ipetgrooming
105 W Arrow Hwy unit 2, San DimasI called to ask about pricing since my 7mo old BerneDoodle needed the hair around her eyes trimmed. Since I whacked them myself and totally messed up The woman on the phone was so sweet and told me to bring her in today to take a look. Once there, she trimmed her eyes and around her bum and when I pulled out my card to pay, she said "no charge" wow! I was so thankful and will definitely come back. She did such a good job.

Via Verde Animal Hospital
1138 Via Verde Ave, San DimasWe love this place! My dog suffers from lots of anxiety from having gotten hit by a car many years ago. He ended up needing emergency surgery at another vet. He developed ptsd and learned/ memorized the road that leads to that vets office, so whenever we'd take him for vaccines or anything he needed he'd be so scared that his acepromazine sedation wouldn't work. Every single time we'd end up having to pay for a shot of extra sedation! My husband and I decided that we had to switch vets just to see if that would help him & so we ended up at Via Verde Animal Hospital. The staff and doctors are amazing! Somehow Osito is much more calm than at his other vets office. He's still snappy but he's much more manageable and allows them to take care of him with just his regular prescription sedative. I'm absolutely shocked! I too also had developed anxiety when we'd go to the vet bc of how anxious and scared he would get.. but not anymore! He wags his tail for the staff and doctors and is slowly learning they're friends. Recently my pup had bladder stone surgery and a teeth cleaning all under anesthesia and at the same time at Via Verde Animal Hospital. They did such a good job! During our 2 week follow up to remove staples and sutures I had some concerns bc his stomach was upset and he would vomit. They took a free of charge xray and examined him just to make sure he was fine. (They truly care) They reassured me after his xray that everything looked good and showed me the xray results as well. They felt confidant that the antibiotics most likely irritated his stomach and gave me medicine for him. A week later Osito is all better! Thank you guys for taking such good care of my little guy. Dr. Kumar is the best Vet I've ever met. He's very knowledgeable and doesn't try to suggest unnecessary exams. We will not go anywhere else! I 1,000% recommend Via Verde Animal hospital for all your pets needs from vaccines, surgery and teeth cleaning. Not to mention they use a special laser that promotes faster healing with all their surgery's and even with the teeth cleanings. My little guy gradually was back in action from his big surgery within a few days. Thank you guys! Also special shout out to Myra she gets stuck holding Osito a lot of the times bc he's so anxious. The care is genuine here. You guys have a heart of Gold and it shows From the receptionist, techs and Doctors.

Rail Side Cafe
322 S San Dimas Ave, San DimasThis is my favorite local cafe to escape to. Nestled near the railroad tracks in old town San Dimas, I feel like I'm transported to a little Parisian sidewalk cafe each time I visit. Happy yellow umbrellas highlight the black iron tables spread amongst the patio. Games like Connect 4 and jenga are available to keep the kids of all ages busy. California Pepper Trees provide beauty and shade, and the soft music coming from the cafe really adds to the peaceful ambiance. This is my favorite place to grab breakfast or brunch and read under the trees. In addition to the fabulous atmosphere, the food is excellent. Today, I had a Nutty Berlin bagel with a fruit bowl, fresh OJ, and a decaf vanilla latte. I usually get one of the savory breakfast croissants or a panini. The orange juice is always fresh squeezed and self-serve in a vintage red mini fridge. I have yet to taste a sour glass. The bagel was perfect with creamy peanut butter topped with fresh strawberries and just a kiss of powdered sugar. The fruit bowl is always refreshing with berries, oranges, and crisp cucumbers. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This is the kind of place that I love so much, but I almost don't want to tell anyone about it because then they'll know where I go when I just need a break. Lol. It's my happy little retreat.

Butter Cafe & Bakery
671 E Bonita Ave STE F, San DimasI just wanted the people at Butter Cafe and Bakery to know that my husband said that his breakfast burrito was the best he's ever had. He talked about it for several days, and told everyone he came in contact with that it was great and "very compact -- there were no air pockets in it." This is very important, apparently. In any case, the breakfast burrito looked great on his plate, but I never got to taste it because he devoured it. Avocado toast was what I ordered, and it, too, was delicious. The toast part was unique. It's challah bread dipped in custard, so basically a piece of French toast. On top is mashed avocado, eggs, arugula and a lemon vinaigrette. You get a choice of side (fruit, tots or home fries), and I got the home fries and they were amazing. Honestly, these fried potatoes were the best part of an already excellent meal. The home fries were perfectly fried, with mealy centers. I'm still thinking about these potatoes. My children shared a kids' pancake breakfast. The kids' pancake breakfast plate is big, even though it's meant for one child. It's three small pancakes, two scrambled eggs and two pieces of bacon or sausage. My oldest child said that his pancake was his favorite thing that he ate while we visited the area, so there you go. Also, FYI: The kids' pancake breakfast is the only kid-related thing on the menu. They have no other kid things. I even tried to order a kid-sized burger, and they told me they don't do that. We were initially a little put off because the prices were a little high. But after eating here, I know why they price the way they do. It's because their food is amazing and worth it.
