Tony Osorio is an excellent service consultant who assisted on a strut post repair complication. Without a previous appointment, Tony worked with service technician David Scafidi to road test, inspect, identify and repair the source cause of my vehicle front end vibration. Same day thorough and quality service repair. Service is professional, personable, knowledgeable and exacting.

I first inquired about getting some things fixed under warranty over 3 months ago before my warranty ran out. Was told by Todd Holdren to email him, and they'll help me get the items fixed. Here we are, August 25th, and I first emailed May 8th. I need answers and my vehicle shortcomings fixed ASAP. This is the worst customer service I've ever had at a dealership, and I'm very disappointed because my warranty is up. Make it right, Todd Holdren. Stand by your word.

Tried to gaslight my mother and I into thinking that their Dealership add-ons were mandatory. Was okay service until they had to make the sale, then after asking for them to take off the unnecessary add-ons, they tried bringing over their sales manager to seal the deal. Bro couldn't provide documentation that the add-ons were a mandatory part of their selling price. Kept trying to hit us with "It's on our website" like 5 times. We may have bought the car if they weren't trying to act like sneaky snakes. Corgial people tho, just slimey.

Isaac is a great service advisor. Always a pleasant experience working with him. He's respectful of your time, explains everything thoroughly and just has a positive attitude overall. This location has the best dealership service department I've ever dealt with.

Need new key and mobilizer unit = $650
Labor is $229 an hour = $1000
The itemized invoice for the work (see attached).
According to the service manual it is a 1 hour job but they need 5ive.
Update;
The part is unavailable. Was charged nothing. Happily surprised.

Took.our 2034 Atlas to Kearny Mesa VW in response to a NHTSA recall notice. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and the service was performed quickly and efficiently. Service Writer John was pleasant and efficient and kept me informed of the progress on the vehicle.

Great experience. Had gone to many different dealerships and VW Kearny Mesa had the best deal. In 2020 I signed a 4 year lease with them and loved my car and the service so I went back for another lease. Gabe Hanson was the salesman who assisted me this time. I turned in my 2020 VW Tiguan R-Line and got the same one but newer. Gabe did not pressure me in any way. I told him that I didn't want to go above a certain number and he honored my decision. I did go up a little higher because I wanted the R-line but still a fantastic monthly lease payment.

Terrible service department experience. Poor follow-up on issues that pose safety risks.
I brought in my 2023 ID.4 for a routine service and to have several issues looked at: infotainment system randomly turning off losing reverse camera and navigation, warped windshield, peeling steering wheel material, windows rolling down when moving switch to up, not properly connecting to phones. I informed the service advisor that there was a recall for the infotainment system announced in May (NHTSA recall 24V-344 ) and reiterated that the main point of my visit was to speak to someone about these issues. The advisor said they didn’t have time to look at those issues and I would need to schedule a second appointment. Super frustrating because that was the main reason for the appointment. He also said he was not aware of the recall and said he would speak to a manager and call me to schedule an appointment. Two weeks later had not received a call.
I called and made a second appointment. They could not replicate the infotainment system issue and said they were unaware of the recall. They told me they could not help unless I took video of it with my phone while it was happening. I informed them that would require me to film it with my phone while driving. I also reiterated that the issue is intermittent. All the details of this issue match the issues in the active recall.
They said they would have to contact VW about the warped windshield (even though it’s a safety issue) and they ordered a new steering wheel.
After two weeks I had not heard back on the windshield or the steering wheel. The advisor texted back 24 hours later and said they didn’t have any news.
It’s now three weeks later and I contacted the service advisor first thing this morning. It’s now after closing time and I have not heard back.
This is, hands-down, the worst service experience I’ve had in decades.
I don’t feel heard or respected. VW is sending a clear signal that my family’s safety is an acceptable business risk and that they don’t stand behind their product.
This ID.4 was purchased brand new and has less than 15k miles on it.
