stayed here for a work trip and it's an excellent choice located in fidi. the room was large and clean upon check in. the restroom does come with a scale which is something not common but very cool haha. i can't really comment on the gym as it was under renovations so they had a temporary gym located in one of their meeting rooms which was quite small. would highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay somewhere around fidi! definitely bookmarked for any future visits.

I've stayed here twice in the past few months and really enjoyed it. Great location, short walk to Chinatown and accessible to public transportation. Every employee I encountered was pleasant, and they even let me check in early at 11am. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I'll probably only stay here whenever I'm in the city.

I've stayed at the Le Meridian twice in the last month while attending Giants baseball games with my husband. I'm Bonvoy Titanium and used a suite night certificate each time and was treated to the City Suite with a balcony. It's a beautiful room with stunning views of the city. Very few hotels offer balcony rooms. As my welcome amenity we chose the Continental breakfast that includes made to order bagels, danishes, fruit and yogurt. The staff in the restaurant are very nice and attentive. The staff at checkin are always prompt and pleasant. This hotel is conveniently located near Chinatown where delicious dim sum awaits. North Beach is a short walk.

Being out of town it is truly hard finding a good hotel with parking and a bit safe. After hours of driving around we cancelled our reservation at courtyard marriott near van ness ave due to a guy doing drugs out in the open inside the garage parking. We called Le Meridien and oh my god! Best Service! Great location! Safe all around! We were greeted by Agnes and Chris and they provided Spectacular service! I must say they meet MARRIOTT standards. from greeting us, directing us to some of the safest parking, holding our doors, giving us a great room with a breath taking view.... I was not dissappointed once! Peter who brought us our kettle to our room also kept this experience great. He brought popcorn to our kids and drinks for us and some tea. It was nice have this sort of CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE because it is very rare now a days.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Staff is amazing, hotelis clean & besides starbucks being across the street the VIEW is incredible!

Stayed at this hotel for a week for my company in office week! When you walk in, it's elegant with welcoming service staff and luxurious fromFrench influence. The only issue was that the front desk couldn't take the payment that I had reserved a month before... I didn't have this issue with my last hotel, so it was a hassle in working with the travel agency, my company and the hotel to resolve this issue. Nonetheless, it was resolved. The room is super clean with 4 pillow and a thick a blanket. The view of the room was spectacular with a view of the city and city streets below. The bathroom was immaculate with many towels for usage and complimentary soaps for use. The lighting inside the room is sufficient since they're placed all over the room, but I would prefer a light on the ceiling rather than walking to a lamp stand or lamp on a desk. Another issue that I faced was with the side outlets; I would charge my iPhone but it wouldn't charge but stayed at a certain percentage. Yet, I slept well throughout the stay, so this venue is safe and comforting for people visiting out of the city. All in all, a great hotel to rest, relax, and explore the city since it's an ideal spot in the financial district.

It's hard to believe that this was once a Park Hyatt, or was it? San Francisco is certainly lacking in luxury hotels; think The Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental for examples. I read somewhere in the description that this Le Meridien is a luxury hotel, perhaps that was true in 2006 when it was still under Starwood management but certainly not with Marriott. Location: within the quiet and relaxed Financial District, minutes away from Montgomery and Embarcadero (Bart & Muni) stations, close proximity to Chinatown and walking distance to Union Square.Hotel: this is a Marriott affiliated/managed property. Cash and redemption rates are decent. Check In: quite standard with acknowledgment of Bonvoy status, but no mention of an upgrade (when applicable) nor amenity (in this case points). Bottled water was not provided at check in but 1 bottle was readily available in room. The process was quick and seamless, but that was pretty much it. The Room: just over 400 square feet with a grey and red color palette. The carpeting itself does look a bit worn and dated; perhaps a lighter color will give the room more (shall we say ummmp?) refreshing. The lightly grained wood paneling that extends from the front entry way and the closet looks like it may have been part of the Park Hyatt days (I'll leave that as an assumption). The bathroom definitely needs an update; with the sheer amount of space, a refresh could easily have a more modern single vanity, water closet, separate shower stall, and new true soaker tub. The furniture seems to be in great shape actually, with the night stands providing the most requested feature; built in USB and power outlets. But, 100% the room(s) and the overall hotel need a major overhaul as it's been 16 years since the last renovation. On the flip side, the room itself was superbly clean and the bed very comfortable. Bathe Amenity: as Marriott is the worlds largest hotel conglomerate, it is without question that each individual hotel brand will feature a unique brand of in bathroom toiletries. New York based Malin+Goetz provides travel sized toiletries for Le Meridien. I first came to know of this brand through Delta Airline's airport lounges, which also utilize this particular brand. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, and body lotion all have their own individual scent and work harmoniously together as a collective. I love hotel toiletries. What I Had To Ask For: well, given that this isn't a 5 star hotel, but even most 4 star hotels will have most in room items readily (well in room). The room itself did not have a safe (that I can overlook, as I had no valuables to put away), robes, slippers, dental kits, and coffee machine/kettle. What the room did have was an ice bucket, 1 bottled water (complimentary), drinking glasses, extra duvet in the closet, iron, ironing board, and empty fridge. Final Thoughts: my overall impression of the hotel is that; a reminder of hotels in Paris (even French music is played throughout the lobby and in the elevators) due to the dated look of the rooms. Comfort and the cleanliness of the room was on point. But, I don't consider this a luxury brand or property on its own. I think this hotel is due for a renovation.

So far our stay has been great! The view is beautiful, room is spacious and staff are all so kind and helpful! The location is central to so much! We're just a hop away from north beach, union square, fishermens warf...I mean what more can you ask for! Now when we got to the room, the seal on the body wash was broken so that was a bit concerning...but we didn't care too much. My biggest qualm is the paper THIN walls. We literally hear our neighbors talking, laughing incredibly loud, they literally woke us up this morning. I didn't want to wake up early, but here I am. Lol. Anyways, just based off the location of this hotel, I'd stay here again :).

Room 1819 suite Has a wonderful view of the Bay and the bay bridge and the salesforce tower. Check in was seamless and I would say the only problem is that they don't have valet parking. I also wasn't pleased when I ordered room service and it came to $29 for fries and lava cake and they forgot to bring the ice cream. I appreciate that it's a dog friendly hotel and they don't charge extra!
