Westin and the crew are awesome. I saw them out on a run and was able to put eyes on the Mesa roof rack these dudes were running on their broncos. I just so happened to be in the process of trying to choose a rack for my Tacoma actually at this time. I really liked what I saw with the Mesa. It is aluminum unlike some other racks but the benefit I saw is that it is much lighter weight. Which is important to me with all the weight I have been adding to my rig. And this rack is definitely strong and sturdy. Maybe stronger and sturdier than some of the competitors. And still lighter. Boom. The slotted rails are legit. Accessorizing is a breeze. Double track lighting option is dope too. Yep I bought the Mesa for sure. Love it. Seems Westin is stepping up their game for the legit offroad scene. Stepping up the game. Keep it up Westin.

Had an issue with the Traxx 5 Nerf step sides with the powder coating failing in one spot. Despite the ‘ghosting’ I received from the Customer Service Manager I did receive replacement Nerf step bars. A shout out to Jason, west coast sales manager, for stepping in and resolving my issue. Decided to go with the stainless steel this time because I live in the rust belt.

I thought Westin was a reputable company with good quality products, but had a terrible experience. I purchased their Outlaw drop nerf step bar for my truck and was not able to install due to missing mounting holes/brackets for the bolts on one of the steps. Customer service was really slow to respond (the week leading up to Christmas). I had to get the steps shipped back to Westin before they would send out a replacement step. The whole process took 2.5 weeks, probably more like 2 weeks had Christmas not been mixed in there.

Ordered and installed the Outlaw bumpers (front and rear), LED fog lamps, skid plate, and license plate mounts thinking I had done business with a reputable company. I was mistaken. Quality control was awful, useless instructions were included, and the engineering/design was what I would expect from an apprentice forced to work under duress on a Saturday.

An order was placed through Auto Zone on March 27, a confirmation email was sent quickly that our order would be on it's way, on March 29, another email arrived, this time it stated our order was canceled, no reason given. We have gone around and around with Westin and Auto Zone to have this sale honored because the part was not out of stock, it never was, in fact, we now have an email from Auto Zone stating that Westin did in fact cancel the order. It seems Westin did not want to honor the price of $279.99, instead, they jacked the price up by $123.00. This is a horrible way to do business, I am filing a complaint with the FTC.

I want to thank Ray for the excellent customer service he provided. I needed information on some spindle bearings for a Jeep bumper with tire carrier that I needed to replace. Ray let me know the part number I needed but then said he would send me the replacement bearing kit free of charge. I told him I wasn’t submitting some kind of warranty claim but he said he was happy to do it as a one time courtesy. Really appreciate the willingness to help out!

Terrible quality and customer service. My rock rails have started rusting in multiple places and I called 3 years and 69 days after I ordered them from extreme terrain. Customer service said they are outside the 3 year warranty and “there is nothing we can do.”Of course, rust doesn’t start overnight and anyone with an ounce of sense and desire to maintain a customer relationship wouldn’t respond the way Westin did. They chose not to be reasonable and flexible, and this will be the ast time I buy a low quality item from Westin. I guess that’s why my jeep shop doesn’t recommend them.

Worst customer service, and from reading other reviews and not seeing a single response, it doesn't seem they care.The HDX Extreme Nerf Bars I bought had one incorrect step in the box. I emailed them to find a resolution and they basically said take it somewhere and exchange it. When I asked for a dealer recommendation as the steps were purchased out of town they said "we don't show any in the area" and offered no other solution, even when I asked for them to ship a replacement.

I don't normally write many reviews unless I get exceptionally bad or exceptionally good service and/or products from a company and want others to know those experiences from my perspective. My wife had just bought a Toyota 4Runner and was excited to replace the old step-ups with some black ones so I told her to look at realtruck.com's website and she did. RealTruck was great, no issues with them whatsoever, they even took some off of the price for contacting them directly which was nice. The problem began when we got the step-ups which were fine, but the Westin installation kit of bolts, washers, nuts and mounting brackets came with just the mounting brackets and nothing else. Also, keep in mind that we could tell this box was a return due to peeling back the new label and seeing a return label underneath. The worst part was the prior customer who returned this box had used hair ties (no kidding) to bind the brackets together and the brackets had some scratches and dings on them as well. Obviously, quality control isn't a big deal to the fine folks at Westin from reading other reviews of them on Yelp due to them not sending new parts and following up by not putting any of the other installation parts in the box. Now for the really fun part. It took them over two weeks to send a simple bag of nuts, bolts and washers to my home and the real kicker is that the very nice lady at RealTruck contacted them multiple times and told them to ship a brand new kit, which they didn't do in any way, shape or form. The bolts were different lengths, and some of the locking nuts weren't even the same ones from piece to piece like they had just pillaged through a bin to find parts for the kit. I would not recommend Westin to others, even though I have heard their name in the automotive arena for years now. It's honestly sad that a company like RealTruck does a good job of trying to helps its customers and Westin doesn't hold up their end to fix issues that were avoidable in the first place. Poor customer service and very poor turnaround in shipping simple parts, not to mention used parts, that they screwed up in the first place. **Update: So I start working on the installation and everything goes swimmingly until I get to the locking nuts that Westin sent for the boards to attach to the brackets. They weren't even close to being the right thread for the supplied bolts. Will definitely not buy anymore products that have anything to do with Westin Automotive. Now going on three weeks that I haven't been able to install these running boards. Terrible experience!
