Gosh I miss this place and so glad it is still in business. I used to go there sometimes twice a day in the morning and the evening classes. They taught me handstands so fast which I thought I could never do. And by not teaching but allowing you to figure it out with proper guidance at your own pace. Worked for me.Adore this studio, loved the instructors and would recommend to not judge it (by looks) until u try it. I think their original/unpolished/ not upgraded interior is what separates them from other places, I would always return to them.* Vinyasa 1 & 2 I liked* And could never do the “restorative” class again, it was too peaceful/chill for me?Super duper yoga one I’m grateful for u guys, keep flourishing and nourishing the downtown of San Diego!☀️

The perfect neighborhood yoga studio. Yoga One really stands out because of its inclusive vibe. I love that the students and teachers are always *real* people, not just perfectly chiseled bodies in matched sets. It's welcoming for everyone — from seniors, to pregnant people, complete beginners or advanced yogis. The instructors know their stuff and radiate positivity, and it’s a place where everyone can feel comfortable and included.

I take the online classes with Missy and it’s been incredible! I’ve watched tons of teachers on YouTube but being in an actual class had a big impact on me, I just love it. Her teaching style is perfect, the tranquility and peace that comes through is absolutely amazing, she transitions beautifully between quiet somber moments to lighthearted fun so it’s just perfect for me! Try it out you won’t be disappointed!

The husband and wife owners and teachers at Yoga One set a bad example of leading their classes like they are trying to create their classes into "Yoga Comedy Central" with non stop cracking jokes; which is really not funny in what is supposed to be a yoga class, and it is not yoga.

Such a beautiful studio and such a beautiful community of kind-hearted people! I travelled overseas to do my YTT with them and I’m so grateful I did. They’re unbelievably wise, encouraging, and inspiring. Can’t recommend Yoga One enough!

The qualities of kindness, connection, listening, safety, and play are embodied and expressed by the professional studio owners and teachers Michael and Amy Caldwell. This Yoga Studio sits in a beautiful setting, where you practice the benefits of yoga with skilled, kind instructors. I started attending online classes with Yoga One at the start of the pandemic, and there's no looking back! The classes are fun, energizing, relaxing, and inclusive for Yogis of all experience. The experience and instructors have helped my physical and mental health so much & I look forward to attending each class. Shout outs to Jackie and Nicole! They make my Mondays and Wednesdays so much better :)

The Yoga One studio in Mission Hills is a very special place. Without a doubt, after my first outdoor class in Presidio park with Amy I knew this would be my studio in San Diego. I always feel like myself while practicing in this space... this is because I feel a comfort level which enables me to freely be myself. This is not like other studios I have visited. I first purchased a new student 1 month unlimited pass, with which I attended many classes and found my favs. Next, when the team offered a deal on the 1 year membership I decided to go all in and commit to self love by signing up. Sometimes it's hard to wake up early, especially on a work day, but I never regret an early class with Jackie or Michael. And though when I started practicing here I thought yoga always had to 'physically challenge' me... I found that my favorite class is Gentle on Saturday's with Missy. To close, I offer some (possibly paraphrased) yoga teacher quotes: "I love teaching in a treehouse." "Next, let's do the ottoman pose." "Now, sway like a tree in a hurricane!" "Dance like no one is watching! Let yourself go and have fun!" "Okay, now that we're in plank let's go around the room and all share something that we're doing this weekend." "The light in me sees and honors the light in you.. namaste "

As a 20-year devotee of a not-far-away fitness community, I was able to continue with my fave cardio/strength trainer. Lucky, she's been zooming classes these many pandemic months (more than 1.5 years at this point). But yoga? Until a new studio opened in the neighborhood, i was exploring one, then another online teacher---most were fine and i was grateful for their 24/7 presences. Missing however, was the positive energy from other practitioners along with the support, structure, and feedback of knowledgable yogis. In short, i was craving a quality studio experience. A friend enthusiastically introduced me to Yoga One, and after the first class, i knew i'd found my place. In the past few months, i've taken class with most of the teachers---primarily in-studio, but also in nearby Presidio Park, and via zoom, should studio capacity be reached, or for any other reason that keeps me from joining in 3D. But wait, there's more! One of the most gratifying aspects of getting to know (especially) Amy, Michael & Missy (owners/manager) is their appreciation of feedback. And let me not fail to mention: The canyon-edge studio is a beautiful open space, & ever evolving, including technology upgrades, graceful greenery, artful affirmations, & marvelous music. All contribute to making this a welcoming home for a deeply satisfying practice.

Connecting with Yoga One has been one of the most unexpectedly amazing events of my life! In July 2020 I signed up for their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training without really any prior experience with them. I was interested in deepening my own personal practice and teaching virtually during COVID, and the dates/prices matched up with what I was looking for. Every day during the 2.5 week intensive training we met outside at a park and dove into the complexities of posture alignment, teaching methodologies, yogic philosophy, meditation, and so much more. I loved the community my cohort formed together and we were challenged and supported in equal measure. Amy & Michael, the owners and lead teacher trainers at Yoga One, are some of the kindest, most genuinely giving people I have ever met. They have so much knowledge to share and are always down to just chat about life. I'm now on my way to opening my own yoga business and am continuing my education with Yoga One's 300-hour training this March. I love the variety of their online classes as well and the different energy each teacher brings. From restorative yoga to vinyasa, I always feel like I'm learning something new and engaging both my mind and body during class. Plus as a woman, Black, and family-owned business, Yoga One is the type of welcoming, inclusive studio I want to support with my money!

YogaOne has to be one of the biggest blessings of this pandemic. I am so grateful that I connected with Michael and Amy, who I can say do an amazing job cultivating community from afar and hiring amazing teachers that make you feel as close to everyone as possible. It helps a lonely soul to see familiar faces load up on the zoom and move our bodies together! I have to give special shoutout to Zaquia who has started to include music in their classes and last night did a heart opener/hip flow that got me, as the kids say, IN MY FEELINGs in the best way possible. Jeffery does amazing classes outside and can really help you feel the burn and challenge while all making it look so beautiful and easy! I am very very grateful for the people that make YogaOne so special, and I would highly recommend them for ANYONE at this time looking for more grounding and inner breath peace. Thank you!!
