I shipped out a box that was size 8x8x8 and I purchased this box at another San Diego location. All I needed to pay for was the shipping.
I was attended by a worker named Blanca. She charged me for the box which was already paid for. So my little $4 box was charged as $8. Also, when I had to confirm the privacy act note, she yelled at me. She wanted me to confirm as quick as possible and apparently my pace was angering her. She was extremely impatient and unprofessional. I have never been yelled at in a postal office like that.

The worst!!! Line to the door, 3 slow workers, NO sense of urgency, NO AC.
It’s the closest post office to me, so I keep coming back hoping they improve BUT everytime they let me down. I’ll keep driving to the Clairemont post office.
Linda Vista post office ????

I don't have another postal office location to choose from. The Linda Vista location is one block away from where I live. All my mail and packages are processed and delivered by the staff there. This is the worst location. They have lost many of my packages. Maybe I they didn't want to deliver it And never say sorry or admit it's their fault. Therefore, they never pay for the lost packages they lose. I don't want to talk to them because they are rude and ignore you with a blank, irresponsible response. Understaffed and undertrained.

HELP ?‼️Blanca is verbally abusing customers. I cannot continue to see this happen every single time I’m in there. It’s getting worse every time too. Can corporate step up and please take some action here?

Timing can make all the difference. After 3 pm at this Post Office on Comstock, the line is short and the staff are friendly. Yelinda was courteous & helpful with my small Priority Mail piece. The customers are calm; this is a well-mannered neighborhood.

Like seemingly everyone else, I had a miserable experience here. I came in to finalize an address change from Northern California to San Diego, with a confirmation barcode I received in the mail. The female clerk was unnecessarily rude and abrasive, stating that if I didn’t have a “certified” proof of my old address she would refuse to help me. Regular mail and even mail from the government would not suffice. I asked her several more questions to get a better understanding and she told me I was “going in circles” with her and I needed to leave. Horrible customer service from people that hate their jobs.

I go to post offices farther away to avoid the rude employees at the Linda Vista location.

Friendly staff. Not efficient though. Stood in line for 8 minutes to be told pick up at at lane 1. They are not labeled. There is nothing telling you to go to lane 1. They need to put up signage. They also need to work together. The lane 1 person was helping a complicated situation. The rest of the post office cleared out and we all were still just waiting for lane 1 to get free. Over 15 minutes to pick up some water that was oversized. Please fix the operations at this location.

I’ve been coming to this location for a couple years now and have had good experiences. Today I went in, and the cashier April clearly had a bad day and took it out on me. She belittled me and disrespected me the entire time I was in the store. I wasn’t ready with the addresses because they were in my phone, so I asked her if I could buy the tape and leave the register to take my own time. She would not allow me to. She told me it was my fault for not being ready, but I just wanted to take my time by myself and not be judged right in front of her. I just wanted to take my time by myself and she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I bought the tape and left immediately. I guess it’s my fault for wearing a baggy sweatshirt and leggings today. She probably thought I was a thief. She treated me like one. Next time I’ll do my makeup and dress nicely on my one day off I have a week. I will be using a different location moving forward. I don’t want to feel belittled when I go into a business. April is not kind. I work in customer service and would never treat someone this way. April, if you’re reading this: don’t take out your bad day on customers, you don’t know what they are going through.

I am tired of this old lady. She always finds way to not accept my package. Can anyone fix her or tell her it is not nice? I gave my to another location no problem they accept, but she has always issues.

I went to send a care package a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience here. The bad reviews worried me, but my experience was great. I was in there maybe 10 minutes and had no wait time. It was a painless experience and the lady at the counter was so so nice.

I really don't understand why this particular post office is so terrible. My condo complex routinely has issues with mail and packages being lost/mishandled by this post office. I regularly receive my neighbors' mail, and they receive ours. Lost packages are the norm. The issues with this post office have become so frequent that I will actively drive out of my way to take my outgoing mail to a different post office because this one is so unreliable. At this point, I anticipate any package shipped to my home address via USPS will be lost. If I am expecting anything to be delivered by USPS, I will try use a different shipping address so that it is not handled by this particular post office. I have lived in many different places in San Diego, and have never had problems with USPS until moving into my current residence. We never have issues with any other delivery carriers like FedEx, UPS, etc.
And then there's the attitudes of the staff working at this post office. First of all, this post office is always crowded, with long lines and workers who are in no rush to keep the line moving. When you finally get to the front of the line, the workers are not helpful at all, and there is an 80% chance they'll make you wait in another long line to speak to a manager for something simple. After multiple interactions with my local mail carriers and the staff working inside the post office, most have been rude, incompetent, and indifferent. My experience in other post offices are nowhere near as awful as it is coming here. Just go to a different post office if you can, and hopefully your address doesn't get mail delivered from this one.

The worst. Waited in line to just be told they cannot ship something because they are out of tape and unable to help over old labels. Worthless. Go elsewhere

The worse always losing mail and putting mail in wrong boxes!
