We have worked with Kim multiple times over the years for both home purchase loans and refinances, having been originally recommended to her by our real estate agent Lauren Empey (also a dream!). We were home shopping in early summer, when rates just started increasing and the market was very volatile. Kim made herself constantly available to us, going so far as to give me the rates each day while she was on vacation as the large fluctuations really made such a difference in what size loan we could afford.Once we entered escrow, Kim made the loan process and approvals so easy. On top of being easy to work with, she also was able to give us the best rates around. I have recommended Kim to my closest friends (and even my manager), and they also had great experiences with her. We are hoping rates go down in the coming years, and will trust Kim to help us refi if it makes sense for me. For now, we’re just happy to be locked in at our current rate!

We worked with Kim throughout the home buying process, and she helped add an element of comfort and control to the chaos that is SoCal real estate! She was available for random questions at all hours, explained different strategies regarding financing the purchase, and was always willing to have some back-and-forth conversations on decisions. She also gave very realistic estimates when we asked about different offers we were considering making. She advocated for us at each step, and I truly feel she has her clients’ best interests in mind. We will be going back to her when we refinance, and again if/when we want to buy a new property.

Kim Carlson helped us with our first VA home loan. She was an absolute rockstar and was on top of everything every step of the way. I would describe her style as responsive, creative, fast paced, detail oriented, and fun. This is a tough market for buyers, especially VA buyers, but I was able to rely on Kim to figure out solutions and drive the process forward. It was a pleasure working with Kim Carlson and her team. Some of her website's tools made uploading information a breeze. Absolutely no reservations to recommend this group and Kim specifically. It had been years since I had applied for a mortgage and never for a ReFi. However, my existing rate was no longer acceptable to me . We dropped more than a point and a half. Kim stayed in touch frequently and without prompting. She did it generally via non-obtrusive text as was my preference. All steps were announced in advance. I was the third member of my family to finance through this group and each highly recommends the firm and Kim in particular. BTW .....Kim has a wonderful light personality and is not only professional but fun to work with over the process.

We just closed on a refi and I cannot say enough positive and amazing things about Kim. Following a rough go through with a big bank, we were referred to Kim from a friend. Her support, customer service and help were incredible. She provided the exact opposite of our initial experience with the big bank and I could not be more grateful that we were able to work with her. We have used Carlson lending team for our last 2 home loans and last 3 refinances. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Kim works very hard to make sure our loan is the best possible option and she’s always looking for ways to save us money. She keeps in constant communication throughout the loan process so there are never any surprises. It’s very comforting to know she’s looking out for us and we can trust her completely.
