My wife and myself found this grocery store while in town from Florida. I found this grocery store to be clean and a refreshing environment. We found the prices comparable to other grocery stores of this quality (not a Walmart atmosphere). I was able to find everything I needed and more.
At the register, we had some clearance items and the staff gladly and promptly helped us by scanning themselves rather than just clearing the error for us to do it ourselves. He was conversational and friendly.
As someone who works in a field that relies on reviews and management focuses on them, I always read a few good and bad reviews. Those negative reviews for this grocery store seem to be inaccurate and exaggerated.
I would return here again over other grocery options in San Diego time and time again.

There was a girl doing carts today I probably was there around 5-530 she was very rude to me . I asked for a cart and she just stayed in her phone and then 30 sec later said yea just take it. And stormed off. Then when I was walking to my car the same cart girl with glasses was out there bothering a customer, going on and on about how much she hates her job and all the managers and she’s been there since 2005 . She was saying terrible things , the man finally got in his car and was trying to leave and she still was going on . All and all she made a lot of people uncomfortable including me and she definitely should not be an employee. Bad face for the store front .

I love the shop and I shop there a lot, but the short Mexican man there at self checkout is always extremely rude and unkind, and has no respect for shoppers.

The staff at this Vons is extremely rude, especially self-checkout and management. I don’t expect a friendly attitude, but they do not even have basic respect or consideration for their customers. I very kindly asked to make a return for a purchase I made THE DAY BEFORE that I made by mistake. They did not allow me to return and were unsure about their own return policy. Their specific return policy is not available to customers either, so they can do whatever they want. Customer service said no and then asked the manager and the manager asked the same person who called the manager. They both agreed to not allow me to return for no apparent reason without even letting me talk or explain. They said we sometimes accept these kinds of returns, but that they didn’t want to accept it for me. They seemed to get something out of being rude to me. In my opinion, it seemed like it even had some kind of discriminatory undertones- either due to my age, appearance, or ethnicity. They accepted a return that was half-eaten food for an older Caucasian man right before me. My purchase was completely unopened and untouched. I had a receipt as well. They definitely had something against me, whatever their problem is. I see that I am not the only one in the reviews section who has experienced discrimination at this location. Someone needs to seriously do something about this. Do not buy anything you are even slightly unsure about because you may be their next victim.

Good staff and quality but they got so expensive that driving to Whole Foods is a more affordable option. It just feels like Vons is price gouging at this point.

This is your basic Vons store that has all the essentials including a pharmacy, bakery and deli. I generally find it well stocked, organized and clean. Since they have self check out, you can usually get in and out fairly quickly. The store is usually dead, except weekdays after work right before dinner, when it can get super busy. The staff can be hit or miss if you need customer service.

I went to the self checkout and started scanning the items, when I realized that the chicken didn’t have the label with the barcode. There were 2 employees working there and I asked one for help, but he just told me to pay the other items, go back inside and bring another tray of chicken. He didn’t even gave me choice of leaving the cart there and go quickly exchange the product. The worst part is that he was not even busy, he was chatting and looking at his phone.

This location for Vons is nice overall. There are a few restaurants, Starbucks, and Tesla charging stations nearby. Fruits and veggies are normally pretty fresh. The restroom would be an area of "opportunity" as a few times it was unkempt. Staff are generally friendly and the shopping areas are clean.

I've shopped here dozens of times without issue but tonight a female cashier gave me attitude for literally no reason. Customer service needs serious work. Shame considering other employees are very friendly and helpful.

This store stocks frozen food that has expired and is a health hazard to consumers. I just bought a Signature frozen lasagna and fed it to our family, then looked at the box while cleaning up and discovered it was four months out of date. Is that a criminal offense? It should be. Never shopping there again.

Like any other places these days, you need to download their app to make the most out of your shopping experience. I feel like many items are overpriced so that they can be "on sale". With that said, this store is always clean, and the staff at the pharmacy is helpful. Parking is easy.
