The employees here need to be let go and they need to start hiring competent and more respectful people starting with the manager. And they need a bigger team.

Great food, produce, fruits/veggies. Tons of traffic. Always busy which is expected in this area. The bathrooms are the only reason it's not 5 stars. I feel bad for the staff working there if they have to use the one I did.

This is the main Von’s I go to for groceries and I frequently do Drive-Up orders. Pam is always the one who helps me and she is so attentive to detail! She notices the little things and I really appreciate it!

I wanted to buy some fried chicken and salad. The Mexican inside seemed to be only responsible for working and not selling anything. I asked him to help me get the fried chicken, but he just looked at me coldly and continued to fiddle with his fried chicken, ignoring me, as if his job was not to sell products. Their staff were just displaying products. Things here can only be viewed, not bought. Bad review.

I've had so many bad experiences at this store, I don't even know where to start. Today was the tipping point when I was told "we don't cut salmon" by the butcher at the meat counter. Interestingly, I have bought cuts of salmon almost daily for the past 6 months and yesterday, the exact same butcher cut my salmon with no issue (although he was far from friendly then either)... when I said this, he began arguing with animated gestures so I just left. Other highlights of my terrible Vons Garnet experiences: being accosted by the self checkout woman who insisted how many bags I had didn't make sense for how much my total was, and then proceeded to check every single item to the receipt, failing to even apologize after she realized that I indeed was not a thief; being randomly told by a produce worker walking by that I'm too skinny; and coming outside to a naked man in the parking lot taking a leak on the car beside mine. Although the last one isn't really Vons' fault I guess. Anyway, 10/10 don't recommend coming here and I no longer will, despite it being in my literal backyard. It is 100% worth it to drive further and avoid the dumpster fire that is PB Vons

I went to the VONS in Pacific Beach today for the first time.
I was so impressed. I don't think I've ever seen so many self-check out machines before and numerous checkers open too. It was a quick grab my items and really fast checkout.
I highly recommend going there if you don't like waiting in long, slow lines.
I compare this to the Pacific Beach Ralph's that I went to the night before.
It was a mess. Only 2 checkers open with long slow lines and a couple self-check out machines. Meanwhile they had numerous self-checkout machines at the other end all locked off.
Horrible "service". I used to go there, but it's been a year since. What a DISAPPOINTMENT !!!

Routinely lines more than halfway down an aisle. Would be nice to be able to shop here and not have to wait 20 minutes to checkout. Tried to talk to the manager and she said they have the appropriate number of registers open. Why are lines this the status quo here?
