I love this little market and they have everything from celery to smoked albacore tuna carpaccio. I like the veggies that you can take home and cook. They have everything Italian, it's so much fun! They also have my favorite risotto!!

This market was pretty empty when I arrived around 10am.They were making salads and wraps to put in the chilled glass cabinets. I ordered a BLTA with avocado and the lady making it walks into the produce section and grabs a tomato and an avocado from the veggie bins so you know it's freshly made. Don't be in a hurry because this takes 15 minutes for her to make it. It was a bit dry for my taste but it was delicious. They had 5 different bagel flavors and I went with the jalapeño cheddar bagel. I will come back again for this sandwich but next time I will ask for Mayo or maybe some cream cheese. While I was waiting they brought out some wraps for their inventory chilled cabinets. One was a chicken Caesar and the other was called a black and blue. I asked for the black and blue and loved it. It was chopped filet mignon, tomatoes, blue cheese, onions and arugula. It was pretty heavy and so convenient to grab and go. I loved the black and blue string bold flavors but it has a tad too much arugula for me. I ate it for lunch and was super full. I will be back again for sure. I will try the Caesar wrap next. This is inside an Italian specialty market on the right hand side of the building. Lots of pastas, breads, steaks, ice creams, cookies, veggies, etc to shop for in this combined market. No parking spaces available out front as usual in Little Italy.

I really like the prosciutto here. Unlike most places that usually carry prosciutto di Parma, this place has prosciutto from San Danielle which is more subtle and sweet in flavor compared to di Parma which is a lot more salty. The way they cut the prosciutto in to very thin slices and layer them in sheet is also a nice plus. They also carry truffle butter and pistachio butter which are both super delicious!! Highly recommend this place!

An excellent selection of barrel aged vinegars and cured meats. They are one of few grocers in the area that offer smoked cured meats and it is worth adding to your appetizer list when having company.

ITALIAN INGREDIENTS!!! Making my very own homemade Squid Ink pasta - from scratch and needed the main ingredient. I was tipped off by another Italian market that this place might have Squid Ink/Cuttlefish Ink. Indeed they do! I scored a very small jar for $18.99 (so expensive) but that small jar goes a long way. They have all the typical items you see at the other markets on the block but this one sells Squid Ink! FYI, once open needs to be refrigerated for a few weeks before going bad. However, you CAN freeze it to preserve it longer. And only scoop out what you need when needed. I've been making my own fresh pasta noodles for 4+ years and cannot go back to store bought. It just had to be as fresh as possible. I been wanting to make my own homemade Squid Ink noodles and wanted to do the right research and secure the quality ingredients for such the occasion. Why buy it, why not make my own!Because of this place... I was able to make one of the best meals I've made with my own two hands. MY HOMEMADE: "Fresh Squid Ink Fettuccini with steamed King Crab meat in a garlic butter sauce garnished with fresh oregano leaves and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice"- Squid Ink (HERE!!!)- King Crab (Costco)- Flour (Ralphs)- Fresh Farm eggs (farmers market)- Garlic (farmers market)- Lemon (farmers market)- fresh oregano leaves (farmers market)- butter (Trader Joes)

I love the concept- an italian bodega in littleItaly?! It’s like heaven to me! That said, I was in an elated mood until I paid for my juice (quite good btw). The cashier was pretty rude for no apparent reason, hence dropping my five starts down to two.

Really convenient shop and always friendly staff. Interesting for cooking an entire meal or just picking up an imported treat.
