caters to those who want to cook meals without having to queue. For such a low price, the quality of fresh produce is superb. There were no customers in the shop, and it was spotless. There's something for everyone at this place! It's highly recommended!

When Chico was the manager this was a much much better market..After the owner fired him because some bougeois customer bad mouthed him he kinda went down hill, particularly the deli, while the prices went up hill. If the owner wasnt such a nimrod this would be a better store. As far as customer base...once the pandemic comes to an end, it will return to having no customers. I am just curious what other illicit business goes on in that store because I cant imagine they have more than 30 customers a day who spend $20 to $30 smackaroonies....how would that cover rent, salaries, electric/other overhead and possibly make the store profitable? In any case, you can do much better at some stores down on clement..I suggest you explore and youll come across some real gems. I am not here to advertise or vouch for any market. Just pointing out that you can do much much better elsewhere
