I was excited to check this place out and unfortunately very disappointed ? They have some nice things but the prices for what you get were astronomical. Everything in the store seemed overpriced, not just a few select items that may be in better condition or be exceptionally unique. A long sleeve shirt $250...a basic dress $350...cute simple earrings $55 etc. I shop designers who sell $800+ pieces but the quality and uniqueness warrant that kind of price. There was also almost an entire wall of items on hangers roped off "Do not touch, ask for help" and I just couldn't see myself asking the only associate running the store to move 35+ items on hangers, one at a time, so I could actually shop the selection, that is terribly inconvenient. I am so sad this place didn't work out because it had so much potential.

Incredible selection, higher price but worth it for the curation and pristine items. Owner was incredibly friendly and helpful!

Amazing dresses and even better customer service. My girlfriend was looking for a 1940’s dress and found the perfect one there at a reasonable price. They have a great selection of quality dresses from all eras!!!! We are definitely coming back soon! We also did not have an issue with the “handling” of the dresses. She was able to try on multiple “fragile” dresses with no issue.

An excellent small business that offers a great range of curated vintage pieces. The items are in superb condition for their age and I’ve been able to find some stunning 40s and 50s ties here! The owners are highly knowledgeable and love filling you in on all the cool little details that just aren’t seen in modern clothing anymore.

Ill mannered and rude owner. Went to the store where the male owner proceeded to tell me that they don't carry items to fit a 50 inch waist in front of other shoppers. Some were male who proceeded to laugh. He is rude and crude. All I asked was if the carried Hawaiiana in plus size. Yes, I'm am over weight but there is no need for that kind of rudeness. I drove all the way from Los Angeles to San Diego to see this small shop with okay items. The jewelry and accessories seem picked through like the lady owners left overs. I frequent vintage shops and but have never encountered an ill- mannered individual like him. My friend bought two pairs of earrings which broke after a few used and one in the bag after buying a pair of red yellow resin ball earrings

Beautiful selection of clothes, however I am a woman who is of size L-XL and just enjoys fashion in general. I asked to look at the more fragile pieces in the back and one of the store workers said (I’m paraphrasing) “well you’re only going to find small sizes here”. I was turned off after that. I came here because I missed it on my last trip and I won’t ever go back. Additionally I told some workers at Part Time Lover because I was that upset, and they shared a story where the same person I assume gave them attitude and sass as well.

The MOST AMAZING selection of authentic vintage clothes, shoes, hats, and jewelry I have seen in San Diego! Incredible quality items! The shop owner travels all over the US to get the inventory. It literally took my breath away when I went inside! This ain't no thrift store, this is the real deal.

Sheeeesh! The prices are steep but you certainly are guaranteed to get what you paid for. I have never and I mean NEVER come across a retail space with so much authentic vintage clothing in such pristine condition. Everything was very well organized and curated. The owner was welcoming and thanked us for stopping in even though we left without any treasures. I think the bad reviews are from people that are used to getting lucky thrifting and expect similar prices. This man has literally taken all the work out for you. You can find absolutely anything your heart desires for any vintage look you are going for. Gloves, cardigans, kitten heels, Bakelite you name it he had multiple options for you. You can't put a price on the timeless hours he has probably spent over the years collecting pieces of such wonderful quality. I applaud it. Thank you for the magical experience you've created within your doors. Fab music too!

Pricey, but you get high quality, vintage clothing for that price. They have a great selection and my wife loved spending time there going through everything.

Cute place but, the customer service is what made it terrible. My friend and I went inside and were not greeted despite us being the only ones in the store. They had really cute and unique pieces but we felt as if we were not welcomed in there, not to mention the astronomical pricing. First and last time going in there!

DO NOT SHOP HERE! The absolute worst customer service. Incredibly rude. Was looking at an item in my hand and the lady said if you break it you buy. Well I guess my money doesn't work here. 0/10

Beautiful clothes and jewelry - definitely some classic vintage pieces. My only riff is that upon walking in, it smells very dank, and the man working was speaking with a few friends when we walked in and hardly welcomed us, but then proceeded to tell myself and my friend to not touch the clothes a certain way (I was looking through the racks like a normal person- pushing aside a hanger to see whats behind it) which rubbed me the wrong way. No one is going to want to shop here if you gatekeep how people can touch the clothing on your racks. Like they have a fragile section that you can't touch for this reason. That being said, they have a great selection but would be surprised if they even made a sale this month considering their insane marked up prices, lack of hospitality, and the persistent monitoring of your shopping habits. I love to support local shops but would never shop here again.

The best quality vintage on the west coast. Beautifully curated, with an incredible selection, I've been to vintage stores all over and not one has made me so delighted as TGCHI. Do not miss out.
