Specialty Produce is a family owned and operated fresh produce supplier in San Diego, a premium provider for more than thirty years. It is a fabulous place and a foodie paradise, like a warehouse where all the top restaurants shop. The facility is impressive, with very kind employees who are super nice, helpful, attentive, and friendly. They offer amazing produce, high quality and top notch items, with very kind of wild exotic fruit and treasures not seen at normal grocery stores. The products are fresher. However, the prices are a little high. It is important to be aware of whether what you are buying is in season, as some items like hothouse tomatoes can be a disappointment in flavor and texture. The location is primarily for restaurants, so curbside customer loading could be improved. Visitors must sign in and wear gloves, and should bring a jacket because it gets very cold inside. This fun place is highly recommended as the best grocery and produce store in San Diego.
Speacialty produce was nice. It was freezing in there and i wasnt dressed appropriately. They had a sign that read 'Welcome to Siberia'. I bought a few varieties of heirloom tomatoes..and that was the best part of my day. The bathroom was basic but clean.

Best produce and dope artisianal grocer, I was so close to buying habanero kraut today but I held myself back. Has really improved over the years. Great jam and cured meat selection.
