Kevin is the only reason I still go here, he’s terrific.The lady in the left desk that is mentioned quite a bit in these reviews is horrible! It’s almost laughable how rude and grumpy she is. Put her in the back office away from customers.

Horrible customer service from the red headed chick who has a smoker’s voice. She’s parked on the left. Don’t get a box here if expecting packages. They may return to sender as I’ve experienced. Read yelp’s reviews for more details. Note; on Saturday the staff is great. Unfortunately, such a nice neighborhood drew me to this place. There is, in my experience, bias and prejudice with the red head. Sometimes bias and prejudice is color blind, however.

Initially I switched to this usps location from the Midway lcoation due to the very poor attitudes, unprofessionalism, and people acting like they hate their jobs at Midway location. Well come to find bitter DEBBIE has now switched to this locatiin and still has the same horrible attidude. Then bring no class employee ANGEL into it, who has an utter power trip and maybe thinks she owns this USPS store. Do better USPS. Hire employees with actual want for customer service, professionalism, and some sort of decency. KEVIN is the only GOOD thing about this location. He exerts positivity and professional customer service. Give that guy a raise and promotion.

Everything you’ve come to expect from USPS. Poor attitudes, understaffed, ridiculous wait times, and generally abandoning the front desk. Been standing here 10 minutes, there’s a long line, and no one will even come to the desk but you can hear them all back there just shooting the breeze.

They refused to let me use a pen to fill out their shipping package. They said “they’re not a pen company, they’re a shipping company”.I didn’t know how to respond to that one.

KEVIN ROCKS - best USPS in PL and better than OB - the employees here are sweet and kind. I feel for them because people get in line and wait 2 secs too long and start huffing and puffin. Others don't know what they are doing and take it out on the workers. WE appreciate you CANON USPS - keep up the good work

I rarely expect anything good from a government institution but please ask your front end staff to heal first Before they return to work after their cosmetic surgery. So unprofessional trying to have a conversation about business while the professional in question looks like a cartoon with surgical bandaid on their nose. Do better.

OK, who reviews the post office and leaves a good review, right? Well, most folks haven't met Kevin or seen him in action. He is a wonder of customer service. I knew he was a special guy when he signed me up for a PO box and did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. The other day, I stood in line waiting several extra minutes observing Kevin work his magic with an elderly customer who was trying to figure out how to pay or prove payment of a particular medical bill. Kevin the social worker was in play, he wrote things down for the customer, circled important phone numbers, suggested action and said "I'll be here to help you once you know where you'll send the letter to," oh so patient is Kevin. Wonderful. Yes, it was an extra 5 minutes of my time to watch it all unfold before me and some customers would share a one-star review because they had to wait too long -- but I was lucky to observe a kind and caring customer service pro in action. It was a privilege.Other things about this post office? This is one of the great USPS locations that accepts UPS/FEDEX/Amazon shipments (addressed with proper box number and PO street address) and I so appreciate that! There are a few "glitches" with that system and it is not unusual for me to have a FedEx tracking number saying something is delivered but the PO not to have the item in hand for a few (if not several) days. I get a HUGE number of packages via these other sources right now as we're momentarily in San Diego and doing a bunch of outfitting of our sailboat, so I'm not too concerned about it, the packages always pop up and I can get them eventually, but this does make me think they have a hard time with the workload of dealing with so many packages with so few staff there.Anyway, Point Loma USPS Kevin and all the rest -- please keep doing what you and being great! Thanks so much.

They have a poor organization system and front desk staff are incredibly unpleasant. Lost package on delivery. Told me to fill out a form and they have a line to busy to deal with the issue. It makes its way all the way to the United States only to be lost on delivery.

Recently opened a box here. Originally had a box in NorCal. The new box is under the general online account with a business name attached that I've had for 7 years. The business name is my last name plus "Enterprises". The male clerk said I needed proof of my business. I responded that the name wasn't for deliveries.or doing business as, but more of an internet username. Two weeks later I received (another) notice regarding the name though I had already told him it wasn't for delivery, as previously mentioned. He'd originally told me that if something came in the business name it would be refused since I don't have proof of business on file. Again, I had already told him the name wasn't for delivery. 3 days after the second notice was left in my box concerning the business name MY FEDEX PACKAGE WAS REFUSED by him or his colleague. That package was sent with my actual name on the label. The company sending it puts your user sign in name on side your actual name, in parentheses, on the label for making sure label matches shipment. I wonder if my package was refused for such a silly reason though my actual name, the name on my PO BOX account, was on the label? What if "happybirthday" was in parentheses as my sign in name, would that also have been confused as a business name and the package thus refused, in spite of my actual name being on the label? I discovered my package refusal on a Saturday and thus went to the post office to inquire of the matter. The clerk said no packages are ever refused though the male clerk who, by the way, is the manager, had said otherwise. I will soon get a private mailbox in Shelter Island and close this headache.
