We had an extremely disappointing experience at checkout today involving Eddie B and the bagger assisting him. A parent in our party was juggling an impatient toddler while unloading a cart with roughly $180 worth of groceries. In the process of moving bags out of the toddler’s reach, a pork shoulder in the cart was momentarily obscured.
Instead of handling the situation with understanding or even a simple question, the bagger immediately accused the parent of trying to steal, asking, “Are you trying to hide this?” The tone and assumption were completely inappropriate and uncalled for.
To make matters worse, the cashier, Eddie B, later blamed us for a scanning error that was clearly on their end.
This kind of accusatory and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable—especially when directed at a stressed parent simply trying to manage a checkout with a young child. Staff should be trained in both basic customer service and how to de-escalate, not escalate, routine interactions.

I would like to say thank you to Polly in the bakery department. She was so very kind and helpful. She stopped and asked me if she could help me with something. I explained to her how the day before I dropped my son's favorite cake, carrot cake. I wanted to make it up to him by buying him another one. There was not any more left, she went to the back to check if any was back there. Next thing I noticed she had a tray of carrot cakes. She placed one in the cake plastic container and I was on my way. Thank you to Ms. Polly, I appreciate you!

Generally a good store BUT TOO EXPENSIVE. I got more diverse groceries and ample supply at Walmart than Vons. Ridiculous.

It would be great if Vons could keep their store door unlocked during the pharmacy’s open hours (on the pharmacy side of the building), or align the door’s locking time with the pharmacy’s closing time, so physically disabled customers trying to walk the shortest distance from the parking lot to the pharmacy (for example, after work on a weeknight at 6:45pm) wouldn’t encounter the locked store door. At that point, once at the locked door, walking around to the other entrance and thru the store to the pharmacy, or back to the car to move it and using the other entrance, is not an option physically; the distance to walk is too great. It requires returning to the pharmacy on another day. This is a serious inconvenience to people with disabilities, who are likely common customers of the pharmacy.

Deli department has pretty bad customer service. Everytime I have to order a sandwich or hot food, I feel like an inconvenience. The workers make all efforts to ignore you and avoid eye contact instead of acknowledging you or telling you that they will be with you shortly. Today the woman and the man working there walked past me several times before attending me. I almost walked away but I really wanted a sandwich. I understand that they may be busy but please don't make me feel like I'm an inconvenience. I used to work the deli a few years back but always acknowledged my customers.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and it’s generally a good store. Very clean, lots of products in stock, big parking lot. Most of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The only issue that I consistently run into is being charged for bags. I bring my own bags every single time, yet certain cashiers will charge me for bags anyway. Sometimes I catch it immediately, but sometimes not till it’s too late. It’s starting to get pretty irritating at this point.
