Had the best service & sandwich from the Vons deli today - just wanted to say thank you to Brian the service deli clerk- kudos to him and the Assistant Manger Joe which helped me also while I was in the Produce Department this afternoon- parking was a little tight but what can you expect at that time of the day-

They NEVER have enough checkers nor do they care how long customers have to wait in line. Even though we live just blocks from this Vons, we will drive miles to the next grocery store so we don't have to endure the frustration of buying from this store.
Also, the store has a dirty/dingy appearance.
Simply out, all the customers' experience is just NOT a concern of this store's manager.

Honestly, instead of everybody on here, griping and complaining about no help long lines you all complain to the company I work for the store and I totally understand that people aren’t gonna have the best opinion of our store. We are on strike and gonna be on it pretty soon to affect. They are giving us no help. They have cut our labor in half they have decreased everybody’s hours so a lot of people are coming to work with baggage they are taking from our mouths our children our families a lot of of us are barely getting by struggling to get by and no this isn’t an excuse. This isn’t a cop for rude customer service but at the same time, please put yourself in our shoes if you were working and they cut your hours your pay if they did everything they could to make your life miserable working for them then you’d understand our store, never was like this we had check stands. We had nice employees we had people who loved coming to work now it’s a prison and we’re working for a shady unethical company. They break the law and if you want to fight the system, you have to call HR direct or Albertsons and complain about them and their practices and their force labor laws and the horrible conditions that are in the store. I know it reflects and it makes us look bad and it hurts that people don’t wanna come back. They don’t wanna shop at our store because they’re so many things wrong with our store in our location. Yeah there’s gonna be bad eggs. I understand there’s gonna be bad people, but as someone who sees it from the inside out rather than the outside looking in there’s a lot that’s going on right now. That’s disgusting about this company and I do not respect Albertsons. I don’t respect their criminal behavior. They are crooks. They are thieves. They are doing things against the law but a lot of people don’t see that cause they don’t work for the company and a lot of people keep their mouth shut because they don’t wanna be fired for speaking out on this so please have a little more patience and understanding and I’ve noticed a lot of people complaining about Things being locked up and yes, it’s bothersome. Yes, it’s a waste of time waiting on somebody who doesn’t feel like working, but the main reason things are locked up is because all the homeless and lowlife thieves and thugs coming in and stealing, made that possible so don’t blame us blame the lowlife people the homeless people, the thugs a tweakers Who come in and ruin that experience for you guys coming in getting something and getting out I know I’m gonna get backlash for this comment. I know a lot of people won’t agree with me and that’s fine but I refuse to be quiet reading these reviews. I refuse to be quiet when people talk about no help. There’s no help because we’re not given the hours. If you look at only one spectrum only one area at a whole picture you’re gonna be very misleading you ought to complain to the company to get us more hours therefore more help a lot of things go bad on the shelves because people don’t consider. We have no staffing. It’s not because nobody wants to work. We have no hours to work You people are not the only people affected by this. We are too think about that next time you write a review, thank you

This is one of the best Vons in San Diego.
This store is rarely out of stock & their meats is always fresh.Nothing but excellent customer service at this Vons.Like Will,and the cake ladies from the bakery department,Larry and Marcilino,from the meat department.Also,the manager Deann.They’re always ready to take care of their customers & specially a difficult customer like myself.Again,one of the best Vons in San Diego with excellent customer service.

It’s was a busy day at Vons , went in to 4 items and waited in line for 16 minutes. When I finished paying my items realize forgot to add a bag to hold the items I purchased. I ask female manager if it’s okay to get a bag she replied it’s 10 cents and told to get back in line to purchase the 10 cents bags. After waiting in a long line. I responded it’s okay thanks. She can back with a smart remark said have a nice day with bad attitude smirk. I will never go back to your store again. Thank you for customer service.

Rude Cashier. Older black lady "Loretta" couldn't find the barcode and when I point it out she raises her voice saying "I knew that" like she didn't just try to scan it 10 times without finding the barcode. Doesn't even say thank you or anything and ignores me when I say it. If you don't want to be at work, there are a lot of people that will take the job. That's why this is the Von's you only go to as a last resort.

This location never fails to have their cashiers be unfriendly. On more than one occasion I have had an entire transaction where they never said a word. Not a “hello” or “thank you”. Their management must be poorly run because they are often loudly complaining to each other and once I was in a line where the cashier was so frustrated she left to go to the back and we had to wait for someone else to come to finish check out. People here are miserable and they she couldn’t care less an out customers or the often low stock, and even expired products they sell.

Called and just spoke to Diane who answered my phone call. She was rude and spoke over me and then when I brought it to
Her attention she said it was so noisy in there that she felt she had to be loud. I told her that it didn't seem loud to me and I never asked her to repeat herself . I feel she just felt the need to cut me off when all I was doing was explaining to her that she gave me a wrong number .That concludes my option on the employee dianne a acting manager of Vons .Zion San Diego
