The gift shop wasn’t anything spectacular but the International Cottages are a must-see while you’re in SD! Open on Saturdays and Sundays, definitely put this on your ‘to do’ list!

Very interesting and educational space. The layout is nice. However the name itself is a misnomer. There are NO, not a single one, African countries represented. This was a huge let as the name suggests that this is am international space. I understand that there are a limited number of houses /huts/buildings but to not even have one country from an entire continent was sad.

they have random international banknotes for sale as souvenirs. I bought a 5 bolivar venezuelan note for 95 cents and laughed at the insane markup that technically is.

Standard, quaint tourist shop with various souvenirs from around the world. Pricing is competitive. Comprehensive offering of popular bumper stickers. Some clothing goods and books available. Some candy and snacks as well. Great for tourists who visit Balboa Park and want a cute reminder.Not much else to the place as the size is small and purpose is focused.Staff was friendly.

Great little treasure hidden away in Balboa Park near the International Houses that are only open on weekends. Very friendly and helpful stalk and an very nice selection of gift and souvenir items from around the world.
