This place is the absolute best & you can feel it as soon as you walk in. I was looking for a new vet for my pittie & had been to others that just didn’t make me feel super comfortable. I’m so grateful I found Torrey Hills Pet Hospital. The girls in the front are always super sweet, helpful, & kind. Dr. Foltz is amazing. He takes his time, explains everything really well, gives options, and pricing is completely transparent. They are so warm & kind here. My dog actually enjoys coming here to see the team! Thank you TP Pet Hospital!

Been taking my Rottweiler here for a while now and we never had a negative experience. She has gotten multiple check ups, vaccines, and was also spayed here. Dr. Foltz and the staff are very friendly and take great care of my rottie.

Can’t say enough about this hospital!! We moved here from Connecticut and were looking to establish a relationship with a new vet to care for our babies - Dr. Foltz came highly recommended and has lived up to the reputation. We received a little hand written welcome card as new patients, and we just got a spay & teeth cleaning procedure done by them where they sent us home with a little “letter” in the perspective of our baby. They’ve been so great at helping us through allergies as well. Jade and her family can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of her ♡

I've taken my dog here only a few times and every single time my dog ended up hurt and in pain. My dog is now anxious at any vet's office because of these experiences. I decided to change vets after a routine check up left my poor dog pooping blood. I did not appreciate how the doctor seemed to force vaccines down my throat. I also did not appreciate that the doctor kept referring to my clearly boy dog as she and her.

Excellent level of care in the hands of a seasoned expert. We have a very anxious little dog who can be very difficult. Dr. Foltz and his team of techs have made our care for her much easier. Total trust.

Dr Foltz has been our Veterinary doctor to our 2 cats for over 2 years. We are very fortunate to have him care for them as he is highly knowledgeable, skilled and caring. We highly recommend him as he stands out above and beyond other Vets that we have ever experienced before!

Moving to a new city is always hard, especially when you are now responsible for finding new go-to restaurants, new hangout spots, and especially finding new doctors. But even harder, is finding someone to take care of your loved ones. Thankfully, I've found this gem. Since moving from LA, I've had the privilege of working with Dr. John Foltz with Kiba's care - and if you know me, you know I love my dog more than anything. And especially with everything that had happened in the past, trusting veterinarians is a bit difficult for me. Not only does his expertise shine, he also explaining everything in terms I would understand. He doesn't beat around the bush and tells it like it is, which is the same way I am with my own patients. Sometimes sugarcoating does nothing except make someone not take things seriously, so I appreciate every pieces of advice he's given me. No concern is considered small, and he'll explain everything you're worried about - all you have to do is ask. I recently had dental work done on him (literally yesterday) and I was so thankful with how he explained what needed to be done and how he would do it because it really made me feel like he did everything he could with Kiba's care. He recovered so nicely and already the next day seems back to normally, albeit I have to pull away all his harder chew toys from him for the next couple of weeks. My boyfriend and I also take our Belgian malinois, Aika, here as well. Although she may be scared, the staff does a great job with understanding her breed and reassuring her that she'll be fine. On top of that, the staff are wholehearted people and they truly love what they do. I haven't had a horrible experience yet. They all seem really experienced and always make us feel welcomed. And just so you know, I moved to Chula Vista and still insist on making the drive because I trust everyone there. Definitely a place you should go to if looking for a veterinarian office with people who will treat your dog just as their own.

I would highly recommend these folks. Dr Foltz preformed surgery on Rocky's eye. The outcome was immaculate and affordable. We can't express how thankful we are for the love and care Torrey Hills Pet Hospital gives our dogs.

Dr. Foltz saved our cat's life, no dramatizing here. His admin staff is outstanding as well in their knowledge and customer service. Yogi got very sick (unfortunately we waited too long), they could accommodate an appointment on the same day, came up with a treatment plan right away, and six months later Yogi is still alive, although she initially stopped eating, lost 4 pounds, and her kidney numbers were indicative of stage 4 disease. Dr. Foltz and his staff also communicate promptly and clearly via email and helped everytime with approving prescriptions without charging extra.

The office fit me in quickly even same day when I was concerned my dog could have a more serious issue so this was very helpful. Dr. Foltz was very kind and the office was upfront about any potential costs which I very much appreciate. We will continue to return for future needs.
