I'm a student at the highschool near this vons, I decided to get a chicken meal for lunch one time and I was nervous and lost since I had no idea how to get it (students have to purchase deli items differently), I went to the deli and asked the lady working their if I could have the chicken meal, she asked "how much (wings)" which I did not hear at all since she was wearing a mask and it was very loud around us, plus her accent mixed with the muffling from the mask made it very confusing. I politely asked her what she said, she repeated it a little louder, and I could tell from her tone she was irritated, but it was the same thing, I couldn't hear her at all. At this point I was just an awkward mess, I asked again and the lady dramatically pulls down her mask, gives me an eye roll, sighs and tells me AGAIN in a snarky tone. I'm sorry lady but it's not my fault I can't hear you in a crowded store full of other students. I finally got my chicken meal after a while and promptly never went back after that experience. Just because you work around kids all day, doesn't mean you are allowed to treat us like garbage, have some respect. And if you don't like working around those people then quit or just be polite, it's not hard.

This was the most organized and beautiful store I have ever been to. It's huge and packed with groceries, super clean. As I entered the store one of the managers was at the front door and greeting customers as they entered the store. The store smells so fresh and if you just name anything, you will be able to find it there. Very convenient location as well. This will be the go-to location from now on.

Thank you for being open Christmas Day! We weren't prepared and needed to find somewhere that we could grab a quick bite from. Mary was awesome she customized our sandwiches and made us feel taken care of! Not only was the service excellent but her sandwiches were so delicious! Thanks Mary for making our holiday special

Liz, the clerk in the Deli is the worst. She saw that I was waiting for help, but didn't care. She left me standing there for several minutes while preparing HER lunch all a while ignoring me then just plain walked off for her break, she didn't utter a single word. She didn't offer to get anyone to help me, no one was working the counter..... I guess she was in a hurry, maybe her food was getting cold, who knows. Go to Ralphs on Nimitz, they offer much (WAY BETTER) customer service. Too bad, this is a beautiful, clean and well stocked Von's but the lack of interest or care for customers leaves nothing to the imagination....

This review is specifically for the Supervisor Myyke. Totally unprofessional to his employees every time I come into this location. I normally use self checkout. Got back to my car and realized 5 items rang up full price on my receipt. I walked back in and explained it to the self checkout clerk she said no problem take it to register #3. Got to that register and supervisor Myyke had a huge melt down and couldn't understand the problem. I explained and he didn't want to hear it and said this is the price of the item I can't do anything about it?! and I said I understand but on the shelf and in the app they're on sale. So should I return and repurchase to get sale price? and he said I still don't understand what you're talking about with a total condescending attitude instead of even having someone verify the prices. I get it's busy there but there wasn't a line at all. He told me to stop talking and to just get out and leave. I was shaking. His hands were waving in the air too. Then he made some accusatory remark that he should've photocopied my receipt. For what sir? So ridiculous and totally unprofessional. The more I tried to remedy the more he lost his cool in front of other customers and employees as though he had a right to treat me that way. The prices were wrong regardless of what they rung up as and he could've double checked but would rather argue with me with his misogynist banter.

I've been coming to this Vons for 21 years. We moved Downtown and the grocery store down here just wasn't as good as the Vons in Liberty Station. The customer service here is the best! Thank you to the Director manager Maria who took care of a situation at her store in 10 minutes after I emailed her! Also, Arron in the wine department is also the best at customer service. You can call him and he will find what you need and set it aside for you!!!! Best Vons in San Diego!

What an amazing crew! Met the employees as I walked through the store, including the manager, Hilda. Hospitable, friendly and supportive! Anthony, in the Deli, was also very nice and helpful. Thank you so much!

Deli staff missing in action. Several customers left because there was no one to serve them. Entire deli department empty. Finally 2 woman appeared in back having a conversation. They saw me but ignored me. When I challenged them on why there was no one there I got major attitude. She didn't understand why it was a problem that there was no one working. Couldn't care less. I think she hates her job.

My 11 year old daughter and I shop here almost everyday ! Very clean and professional store ! What we enjoy the most is the employees ! Friendly an Helpful always ! We Love Tina, Joe and Max. High School kids are a big problem with theft and language but we always feel safe ! We recommend this store to anyone who likes good quality service ! Miles and Arielle

Vons presents a different grocery shopping experience. Since their merger with Albertsons it seems to have made the stores better but the way the store people treat customers remain the same.. There kind and know how to make the store experience a nice one.

Rella at the deli, this one is for you.I was waiting behind a long line of young students getting their lunches. When I came to my turn the worker behind the counter just left me waiting. Rella saw me standing there for a few minutes, even though she was working behind the warm food counter, she asked if I had been helped and threw on a pair of gloves to assist me. She was polite and helped answer my questions about the sandwich. It's rare to find employees like this especially in today's work environments. I hope Vons recognizes her value and her ability to make a pretty tasty sandwich.

Was just there at Vons at Liberty Station, asked for some customer service from a clerk working check-out. I asked if they have anyone that is working the customer service station he said not necessarily. I asked another employee if anyone else could assist me , she asked the same clerk, he told her he was on break, a different answer that he gave me earlier. Get rid of the customer service at this store it is useless. This clerk would not work for me. And would go to Ralphs down the street where I have not have had a problem with customer servicePete O

Awful. Couldn't find the actual place in the grocery store Vons (no signs anywhere) and when I asked a cashier he responded disrespectfully that noone would "do it" for me today without even making eye contact. A bit of customer care training wouldn't hurt.
