I went here as a walk in for 3 new Passports and 1 renewal and I can believe how fast I was in and out. After trying to get appointments in other places with no success, I decided to give this place a try. Showed up around 430 was out before 5, lady was super friendly and helpful. The whole process couldn't have been any more smooth, highly recommend this usps.

This place has given me the worst customer experience of my life.1. The tracking number for my package said it was delivered/left in mailbox. It, in fact, was not delivered. Okay, I understand, things happen.2. Called this office multiple times and waited collectively over 3 hours and no one ever picked up.3. I am at this post office now and the one person working here has been in the back for over 25 minutes “looking” for my package.USPS, especially this office, is a joke.

Passport service: another government run office with extremely poor management. If you setup an appointment for passport renewal, the office may open and it may not. Depends on how backed up the workers are and if anyone called in sick. Who knows. Roll the dice because it might as well be a government office in Venezuela or Mexico, never know what you’re gonna get.

Valeria was super nice and respectful. She made it really easy and very simple. If you need to do a walk-in she is the person to go with.

Extremely foul and unprofessional services. I was scheduled for my passport picture. I arrive on time with the paperwork needed. When I get seen past my scheduled time, the supervisor claims I wasn't on the list. I showed her the paperwork for the time and she indicated that I need to leave. I asked for who I talked to and why I had conflicting information. She denied and closed the door. Completely unprofessional and classic government employment who does nothing.

To start off, this place never answers phone calls. I have called on different days and times, but they have never answered. So I had to drive with my 2 babies to ask just a question since they never answer the phone calls! Then I had to come back at 4 pm for a walk-in appointment for my baby's passport. We waited around 35-40 minutes, but my husband had to go to work. We only had one person ahead of us, and I asked the lady if my husband, since he had already been there, could just leave an ID since all the paperwork had been filled out and she had already seen him. It was just for parental approval. She said no and that he had to stay for the whole process. I don't see why he should have to stay if he already filled out the paperwork and waited. He really didn't have to stay just for the process; something I could have finished. But we had to leave after waiting for 35 min. And every time I've been there, the lady has been rude, with no customer service or care at all! It seems they enjoy being rude to people since we can't do anything about it.

discouraged by two other post offices in the South Bay, mind you at the Oxford post office super rude lady clerk!!! We were greeted at the River dale post office with a smile by Valerie Lopez. Right away she asked me if I had an appointment as she looked at her appointment list. I told her no, but my son needed a renewal and have been trying to book appointment on-line with no success since two months ago. Valerie values her customers as she went above and beyond her call of duty to accommodate the renewal of my son's passport. Valerie is super knowledgeable of the process and double checked application for completeness. She also is an expert in taking passport pictures! Valerie thank you for demonstrating that there is still good people on this earth!

Trying to get my baby a passport and had one of the most horrific customer service experiences I've ever had. This is the third time I had to come back (for ridiculous reasons prior) and I was three minutes late to my appointment carrying my two children, and the first thing Valerie (?) says is that she cannot help me because she wouldn't work into her "LUNCH BREAK." I have to reschedule my appointment for the FOURTH time. Mind you the office is completely empty and the paperwork could have been completed in the amount of time given since everything is filled out and pictures are taken. The worker and the manager are people who specifically try to make your life harder and more obstacles for you to jump through. Absolutely horrible people that need to find a different job outside of customer service.

Stopped in today with a question. Bao came out and greeted me with a smile and efficiently answered my question. He was so nice and knowledgeable that I had to write a review. He's an asset to the postal service and I hope he is well compensated. He also told me about Informed Delivery and suggested that I sign up.

I made an appointment for my child's passport on Friday. Friday morning, someone from this post office called me and Valarie who is the person in charge of the passport is sick today so if you came, no one can help you. What??? I complained because I made this appointment over one month ago and my child's passport will be expired in 6 weeks. The lady said Valarie will call you next Monday to reschedule another appointment. I asked her if she didn't call me, what number I can call then she gave me the number. Valarie didn't call me on Monday so I called the number that I gave but never answered. Tuesday, I tried to call them but all calls were hang up. Then Wednesday, Valarie called me but I missed her call sadly but I called the number which Valarie left in a message. Now it said the office is closed today.I didn't expect the good service from them but I will not trust them. I should have read the review from Yelp.We will go to SDSU passport center. I sent an email to them for some questions and they replied in 30 minutes.

Unorganized location and communication within each other is lacking when dealing with customer issues. I spoke to female manager and worker on issue and I was informed today they lost my paperwork that I turned in that day to resolve our supposedly leashed-less dog report for mailman, leading to another month of no mail for our whole apartment. When speaking to other male manager today and resubmitting, he said it should be processes right away and we will get our mail delivered again, hopefully. In addition to this whole issue, I feel my 3 year old pitbull was discriminated by his bread due to other neighbors who dont follow rules of keeping their 2 chiwawas leashed up and not getting called out for that. I obviously don’t leave my puppy off leash, my dog is even scared of the chiwawas, smh, Irritating. I get its for the safety of the delivery driver, but there is a moment when it affects ones life and relationships with everyone involved and lying about a dog that scares you just to stop dropping off mail at the apartment isnt right. Manager expressed urgency to staying indoors when workers come, and obviously I wouldn’t want to scare them when I have to go outside with him. On the other hand they still like to park their vehicle infront/behind/side of our apartment and yet they are scared of their safety. Can’t even go outside walking with a leash because I dont even know their time routine.

I had appointment schedule months out at this location on 11/30 @ 11:00am. I chose here because it was close to work and was able to make time to complete the passport process. When I arrived 15 minutes early, there was a sign on the door that said "Sorry for the inconvenience passport office close due to short staff" There was a lady on the side of the building who let us know the ONLY girl that knew how to do passports called out sick. She took my name and number down and said someone would call me. That's ridiculous. I work through the week and it just so happen I missed her call on a friday, she left a voicemail and said you call the number back and when I called back the number automated service said that I needed to call during business hours. After multiple attempts it was unsuccessful. Still to this day, I have not received a follow up call. An important event in my life, schedule appointment months before, just for nothing. Being a previous USPS employee, this is not how I would of handled this situation.

This only for passport and certain package pickup and drop off. Not a full service post office. Very misleading

My review is for the Passport Office only. Of note, I filled out my forms online, had all my documentation, and payment ready upon arrival. The service was fast and the teller was very knowledgeable. She informed me of the entire process and assisted me in making changes to my form. I could not have asked for an easier process. Google even said the location was busier than usual but there was nobody in line when I arrived. I do not the teller name but the receipt said Clerk #07...thank you again Clerk #07.
