For most of my life I've shopped at Vons, they had what I need at good prices and offered a clean, friendly experience.
I'm afraid this will be the first time I'll be looking around for other competing grocery stores after the Pavilions change. After my last trip there and a surprisingly high bill, I compared it to other normal Vons and my previous orders there to discover no change in item quality but more than a 23% increase in price!
I'm disappointed in the upper management who decided on this tone-deaf change (Vons is also the only grocery chain to not recover egg prices yet btw) during tougher economic times.
But hey, if you want to spend MORE for the SAME stuff then Pavilions is just right for you!

I lowered my rating because of April. She has to be the worst and the most rude employee there. The way she treats older customers is disrespectful and I don't understand why she is employed there. But the rest of the staff is super friendly and the store clean. I'll never use self checkout again, because she thinks it's funny to give me hard time by making me wait and rudely saying "I'll get there when I get there " she said that with a smile and loud enough so only I could hear. She's pathetic.

Online catalogue and in store stock do not match. Wasted a lot of time traveling to this store because website said you had blood oranges when you didn't.

To many "fake" service dogs inside the store and the grocery baskets where you put your food. Pretty unsanitary.
Service and people who work there are great!

This store is such trash. They’re ***regulalry**^ out of peppermint mocha creamer. 12+ years and counting. Tim, the dairy manager at the Encinitas store, has been able to keep it stocked for the last 10 years. Can’t be that difficult to gauge customer demand. ??♂️??♂️??♂️

The store was nice and clean and they always have the freshest meat and vegetables. The only issue is how extremely pricey everything is.

Vons is a little more on the pricey side, so I usually have to plan ahead and buy in bulk. But they always have clean and good quality perishables and non-perishables. The store is clean, neat in appearance, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
