This has to be the worst Vons in San Diego. Every single time I try to shop here none of the shelves are restocked. Items are gone within the day they're put out & won't be restocked for days. & I know shortages the past few years have been happening but this is the only Vons in San Diego thats never restocked so I don't think that is the main issue anymore. Items they almost never have in stock most days I try shopping are Pasta, frozen pizzas, yogurts, cat foods, water bottles etc. the list goes on there's so many regular things you can't find here regularly stocked. Take the Vons in La Jolla for example is stocked everyday & NEVER has empty shelves of anything!!! You see them restocking everything everytime you visit. & it's just as busy as this location. Also this location the past few weeks has no shopping carts to use/find or they are all broken. I can't carry all my things this is unacceptable I've never been to a grocery store that doesn't even have shopping carts readily available. Also you will never see all the check out lanes open at the same time. Around 8pm on a weekday the store is packed & there's one check out person available with a line down the aisle. Self check out has no help available & the line is also down the aisle. This location is just very disappointing & needs major improvements..

I like it a close and convenient store. The employees are helpful and very friendly! I've been shopping here for over 20 years.

While attempting to use Self Checkout, the apparent person in charge of Self Checkout walked over without asking if I needed any help and started checking me out. Since I am extremely familiar with the Self Checkout process at other Vons stores, I normally enter my phone number before I begin scanning any items. Because this person was performing the checkout process, it did not initially ask for my phone number and went to another screen which froze the entire process. She had to come back over and perform some keystrokes which then allowed me to enter my phone number. As I complained that this checkout process was not done in the order to which I am accustomed, she responded with a sarcastic remark about trying to be helpful. I then said that she never asked me if I needed any assistance in the first place. While I normally appreciate assistance when needed, it should not be assumed that I needed assistance without asking me first. This employee was quite exuberant and overly helpful. It would have been more appropriate to find out if I did in fact need or want assistance before she dove right in and started doing my checkout for me. I thought this was Self Checkout, not Employee Help Checkout. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

My wife and my 5 yr old daughter had an incident at this store earlier today. It started with 2 workers at the Starbucks ignoring my wife and refusing to take her order. She requested a manager and an assistant manager responded, Antonio. Antonio was very unhelpful and irritated that he had to do his job and respond to customer complaints. He did not try to fix any of it he only offered the phone number for corporate. He was very disrespectful. In the mean time, my wife was being heckled by the two Starbucks employees and someone from the deli area making racist comments about Asians. When my wife talked to someone from corporate, of course Antonio had lied about the truth. From the reviews of this place, all they offer is a local manager to solve the issues. Racists comments and disrespectful managers are well above the local management. This needs to be handled by someone higher than then because this Vons has bigger problems that the local management obviously can't deal with. Just read the other comments and you'll see how sorry this racist store really is.

This store is horrible!!! Always at least a half hour wait to check out. There is no quick in and out. They never have full checkouts going. At most just one. Avoid this store if you are in a hurry or have a sick kid.

This is a great location the parking is small if you not local just be aware staff is always friendly line can long in the afternoons so pay attention to the busy times posted the bakery is the best highlight have been coming to this location for a few years for birthday cakes and cupcakes and Silvia is the best! Delicious cupcakes and beautiful designs always pay special attention to allergy orders and that goes along way for us !5star bakery and site for sure

The interior layout and parking lot are like one of the circles of Hell. Unbelievably cramped and chaotic aisles, everything is a mess, and you're somehow constantly in everyone else's way no matter what time you go. Also, good luck using the pharmacy. Their posted times seem to just be a suggestion, because twice I've shown up well before the time they list for their lunch break and found out they'd already closed down and left. Just an absolute amateur hour joke all around, I'd need to be absolutely desperate to set foot in here.

Love the store could have gone about my day better without the rude woman working at self/check out jumping down my throat for no reason. I'm sorry if you don't like me because of whatever reason you think. However, I'm a long standing advocate for human rights and not a "Karen" by any means. Thanks for making me never want to visit this store again.

I feel like lately all my reviews are not good ones... So let's get Down to it. I just was at the Vons a normal height is 5:30 in the afternoon I walk in to get some deli meat and the guy behind the counter said that they were at the deli was closed. And so I didn't understand why it would be closed at 5:30 in the afternoon evening and he told me that they were short staffed so they had to close early which they normally don't close until 8 o'clock 730 8 o'clock at night. As I was leaving I noticed that the deli was re-opened after I already checked out waiting in line looked over and the deli was open I'm not sure if he didn't wanna take care of me or or what so I really I'm not gonna give them five stars for stars I will give them a three star because this Vons is a great Vons but if I could I would give the deli department a one star

Very healthy happy with the deli at Vons Katrina made me the best sandwiches and she went above and beyond even when they were close she took my order and had it already for me with the kindness of kind

This Von's has grown up so much this year. First, they have taken Covid seriously, and it makes you feel safe there. Second, the people who work there are friendly and know where to find *everything*! But they have also stepped it up a lot on the food. Fresh naan, Panko, upscale ice cream, agave syrup, etc. Yes, the new self-checkouts are a pain in bum because no one can figure it out. But the cashiers and other employees there are so friendly and will help. Seriously, this Von's has grown so much in the last couple of years.

Been shopping at this Von's since '2001'! One of the first checkers that waited on me was Lori, hope I spelled her name right, LOL. The employees are always friendly and ready to help you with whatever it is you may need. I alwâys say hello to Carla,cone of this Von's oldest stockers and she is a pro at it. It's ashame to see such a huge turnover because of Covid 19. I mean, "Geez", I'm not exaggerating! Love the Deli and always find great things to eat for my lunches. Thank you Vons on Adams.

They removed the express checkout and now have self checkouts. Awful! Store is too small for self checkout. Long lines. Avoid if you can.

Almost a year into the virus and Vons has given up on masks. If you love to shop without a mask in a pandemic and don't care about people around you... Vons is your store. If this is not your thing and you ask someone why they were allowed to shop and check out without a mask... you become the Karen. How many thousands of dollars have I spent there over the last 5 years? It's all part of the process of letting things go and moving on to another store where they respect the health and safety of customers.
