Nice art museum, a bit on the smaller side but with a good collection

The entire Balboa Park experience is a great one. Multiple museums means there's something for everyone. The staff at the museum of art were super helpful and friendly and hosted a short tour to set the tone. A great day!
Located in the heart of Balboa Park, The San Diego Museum of Art is the region’s largest and most attended art museum. The museum’s nationally renowned art collection includes Spanish and Italian old masters; South Asian manuscript illustrations, including the Edwin Binney 3rd Collection of Indian paintings; and 19th and 20th century American paintings and sculptures. At The San Diego Museum of Art, exhibition text is always in English and Spanish. The museum regularly features major exhibitions from around the world, bringing new works of art to San Diego, and shares its holdings and exhibitions with audiences around the globe. The Museum hosts an extensive year-round schedule of cultural and educational programs for children and adults.
