I have been going to Angela to get my hair done for years, she always does a fantastic job and really listens to what you want. She does the most amazing job with blending my dark hair into blond, and I'd highly recommend her for any balayage services. I've moved around a lot in the last few years and gone to a couple different hairstylists, but I always come back to Angela because she just does the best job. It's gotten to the point where I wait to get my hair done until I come back to San Diego, can't recommend her enough!

Angela is absolutely incredible and one of the most talented colorists I've ever seen. It took two+ years of searching to find someone in San Diego I trusted enough to book an appointment for balayage after moving down from LA, but after seeing her amazing work on here and on IG, I finally pulled the trigger. Her studio is beautiful and if you don't fall in love with her ridiculously cute dogs immediately there might be something wrong with you. But most importantly she makes sure that you walk out of there feeling like the absolute best version of yourself. So grateful I found her, and can't wait to get back there once lockdown is lifted!

Not sure where to begin.. I did the worst thing anyone can do and I tried bleaching my own hair. Of course it came out horrible so I reached out to Angela and she booked me right away! I really needed a miracle and in literally 40 mins, I was color corrected and blow dried! She was super honest with me and didn't want to do too much color since my hair was so damage. She advised me to let my hair relax and heal before coming back! I would highly suggest anyone who is scared of seeing someone new to put all your trust in this woman. You can just see for yourself the before and after. You won't leave disappointed.

Angela is a miracle worker! Not only did she blend in the color exactly how I liked it, she lightened my hair without damage! My hair did not feel as dry and tangly as it usually was with my old hair lady. This was my time with Angela and I'll be going back to her going forward. She is a little pricier than I'm used to but worth the cost.

Angela is truly incredible at what she does! I love the A list treatment, from start to finish. My hair has bounced back to life after going to another salon where they fried it and didn't even give me the look I wanted. Angela is the ONLY person I will ever trust with my hair. I can't say enough about how talented she is; honestly. My hair is long, thriving and oh so soft! Thanks to her. And she has also become a dear friend. Angela is the sweetest and coolest Person. Angela is a professional and knows a lot about color. My hair was well taken care of and the results are gorgeous! Her private loft in downtown is lovely as well .She is extremely thorough in creating the ultimate look... I love my new balayage and hair cut , I am a client for life !

Angela is a mad scientist, hair magician! She saved me from a dye job gone wrong and my hair continues to just get more and more beautiful. She only does what's needed during maintenance appointments and works endlessly to add dimension and color when she does full balayages. I also absolutely love her haircuts.

Great experience at The Balayage Studio! Angela was incredibly friendly and so talented! I absolutely love my new color. I came to her with a horrible balayage job from a different salon and she corrected the color beautifully. I left feeling more confident and like my old self again. So grateful for her hard work! (Side note: Her business is in great location! It was only a 12 minute drive from East Lake.) Highly recommend!! :)

I met Angela more than a year ago living at the IDEA 1 building; I loved her energy, but wasn't ready to jump into the world of balayage. After going through a divorce, Angela gave me a new lease on life, and a new confidence that had been lying dormant. She took my virgin, (hadn't been cut in 9 months) dark blonde hair to a natural sun-kissed blonde. Seven months later, after a horrible hair decision, I called Angela again. Unfortunately she had to correct a bad color and cut. Angela is TRULY a genius.....I love her vision for my hair, and don't feel the need to guide her. She is so genuine, on point with her craft and fills me with positive energy and love! I have a third appointment set up for my daughter and myself. I know for sure that it's an investment in time and myself well worth it. Angela uses Olaplex and Color Proof Shampoo and Conditioner, which keeps my hair feeling silky and smooth.

Updating my review since the owner said I was lying about what she charged me instead of apologizing, explaining why, or offering an apology and a partial refund. Here is a screenshot from my credit card... $793.50. At the time I was in such shock that I had no idea what to do, I didn't want to get in trouble for not paying. I had been there for hours and just wanted to leave and cry. There was no option to not leave a tip when she handed me the total so this includes a tip. I will never make the mistake of not asking the price before I sit down to get my hair done, I am still completely embarrassed that I paid that much and still feel like I was completely taken advantage of.

Angela has been doing hair for my close friends and family for quite some time now and every time the results are STUNNING. She recently did my girlfriend's hair and the transformation is astounding. She loves what she does and it is clearly seen through her work. She is very talented and worth every penny!

4 years and 3 studios later, Angela just can't shake me as a client! I wouldn't go to anyone else. I moved back to San Diego, after living in LA for several years, and needed to find a new stylist for my hair. I tried Angela, along with 3-4 other people. The clear winner was Angela and I've been going to her ever since. She's a master at her craft, to the point where I don't even ask her what we're doing with my hair when I go in - I just sit back, relax and let her do her thing. My hair looks fantastic and I can't tell you how many copliments I get on it. I have long hair, brownish/blond that gets treated with her Balayage skills. I like it to look natural, without being boring. I'm a mom, and a corporate professional but still want to look current and like my hair is up-to-date. More than a stylist, Ang (as I call her) has also become a friend. I look forward to seeing her and it's a nice break away from work and my 3 year old! Highly recommend Angela to anyone looking for a high calibre hair stylist, one who will give you the best color for your complexion and cut to suite your features. It's hair therapy!

I just moved to San Diego and needed to find a new stylist. A friend recommended me to Angela for color, but she ended up going both my cut and color. She did a great job and helped me with my specific hair issues. I got tons of compliments too

Angela is an artist!! I was new to the San Diego and took a chance going to Angela after reading great reviews on Yelp. I've been seeing her for almost a year and couldn't be happier. I am naturally a brunette and prefer to be blonde. She colors my hair so that it grows out and looks really natural. I love love love her hair extensions and hair cuts perfectly complement the extensions. I would highly recommend her!!
