I walked into the branch on B Ave to transfer my funds from my CD to my checking account. Despite the bank being empty at the time, I was turned away and told that I needed to make an appointment to do that. At their next available appointment, I was informed that since I was one day past the grace period of the CD maturity, there would be a $3000 penalty for transferring the funds out of the CD, even though they were the reason why I missed the grace period in the first place! Not to mention the fact that two different bankers at the La Jolla branch had already assured me that there would be no early withdrawal fees with the CD, and if I even missed the withdrawal grace period and the CD automatically enrolled onto another term, the only thing I’d lose would be the accrued interest on the CD. This whole thing sounds like a bait and switch.

I had an appointment for 9am. when I got there they were not open yet so I went to the 7eleven nearby then when I came back I found out I got skipped. they told me to wait, so I waited like 40 minutes then I was told there was no more time for me and I had to go online to make a new appointment. they didn't even help me make the new appointment.I had a whole hour window scheduled and they just gave it to someone else then they had no time to help me. I just wanted to open a new account. I feel like they could've helped me, there was like 2 people just there at the counter, no customers. after this experience I can tell I'm not wanted so I won't be coming back.

Go to the Wells Fargo on 1st street in downtown San Diego. This place is a sad display of banking and customer service The laziest bank manager and bankers. Needed to cancel a cashier check i purchased there It was Thanksgiving Eve and i get everyone one wanted to leave. They actually told me "there are no bankers here to help you. Call Wells Fargo customer help" No bankers. At a bank. During business hours. Joke.

This bank is literally the worst. Why can't they get a wire out with 2 hours notice. Only having one banker that can do wires is absurd. Seems like they are doing everything they can to push away business customers.

While conducting an in-person visit of the bank was a pleasant experience, attempting to reach a specific banker, or banking personnel via email or by telephone is a futile experience.a. the telephone numbers on signature lines in an email are simply the number to the branch, not the person.b. correspondence with branch personnel can go days without a response... for example I sent an email on a Monday to a banker I've been working with at the branch, it's now 3 days later on Thursday and still no reply to a simple inquiry.c. the KTS (key telephone system) is ultimately programmed to not permit a phone call to go through to the branch because no one picks up the phone. upon dialing in, a caller can choose to speak to a banker, but the phone rings endlessly until the KTS prompts to use automated service or continue to hold. upon continuing to hold the phone again rings... but personnel do not pick up and the KTS essentially fails, not permitting the caller to remain on the line only providing automated service options and a recording "the bankers at this branch are busy helping other customers and cannot take your call at this time" which is essentially complete bulls--- (I've attempted to dial the branch after being in the vicinity and witnessing low traffic and still no one picks up the phone, it's just deliberate)Again, while the folks are very pleasant in-branch, do not expect to maintain a relationship, or receive any timely follow up if you need to actually contact someone outside of person to person i.e., over the phone or via email, it's a frustrating experience. You've been warned.

Received a phone call from this branch asking me to call back. Called 35 times over the span of an hour and no one answered the phone. Kept getting the message"Bankers at this branch are not able to answer your call at this time" before the call was disconnected. Would love to know what time they are available to answer the phone or even the reason as to why they called me in the first place.

The service here was truly spectacular! I’m an African American male and I am so used to being prosecuted and discriminated against but the people here were very patient, and extraordinarily helpful! If you need any service Adrian and Fries(not sure if that’s how you spell his name) are a wonderful help!

Not the best, but not the worst. They are conveniently located near where I work. Tellers change often and sometimes staff are not there when you need. However, they are friendly.

Is Wells Fargo ran by pilgrims? Went in today 2/1/2023 because I took out $80 cash out of there atm (the one right out front, connected to their building) and one of the 20's came out with 1/4 of it ripped off. I went into replace the bill because I would obviously not use this af any establishment. They checked my account to verify that I literally just used their atm, then said I need to contact the department I'd treasury and MAIL IN THE $20 BILL so that they can SEND ME A CHECK FOR $20 IN THE MAIL. She said they can't accept "mutilated" bills (lmao) but they're allowed to give their customers mutilated bills out of their atm? A total joke and Corrupt bank. Are we in the 1950s?

I went in to deposit 3 money orders. SABRINA, would only deposit 2 of the three because the 3rd money order had "expired". I left confused because I thought money orders didn't expire, especially ones from USPS. I drove home, hopped on google and sure enough, they DON'T EXPIRE. I called Wells Fargo just to be sure, WELLS FARGO also confirmed that they don't expire. DROVE BACK and luckily got the savvy SABRINA again, I asked for manger and she replied that she was a manager!?!?! How could a LEADER be so unsure of their responsibilities or simple banking operations. She deposited the money order without issue, you could see her EGO deflate as she printed my receipt. On the Way out I asked if she had anything to say after being wrong and for wasting my time. She refused to apologize, that is how sad of a person she is and how poorly the branch is "managed". She can have all the makeup and cosmetic surgery in the world but it wont cover up her poor attitude or lack of empathy.
