2 month ago, I bought a leaking grass feed milk, the next day ! I went back to store hoping to exchange it. the customer service young woman with a very mean manner ask for receipt, I said I did not keep it, she said with a very Impatient Voice said that “you must find it”, I am a dressed down Asian old female, I like that way, whole food had very helpful service employees, I am quite sure, they have way to help customers who lost receipt. Not too many store sell those milk with the same exp date on their current shelf.

In comparison to other WF, this place seems to be resting on the brands laurels. It’s in a nice neighborhood and provides a great selection of products, but they’re slipping on the details. They have a bar that serves beer and wine, but the bartender was “on break” for 30 minutes during the 5 pm hour…The bar was messy and appeared dirty. TV displays that have the menu was broken and flickering, half of the other TVs were turned off. Other employees in near by areas didn’t care, just said he’ll probably be back in 20 minutes.Bathrooms were funky, old decaying mirrors… again it just seems like the staff doesn’t care about the details.…maybe a result of lack of competition or lack of company culture- kinda sucks :(

Every couple of years I take an early morning walk and stop by here for coffee and a pastry. After all, they have a great sitting and eating space. And each time I am shocked by how disdainful and avoidant the vibe is here, and remember why this place never becomes part of my morning rituals.

It's easy to hate on WF but you do get what you pay for. I like the large drink selection that you can't get at the other super markets. The fruit and veggies are also good. Most of the people I know just come here for the salad bar. Its pretty exclusive so I took off some stars.

The store is OK but the parking lot is bizarre. It took us half an hour to get out of there

please Stop supporting $12.99 per lb for packaged meals. you can eat freshly cooked meals to order and much bigger portions in a gourmet restaurants near by!. Example : Small portion of white rice here cost a little over $6 dollars at Whole Foods while it’s a little over $2 at Japanese restaurant next door.Another example: Meals at Cava cost 1/2 price of what you pay at whole foods market for the same portion and in the same shopping center. The right thing is to Stop supporting expensive and packaged meal as we have other choices!. Whole Foods meal should never compete with restaurant meal. No match!. Thank you

I frequently go to this grocery store as it is my favorite. However, I had a bad experience this morning at LAJ 1006. I scanned my Prime code as usual and then asked the lady at the checkout to process my payment through my card linked to the system. The lady, however, reacted with impatience and disavowed any knowledge of the payment procedure. Eventually, I decided to pay using my Whole Foods barcode. Unfortunately, the cashier was still unaware of the payment process. When I explained my intent to pay my bill, she informed me of the necessity to specify my intention to make the payment to proceed with the process. As a frequent user of the in-store payment method, I found her response surprising and disheartening.I hold the opinion that customer service representatives should exhibit patience and helpfulness, even in instances where they are not conversant with a particular payment method. It is unfair to treat customers poorly in such situations.

I had without question, the worst experience in a grocery store in my entire life on June 27th 2023.On that afternoon I was subjected an employee at the self-checkout watching and standing within 4 or 5 feet of me as i rang up my items. I had noticed him staring the moment I pushed my cart to up the checkout. I kept looking at him as he focused only on me and not anyone else. He even inched closer as I was ringing up the items. The situation was extremely unnerving and I rushed to get out of there. I dropped my phone on the floor as a result. When I was finished, but still at the checkout loading groceries into bags, the man opened the machine and pulled the transaction receipt. I asked if there was a problem but he did not respond. Thinking everything was fine, I pushed my cart out the door. At that point, the man yelled for me to come back and he brought security with him. I calmly walked back into the store but all eyes in the vicinity were on me.We went through my bags and the man said the mushrooms, soap bar, and bagel did not ring up. I told the man I was rushing and apparently did not notice. I also told him he could have simply told me this when he was looking over my shoulder.I promptly paid for the items however, as I attempted to leave, the man stopped me once more and said I did not pay for the bag of almonds. Once again, we went through the receipts and he discovered that the almonds were indeed paid for. I asked the man if there was anything else. He said no and I left the store. It is a terrible feeling to be treated like a criminal and have a store full of people watch. It is even worse when you are African-American and have battled things like this in the past. Because of this, I truly dislike making things about race but it is difficult when there are obvious profiling behaviors exhibited by employees.I have since made several calls to the Whole Foods Corporate Office and each time I was told "we are investigating and someone will call you in a few days". As of this writing, NO ONE has seen fit to contact me. My wife also left a review two weeks ago about this incident and she too was given the same rhetoric. Nothing has happened.I will continue to make attempts to speak to someone from the La Jolla store or corporate office. As time goes on, I am left to wonder If Whole Foods only cares about a certain type of customer.

Got here through a tough drive in the rain on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm and it was temporarily closed, for no reason. They don’t let people in but shoppers already in can still shop. Nothing else just disappointment.

You get almost all kinds of groceries here. The staff are helpful. You can also view and get items from Amazon prime.

I am leaving this review after the treatment of my husband during his visit at the La Jolla Whole Foods on June 27, 2023. If I could leave a negative star rating, I would. On June 27, my husband stopped quickly at the La Jolla Whole Foods immediately after a VA doctor's appointment. My husband is a Navy combat veteran. He was rushed and trying to get through as quickly as possible. As a side note, my husband is also African American. When my husband approached the self-checkout registers, the employee who covers that area approached him. The employee proceeded to stand directly behind my husband, watching every item he was scanning. The proximity of this employee was highly uncomfortable for my husband. At one point my husband dropped his phone on the floor as he was distracted by the employee's presence. He finished his transaction of approximately 15 items and paid. As he bagged his groceries at the side of the register, my husband observed the same employee printing out a duplicate transaction receipt from the register my husband was still at. My husband exited the store. As he walked away, the employee shouted out to my husband to stop and promptly sent security out to escort my husband back into the building. The shoppers in the area all turned to see the commotion. It turns out that my husband had missed scanning two items in his order and promptly paid for the missed items. He mentioned he was unnerved by the employee's scrutiny and asked why he had not stopped him if he observed missed items. The employee responded with, "OK," and proceeded to go through every item in my husband's shopping bag. The employee then challenged that my husband did not pay for almonds. My husband showed him the receipt indicating they were paid in full. The employee relented and said, "OK, that's fine," at which point my husband was free to go.
