Please and please do yourself a favor. Reviews are there for a reason and I should have listened. They will take your shit even when you tell them on paper not to and turn around and try to offer u cents per lbs . How are they even allowed to be in business for this long stealing from people. And the customer service lady Patricia Montero will literally laugh at your complaints and fake promise calls. This is joke company. Run !!

SCAMMING COMPANY! STAY AWAY OF THEM! Don't ever use Move Central company! This company estimated my moving under 800$ for 1 bed 1 bath, and then without my consent took 2200$ from my back account including required 250$ deposit when I picked cash only as payment option. During several calls (which were recorded) company during estimation process said that there will be no extra charges for wrapping/packing materials. But in final statement they put over 1000$ total of swapping paper/boxes/bubble wrap etc. They damaged my bed, coffee table, patio chair and makeup vanity and estimated all these as 200$ worth of damage. And I need to fight them for that for many weeks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !

MOVERS STOLE MY PROPERTY! I received a phone call from their Corporate Office approx. one week after my initial move from my residence into their storage. They mentioned that one of the movers had been bragging about stealing my property. I filed a police report, as one of the stolen items was a firearm. Upon receipt of my property a few weeks later, I noticed a large amount of valuable items that had additionally been stolen. I also received a large amount of furniture that was damaged beyond repair - costing me thousands of dollars to replace. In total, I paid just over $4,700 for the move. The compensation they offered me was $1,200 for the damaged and stolen property. Unbelievable. Do not use this company if you want your property to remain in good condition (or if you want it anymore at all).

Do not use these movers!! To make a long story short, here it is in a nutshell: attempts to charge me $1100 over the cost of the move on the two cards I stupidly gave them to put a "hold" on, unanswered calls, rude operators, and, most charmingly, attempts at extortion while holding my things hostage. At both legs of the move, "the dispatch" overstated the hours the laborers worked and refused to have the truck leave until those hours were paid. At unloading, the movers refused to start unloading until they were paid upfront for 3.5 hours of labor. The unloading actually took 2 hours. No receipts are provided by the drivers when you pay in cash, by the way. I had to spend hours on the phone with both of the banks to reverse the charges. Absolute f__king nightmare.

I was overcharged for the service that was provided. They just left all my things wrapped up in the protective blankets and cellophane. I've never had movers just leave their things out of laziness before. If I wasn't watching they were taking smoke breaks multiple times (extra charges due to time). I requested a half truck, they brought a full truck even after I confirmed over the phone. (more extra charges). Regarding the overly expensive hourly rate I agreed upon this was my fault, but I should have known since the dispatcher on the phone hit all the touchpoints for being opportunistic. (quickly trying to close a deal, this deal wont last forever, don't check on other prices.) Do your due diligence check out their hourly rate. I guarantee you'll find cheaper prices elsewhere.

Terrible!!!!!!! Do not use! Scammers! Thieves! Rude! Unprofessional!! Liars !!! They will give you one quote and triple the quote while they are loading and expect you to pay. Then charge you for the time they are there without actually moving you. Worst company I have ever dealt with!!! Do not use then!!!!

These guys are SCAMMERS PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS its ALL TRUE!! Double charged me the movers took breaks and my daughter and I had to move the stuff ourselves at the end if not they would charge me more!! If I did not pay an extra $1200 they would not give us our stuff and put it in storage and we would pay more!! Stan from Move Central please spare your I am sorry act!! These guys are changing their name since they have too many negative reviews now!!! Let's all do a class action suit against these criminals taking advantage of us!!

If I can, 0 stars. Appointment is afternoon12-5 pm,morning 8 am call me say they need change my appointment 8am. Too rush to prepare everything, contact loading dock and everything ready, 10:30 start service. Mover nice, but not very skillful, even sofa hit the wall cause dented wall, I expected 4 hours could finish 1 bed apartment moving, actually done with 6,5 hours. The worst thing is: The company call me say total 9 hours, over charges me and didn't want hear my call, even the mover still there listening the call and proof of 6.5 hours total. They charged for credit card immediately and hang out my phone. Bad, bad, bad company. BEWARE !don't waste your money and time

