Unprofessional staff, and it makes me sad because I really enjoy taking my dog to Petco. I called to schedule a grooming appt for my dog on Monday. I have to call because that's the only way I'm able to book a VIP service so that my dog doesn't have to be in the kennel for long hours. The only available appt they had was for Friday at 2:15pm so I went ahead and booked. On the thursday before I was sent a confirmation text saying "we're excited to see you and Penelope tmrw at 2:15pm" and then today (Friday) I received a similar text at 9:32am saying "looking forward to seeing you today". I then get a call at 11:58pm from a lead saying that my groomer Alicia does not feel comfortable grooming my pet because of the notes that she read. My dog is kennel shy (which is why I book the vip treatment) and she has a hard time with men (bit a male Petco employee that was trying to pet her during her groom and did not read her notes). The lead then told me that I should return to montebello to get my dog groomed, when I told her we moved that's why I made the appointment here she just kept stating that I should take her back to montebello. My issue is that I was notified of this cancellation literally 2 hours before my appointment. Even after I received several confirmation texts prior to that. Very unprofessional. Alicia should have read the notes on my dog earlier in the week. She also shouldn't have sent 2 confirmation texts especially not the day of. I left a voicemail to the other lead since the current lead I spoke with told me to take my dog back to montebello even after explaining to her that we moved. I'm hoping just receive a reply and some form of reconciliation. Update: Jose and Barbara were super helpful and understanding!

Employees are nice, a bit understaffed so you might have to search for someone if you need assistance. Petco in general is a bit overpriced, but they have a wide range of stock for different kinds of pets. I seem to always get lost in the cat section and walk right by the thing I'm looking for, the aisles are kinda narrow and not great for browsing.

Booked an appointment for grooming and the old lady there that she couldn't take my little dog bc it bit her. Lol, she didn't even bite her at all because my dog doesn't bite. She was just avoiding her negative energy. The way she approaches dogs is weird. That's why the dogs get scared and anxious. Instead of just taking it, she stares and acts weird out around it. That gives anxiety to dogs when you're not calm and relaxed. This is a little yorkie, so when you have bad vibes approach, of course they feel that. Nobody was there when I came in and it was raining. That lady was probably just too lazy to do it and just wanted to relax. She immediately told me to go somewhere else as she was not taking her. When I gave her the records (before she even said, she wasnt taking her in), she was also saying that rabbies shot was expired when it actually says on the paper that it expires 2025 ?♀️?♀️ I told her, you can call the doctor yourself and actually find out, but no, they will let clients call for them. Ughh hello, customer service, where are you?! A simple call won't hurt. That alone proves that she just doesn't want to work and that she's just too lazy to work, im like "comeee onnnn my yorkie probably has more complete shot records and doctor checkups than that representative." Until I pointed out that the expiration is not until next year and that she was looking at the visit date on the document.?♀️ that lady doesn't know what she's doing for sure and definitely needs more training. This is my first visit and first try of Petco's grooming, and it's very unprofessional and wasted my time and gas going there. I was expecting a better experience since this is Petco!

Our dog is very finicky when it comes to tooth paste. We bought it on the spot and returned it immediately after she didn't like it in the parking lot. Petco was very understanding and NO hassles returning the item.

The vaccine clinic I had a appointment there and I got checked in on tie had to wait half hour few animals ahead of me the girls there were really rude and Said I WAS A BAD PET PARENT refused to give my dog her rabies shot I left there went to humane society and was 40. Bucks cheaper I will never go there again

Cashier was friendly and struck up a conversation with ease. Assisted us in applying a coupon that i didn't even know i had. Very pleasant experience.

Easy to shop, clean store. Employees are friendly. However I would suggest to anyone shopping in store to PLEASE visit their website prior to visit. We shopped in person and items were regular prices. I went home to compare prices and I saw their website was more than half off of the items I just purchased for buy online pick up in store! Save some money

I normally place my order on the app and pop in to pick up my order, they also offer curbside, but I like to come in and browse a little too. Today I came in to purchase cat food for my son's cat and Jose helped me out. He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond by calling other locations to, see if they had the product that I needed which this location was out of at the time. He was polite, friendly, and exemplified good customer service. He was able to find a nearby location that carried the food I needed, and I left a happy camper despite them not having what I needed. This is how customer service is done. As a sidenote, you usually get 10% off if you place your order in advance so that's enough to keep me a loyal customer, I love Petco and I love this location even more.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at this groomer. I brought my dog in for a grooming session, only to be told to return home and brush him myself, even though his mats were minimal. I expected professional service and was willing to pay for it, but their rude and lazy attitude left me thoroughly unsatisfied.
