I've stayed hundreds of nights in Marriott properties. Seriously starting to reconsider it. Mandatory property fee which includes free beer but the bar (including room service) closes before midnight. On a Saturday. Get hung up on by room service. You get the idea. Also no coffee lids in the room, AC is either lava or the Arctic. Pillows we're huge with no give whatsoever. Normally they'd have multiple types of pillows if they were going to go so extreme. In the coffee shop you're kind of forced to go to, since the forced $25 fee gives you $8 towards it, you have to toast your own bagel. I normally wouldn't care, but again, they force you to go if you want to reclaim any $$ from the forced fee....

No coffee until 6 am! No newspaper or anything to read in the morning. I walked among homeless and construction while smelling pissed-on concrete until Dunkin Donuts opened at 5 am.Early risers, stay away.

This hotel was nice♥️ It's just 15 minutes away from San Diego international airport, it's so convenient place. But atound the hotel was quiet. We used Uber to get there, it costed around $20. There was Panera bread in front of the hotel. I will be back soon!!

My recent stay at the Westin Gaslamp in San Diego was nothing short of stellar. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service and prime location set the tone for an unforgettable experience.A special shout-out to Nate, the Beverage Manager, whose expertly curated selection of wines and local microbreweries truly showcased the best of San Diego’s vibrant beverage scene. Nate’s passion and knowledge were evident in every recommendation, making each evening a delightful adventure in taste. At the Bronze Bird, the hotel’s lobby restaurant, Juan provided service that was both excellent and sincere. His genuine care for our dining experience made every meal memorable, and his attention to detail was impeccable. Juan’s warmth and professionalism added a personal touch that enhanced our overall stay.A heartfelt thanks to Criselda from housekeeping, who ensured our room was always pristine and well-stocked with all the amenities we could need. Her dedication to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. The Westin Gaslamp’s excellent location and superb hosts make it a top choice for anyone visiting San Diego. With such outstanding staff and accommodations, we will definitely be back.Thank you, Westin Gaslamp, for an unforgettable stay!Walkability: Center of all things yummy and fun.Food & drinks: Great beer and wine selection. Their restaurant the Bronze Bird also dishes out great food.

Pretty decent Westin, but it’s showing its age. Rooms are old but clean. Gym is in desperate need of updating and had a lot of missing or broken equipment. Location is great.

The room is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. I especially enjoyed the beautiful city views out the window and I had the best night of sleep on my trip at this hotel. The front desk and concierge service is amazingly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay in San Diego!

The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is a great hotel close to everything downtown. The only negative review I have is not of the hotel, but of the location - specifically the area between the hotel and the seaside. You should take care when on foot in this area. This hotel and conference center itself is very clean, the people are absolutely friendly and professional, and the hotel has great amenities. The only problem I noticed is that the treadmills are a bit worn. But I had no bad experience with any hotel amenities.Nearby activities: There are so many great restaurants within walking distance, that you may have difficulty eating at all the places you would like to. It is also a short walk to the ocean, and some beautiful parts of San Diego.

Holy Guacamole!!! This place is the best! I travel 160 days a year The rooms are clean spacious and the staff is Professional Friendly and beyond accommodating! The location is perfect. NOW let’s talk about the in house restaurant The Bronze Bird “Hello!!!” I rarely eat in hotels This Place is a Great Restaurant inside a Hotel. The food is amazing and the staff is fabulous. We had an appetizer feast and OMG try the Brussel Sprouts, the Shishito Peppers, the Empanadas and Taquito’s. Javier was the friendliest waiter and great representative of this top shelf restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the food it was plated very well. A first in one of my reviews #1 Robert the Manager of Bronze Bird was a Gentleman and appears to be a wonderful leader.Back to the hotel they also have a great bar. This is the place to stay in the Gaslight District.Food & drinks: You have to eat in the Bronze Bird.Noteworthy details: Professional warm and sincere people.

I recently attended a conference the American Bar Association at this property. The location was perfect and rooms very clean and comfortable. What sets this property apart is the amazing service! From the friendly welcome by the valets and registration desk professionals, to the amazing housekeeping staff who went above and beyond to make my room even more comfortable, to the smiling and friendly cafe and restaurant staff, and of course the catering folks for the conference ... all in all a very impressive experience.Shout out to one of the managers, Cynthia, who is obviously a great leader.

Great rooms and great staff! Loved staying here for a work thing and loved getting to use the amenities. Only thing that may be improved is that I couldn’t find any spray or wipes in the gym to wipe down equipment before or after use :/Rooms: Rooms are nicely put together and some have great viewsWalkability: It’s super easy to get most places downtown on foot or by transit. It’s also super easy to run to the waterfront and continue runs on the trail.