I'll start with the good- Hector, Frank, and Carlos were very accommodating, polite, and friendly, when I ran into issues with my move. I felt like I was in good hands with them. My movers were also friendly, and both times arrived either early or on time. Aside from that, it was a terrible experience. When they called me to discuss my moving estimate, they failed to mention that they only accept physical cash for long distance moves. Which is extremely confusing, because they accept debit/credit cards for the deposit. There is very small misleading print on the estimate that states this, however, after rereading several times, it doesn't clearly indicate that they ONLY accept cash for the transportation. As a result, I had to jump through hoops to figure out how I was going to get $2000 in cash (on a holiday weekend, with no banks open) in order to have my stuff moved out of Los Angeles to the Bay Area. The movers broke a few things. I didn't mind that some of my dishes broke, because I wrapped and boxed them myself. However, I let them know ahead of time that I would need help unmounting my tv and soundbar, so they unmounted and packaged it. Not only did they break my tv (the screen was shattered so the screen was completely distorted), but they didn't mention it. Also, my soundbar never arrived! After following up, they said it they had it in LA and that I could get it back the next time they were scheduled to be back in Oakland. It's been over a month since I moved, and I still have no soundbar ($150 value). They did reimburse me for my TV, which was nice because technically they didn't have to. They're only liable to pay .60 cents per pound of your damaged/missing items (regardless of the monetary value), so be sure to get moving insurance! All in all, I paid Move Central over $4k to move a one-bed apartment from LA to Oakland. To say I regret it would be an understatement. Avoid this company!

ABSOLUTE CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION- EXTORTION SCAM. WE ARE LOOKING TO FILE POLICE REPORT FOR STOLEN ITEMS THEY ARE NOW RESELLING. WE WILL SUE THEM. Every item we had, was promised by Christian to fit into the truck. On the day of the move 10 items that cost at the least $6000 could not fit so we had to leave those behind. We even had to rent a U-HAUL truck to bring some items that could not fit and still had to leave those 10 items behind. They then drove off with the truck and proceeded to remove from it the MOST EXPENSIVE ITEMS into their warehouse and before beginning the x country move--such as a peloton bike, vasa trainer, weight set etc and said they were "too heavy" for the truck. They didn't inform us just had the truck show up x country without. Items are now back in their warehouse surely to be RESOLD for profit. THEY NEVER LET US KNOW ABOUT THIS. The items they removed also far exceeded the weight they claimed needed to be removed. Christian did a terrible job looking over the stuff we had and in the end had too small of a truck to fit everything which cost us items that were worth upwards of $10,000, I just named the worst of it. Here's more: The day of the move I expected them to arrive at 8 am to pick up the stuff and leave by 12 am. I call in and Jay tells me they would get there around 1 PM. Jay lies to me and these movers arrive at 5 pm (9 hours late). Apparently their truck didn't pass inspection and before that they were already running late. The rest of my family leaves for the road trip while I have to motivate these movers to get the stuff in as it is very late into the night. I did 75% of the work to say the least while the driver and 1 mover (the contract said there would be 3 movers) sat around lazily and carelessly putting things in the tiny truck. They put stuff in the truck in the least logical way possible. Yes again we had to leave multiple items. Since they leave so late I'm not able to get to the hotel in Las Vegas we booked and had planned for a very fun night with the family. Instead I sleep on a piece of cardboard. From there on Jay absolutely promises everything else goes very smoothly and we will be compensated for the missing items. As of right now we have not been compensated and are filing an insurance claim for these missing items. We are also filing a police report for items removed. Again during the trip we are driving as fast as possible back to the destination and especially myself because I was set back from day one to meet the expected arrival time which was June 26th in the afternoon. This driver drives the minimum he can. We are never informed that they are behind in the trip and we have to check in ourselves with the dispatcher. Since the driver had used all his driving hours they had to find a new driver which delayed the trip even more! The moving people ENDLESSLY DELAYED THE ARRIVAL TIME. The movers finally arrive on June 28th after 1 pm. It gets even crazier. They bring 2 people to help get things out of the truck and into the house, THE CONTRACT SAID 3! One of the movers tells us HECTOR told him we will pay him ourselves AND additionally HECTOR tries to ROB US OF an additional 1750 to close out the move which was not in the contract. We refused to pay this because there's nothing like this in the contract. HECTOR tells the mover TO LEAVE WITH OUR STUFF and call the police on us. The police arrive and we explain everything about this CRIMINAL COMPANY. The police agree with us and leave and we continue on with putting the stuff in the house. Since it is very late at night by now and this is the biggest mess I have ever had to deal with all our stuff is laid out in the wrong rooms, NOT EVEN PUT TOGETHER. YES AGAIN I HAVE TO DO MOST OF THE WORK PUTTING STUFF IN THE HOUSE. The people over the phone, Jay, Leo, victor and Vladimir. These people are complete CRIMINALS to say the least. Carlos and his team were amazing to work with! They showed up ready to roll, took our entire 2 bed apartment and many many boxes, and packed it up quickly and safely. They were so kind and laid back, very trustworthy and easy to talk with. I cannot recommend them more!
