"I recently had a disappointing experience at this shop. Despite calling ahead to confirm availability and timelines, I encountered significant delays and issues with their service. While the tanks were ready when promised, the gear service took much longer than anticipated, with multiple changes to the estimated completion date. (It took 6 weeks)
Additionally, I was charged $20 for a tank refill after the service, which I found unexpected. Upon receiving my gear, I discovered a faulty first-stage regulator and a damaged hose. While the shop offered to repair it, the inconvenience and additional wait time were frustrating.
Given the delays, unexpected charges, and quality issues, I would recommend exploring other options for scuba gear service." I opened up 5he 1st stage because now I didn't trust anything they did and found dust and hairs inside posted photos

Just had an amazing experience at Sharky's. Wonderful people, wonderful service and now I have an amazing local dive shop I can go to. If you are in the sgv or ie and need to speak with knowledgeable friendly people about your next dive trip. Do not hesitate to visit Sharky's.

Update on my previous review. I erroneously indicated in my last review that an employee had overfilled my steel tank. It turned out that this bottle was not a steel but in fact an aluminum. I had this bottle mixed up with another bottle I once had and didn't realize it was no longer in my inventory. But needless to say, the employee did his job correctly and it was my assumption that was wrong. I had previously given Sharky's a 4 out 5 stars for great customer service and now raise it an additional star for being gracious about the way they brought up the discrepancy. E.M

I am visiting from New England and struggled to find a dive center that I felt comfortable with. I contacted many shops via email with no response. I drove to visit a few that turned me off from pricing to attitude. Just out of luck on my last two weeks here I found Sharky's. I am an SSI instructor and I am a bit picky. I like a true mom and pop shop that caters to the diver on a personal level. I found all of that as well as true professionalism at Sharky's. From now on on my bi annul visits to West Covina Sharky's will be the only dive center I will use. Thanks Sharky's for making my visit more fun!

This shop is great. I've been coming here religiously for about a year now to get all my gear. Craig is an awesome guy and he has awesome staff. I've only been diving for about 3 years and Craig has been a huge help. He is very knowledgeable with every item that is in his shop and I've never left the shop without learning something new. I just got my sister certified through them and she had an absolute blast last weekend finishing her last dive at Catalina! I can't wait to try out my new Aqua Lung i770 computer that I just picked up the other day. Highly recommend coming here for your personal gear!

Great team, always helpful and very knowledgeable. Purchased a dry suit and plenty of halcyon gear, regs etc. Perfect place for beginners all the way to Tec / advanced divers. I have to drive a bit out of my way, I live in hacienda Heights, but well worth it.

Sharky's Scuba Dive Center lacks the pretentious attitude that some shops have and makes everyone feel welcome and excited to participate in the sport of scuba diving. This culture is embodied by an excellent and knowledgeable staff including (but not limited too) Zac, Jason, Josh and Cullen.

After a coworker convinced me to start scuba diving again after about 20 years, I essentially had to start over. I'm glad that he did and that he convinced me to go to "his" dive shop. As soon as I entered I felt that the shop and the staff was very welcoming, not high pressure sales tactics or trying to convince me that I needed to buy the biggest and baddest of everything. Quite frankly, it was the opposite, I wanted the biggest and baddest because that's how I am. However, the owner, Craig, convinced me that based on my new skills, all of that other stuff was overkill and there was no point in spending that kind of money until I knew I was completely addicted to it and wanted to further my education and my dive skills. I wasn't able to do as much as I wanted to because of Covid but every time I was in the shop it was clean and you could see them wiping things down with disinfectant as well as wearing masks. I hope when this is over I can spend more time and unfortunately money in the dive shop so that I can reach my goal of becoming a master diver.

I LOVE Sharky's! It was always one of my dreams to get scuba certified, and I decided to finally pull the trigger! I contacted a few local dive shops and Sharky's has the best rates, customer service, and all-around diving knowledge. They were quick to answer all of my initial questions via email. I was a bit nervous to begin the process because of COVID, but everyone at Sharky's took the necessary and proper precautions to create a safe environment. My instructor John was awesome! He made me feel comfortable and confident. Overall my experience here was flawless and I feel like I made some new dive friends which is the most exiting part!
