SCAMMERS and THIEVES, the whole company. Finally got rid of the TV that was "only $20" when I signed up. Fast forward to the present, not only has the price doubled, but they've added more surcharges related to the TV service so now the service cost over $65 in total. They've now made almost $400 off of me just on TV service alone that should have cost $100. Don't get sucked into their "deals" that they only give you so they can charge you more surcharges then boost the price up 6 months later. Then when you go to cancel, they'll tell you they don't prorate and you just lose the rest of the time on the cycle and get nothing for what you paid for. And it's all legal for them to do and yes they are doing it. Corporate Greed at it's finest!

Review is for customer service received at the Mira Mesa Spectrum location. My one-star rating is based solely on my interaction with the FIRST sales rep that I encountered. The SECOND rep was wonderfully helpful, five stars for him) ***AVOID SONYA AT ALL COSTS.*** (or Sonia, spelling?) Short version: I went to this location to switch our mobile service from AT&T to Spectrum, wanting to keep our current phones and phone numbers. Sonya told us that our phones weren't compatible with the switch and immediately started selling us on trading in our phones to buy new ones from Spectrum. We left. I checked Spectrums' website, entered our IMEI #s, and learned that BOTH phones were, in fact, compatible. Went back to Spectrum and spoke with a helpful young man (because Sonya was on break. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name). "Miraculously," we were able to switch our phones to Spectrum with NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE. Left within 15 mins. Long version: Sonya tells us our phones aren't compatible. I began asking questions, trying to learn exactly "what" about our phones wasn't "compatible" with switching (is this something I need to take up with AT&T? Is it because of the model of the phone? How old they are? (They're not old, btw)....ETC). She could not provide any answers or even make a guess based on her previous experiences. There was no effort on her part to try and explain possible reasons why our phones weren't compatible, and she kept bringing up trade-in options, telling us how much money we would "still be saving." I politely, but assertively, told her we were not interested in trade-in options until we finished exploring why our phones wouldn't work. After AGAIN getting my questions brushed over, we left the store. I went to Spectrums' website, where I learned the truth. By the time we had returned, Sonya was, luckily, on a break, and a nice young man helped us. I told him what I found on the website, and he offered to look further into it. He could not seem to find any reason why our phones would have shown "non-compatible" in the first place. He helped us through the transfer with NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE. Sonya had returned from her break by the time we were getting our phones powered back on. She asked us if we had to get AT&T to do something to our phones to make them compatible. I told her, "No, they didn't need to do anything." And I watched her attempt to bring her best "surprised" customer-service expression to her face, as I looked to the young man and thanked him very much for his help. I wanted so badly to warn the woman that I saw Sonya helping as we were walking out. I understand the company has protocols on how to upsell customers, and I understand the sales reps work for commission. What I do not understand, and what I am not happy about, is the BLATANT LIE that Sonya told us in order to make her commission. But hopefully, saying something here will help prevent someone else from getting scammed by Sonya. I have no review about the Spectrum mobile service itself, as I have just transferred today. I wish I remembered the young man's name that helped us. He was excellent!

Recently my partner experienced a broken phone situation. Associates Carlo and Jose helped her get the ball rolling in a timely manner. Carlo helped with expediting the previous phone and transferring to an upgraded new phone. The ball was then passed to Jose and he helped with the setup and transfer of data. Both did a great job to remedy her dilemma. Thanks for being there guys!!

I used spectrum internet service for 2 years and work from home. Not once did my speed ever hit the amount I was paying for (500mbs). At the time of my service cancellation due to relocation they do not prorate service so I had to choose between paying a full month for only a few days of service usage or terminating my service early and not having internet for the last week of my residence. I also experienced frequent service interruptions almost on a daily basis during my contracted time.

I was a Spectrum customer for over 15 years. So long, in fact, that cable modems were not a thing when I signed up. Now here we are in 2023 and I'm getting bills that go up every single month. Don't know about anyone else, but with the insane inflation, something has to give. Turns out that T-Mobile is in the home internet game now, and around 1/3 the price of Spectrum. I tried out the equipment and it worked well. Easy-peasy. When I turn to Spectrum to say goodbye, all the sudden, they have seemly magical deals! Oh I'm sorry you're leaving but we can match the price! PLEASE DON"T LEAVE ME!!! Where were these magical prices when I wasn't calling? Why am I a wonderful handsome smart customer now when I was I a nerd five minutes ago? Am I going to decide to stay because Spectrum has suddenly decided to layoff on the abuse (for 12 months, but we promise if you call again we'll work something out)? Yeah, no. I woke up with some self-respect this morning. Look, Spectrum, it's not you, it's me. Oh wait, no, it's totally you. You got caught diddling my wallet while I wasn't looking and now you're acting all super sweet like you're not just going to follow your wandering eye right back to my checkbook when I feel secure in the relationship again. Spectrum, maybe see a therapist instead of a capitalist, and learn that the key to lasting relationships is being vulnerable about what you can offer all the time, instead of when you're caught being naughty.

Never in my life have I interacted with such rude customer service worker like the one I’ve encountered in June of 2023. Spectrum you need to do better. I walk in there and he is speaking to me like he works there (he wasn’t working that day) and when I ask his name he says “none of your business “, then why are you middling in my business? Thought it was a 40 year lesbian lady but no it was a 50 year British man. Typical

*WARNING* do not put money on your spectrum account. I put 150 dollars on mine and it mysteriously went missing a month ago and the workers sat there and pretended like they didn’t know what happened.

Highly recommend this location. Staff is excellent. I received help from this location some 3 months back. Easy location. There is a waiting queue that you sign in and then wait in their spacious lobby with many seating. Once called I was assisted well. Made to feel that what I said mattered and all concerns were met. Wish I remembered the young man who helped me. He had thorough knowledge of spectrum products and was able to convey clearly how to use.
