Got a call saying they had to cancel my appointment today because the doctor simply did not show up to the clinic. This appointment was hard to make and I waited 3 weeks for it, only for it to get pushed back another week. Not pleased with the level of professionalism

I’m convinced UCSD cannot hire any qualified people. From misdiagnoses to down right being unethical, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

aweful scheduling. aweful billing. the dsyfinction in referrals is appalling even for typical healthcare beurocracy. the idiotic responses from the patient experience folks is more insulting. they have no power and do nothing about expressed concerns. even they must know their job is a joke. has anyone ever felt better after talling to one of these people who are entirely non clinical. que ridiculo. the wait time for appts is unacceptable.

This is for Dr. Divya K. Reddy. I went there for an infection, and after multiple tests she just tells me"must be your medication causing symptoms" now, almost 7 years later I went to get myself checkout elsewhere and found out I actually have an infection, and my symptoms are not medication related.

This is the best care team I have ever had. Dr. MacMillen listens to her patients and not discount how they feel. I am so happy to have her.

All my experiences with UCSD have been horrible. I waited for more than 2 months for my appointment. When I arrived the main door, which is automatic, was not working. It took me a few minutes figuring it out, making me exactly 5 minutes late, not exaggerating. When I checked in that told me they wouldn't received me or reschedule me because I was 5 min late and they "didn't have a late policy" whatever that means. They wouldn't reschedule me, they didn't try absolutely anything. I just needed a prescription and my appointment wouldn't even take too long.Don't fall for UCSD institutions thinking that they are better. Since they are salary paid, they do not care at all for the patients.

DO NOT GO HERE! I've never had worse care and I have multiple chronic illnesses so I've seen my fair share of doctors. One doctor here told me that I needed to focus on getting a boyfriend if I wanted to help my health (Dr. Kobongo), Dr. Hatamy was rude, unhelpful, and it took him FORTY-FIVE MINUTES to find my cervix when replacing my IUD (a procedure that should have taken 5 minutes), making it incredibly painful. And now I'm stuck with Dr. Sivakumar. He's completely useless. He messes up every single referral. He's sent my wheelchair referral to the wrong company 4 times in a row, has said a case worker and another staff member would be in touch to help with things and I've never heard from them. Anything I've needed from him I've had to ask, message, call, do whatever I can to get in touch with him over and over again until I get a response, and normally the response doesn't have any info I actually need in it. He really seems to have no idea what he's doing. The staff are beyond rude and don't seem to communicate with one another and each staff person has different "rules" for how to handle things which just makes getting care chaos. The only good staff member that ever existed at this office was Dr. Hadley. Best doctor I've had hands down. But he clearly had the sense to leave this terrible practice and went elsewhere. I would have followed him but I couldn't because of insurance. If you have ANY other choice for your primary care, I urge you to take it.

I schedule and appointment to see Dr. Seth Camhi for my annual physical and everything went great. This was my first time on site and seeing Dr. Camhi. I was able to fill out all of the paperwork online before my visit. The online process was easy and laid out simply to answer questions about current health and medical as well as family history. It was a bit of a maze to get from the underground parking to the office. I was surprised I had to pay a $4 parking fee but I guess that's California for you. The staff got me right in and the whole process took about an hour including have to go across to the other building to get blood drawn. The dr and the staff were very professional and nice. I felt relaxed the whole time and dr. Camhi took to time to go over the process, answer questions and even print me out a DMV form for EV decals. He was great! There is a cafe and deli on-site as well which is nice. Separate review for them.

Went to the doctor for strep throat was treated in the office for reasonable cost only to get a laboratory bill for all kinds of testing they ran for a completely different symptom. Billing company is very reasonable about getting back and is telling me I have to communicate directly with the doctor.

I don't know why they call it healthcare because these people don't care. I made an appointment for an annual exam and was patronized about my weight and treated like a degenerate. I'm like 5 pounds underweight and definitely look healthy. The doctor accused me for a solid ten minutes of having an eating disorder. Every time I go, they make it a point to go over my life's story...stuff from like 20 years ago. Stop wasting everyones time! That information clearly hasn't changed and it's irrelevant. Then, I got charged $120 for a pregnancy test. This place is unbelievable. The doctor told me that he would notify me if anything we were doing was stepping outside of what was covered. Clearly a lie. Just one more reason the system is flawed. I realize you have to make outrageous claims just to turn a dime, but this charge is erroneous and your staff sucks. You want to make money? Tell your doctors to read their charts so we don't have to review my entire history. I will never go to this facility or any other UCSD clinic. Maybe your staff should take a class on basic etiquette, because I think they would be better off driving semis than talking to people, let alone pretending to care for them. Good riddance.

Dr Suraj Achar has been my Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician for more than 10 years...and has helped, cured and advised me more than I could ever expect. He has been named "Physician of the Year" on numerous occasions...and for good reason. He is an invaluable asset to UCSD, his patients, his peers, the medical community and future physicians learning from him. Dr Achar is "As good as it gets!" And Thank you, Dr Achar!
