Probably the most honest transmission shop you will find. 2 other places said I needed a transmission and Omar figured I didn't need one. Thank you for your help getting my Benz back on the road and not trying to shove a transmission down my throat. You guys rock

Dropped off my transmission for work and was given a referral out to another shop that was more familiar with my gearbox. It was very appreciated to not have a business take payment for something they could not guarantee. This kind of honesty immediately builds trust, something that is typically hard for me (see my previous transmission shop review) as I perform most repairs and maintenance on my own vehicles. Go to Soto’s if you want it done right!

Outstanding. Price and service were great. Six months later and the used transmission they installed in our Suburban is running like a champ.

Awesome service, excellent customer service. Loved the amount of time taken to explain the problem, the cause, the options. The amount of time given for repair was in point and the car runs like new.Thank you so much

Staff at Soto's are legit! They took my car at the scheduled time and provided a lot of insight into maintaining my tranny. I'll be continuing to bring my vehicles here for a long time!

My Dad had the Transmission Rebuilt here, it was around 2017/ 2018, it was for a 2004 Cadillac SRX with AWD. Today 2023 i was Working on the Vehicle when i discovered there was a MISSING BOLT! AND it's one of the more important bolts! (that bolts the tranmission housing to the engine.) ...its important I want to add a little more detail- I was installing an OEM Factory Service tool...."Flywheel holding tool". I was replacing the Crankshaft Seal on the front engine cover. it requres the removal of the Harmonic Balancer. The OEM tool bolts Directly onto the transmission housing itself, (using the bolts that bolt the transmission and engine together). this tool engauges the Flywheel Teeth through a tranmission access port (at the bottom of the tranmission housing). this tool makes it easier for technicians to service the vehicle, without needing to remove the Starter motor in order to install a flywheel holding tool (in its place). ::side note:: I like Cadillac because there are many simiar features that stand out, the engineers really thought it out. so anyways, There are two extra long bolt that are supposed to be installed at the bottom threads of the transmission housing. they are extra long in order to accomidate the installation of the OEM Factory Service Tool. (which was very expensive, mind you! it cost me $200 used). this is a Project Vehicle that i want to LEARN with and build Valuable hands on experince. so back to my story, 1. one of the extra long bolts was installed in the inappropiate location. 2. Two of the normal length bolts were installed in the location where the longer bolts were supposed to be installed. (to accomidate the tool) in all reality, It was no big deal! (I'd just switch around the bolts; problem solved) ....but that was when I Discovered a MISSING BOLT! I was looking around for the other extra long bolt..... when i noticed the missing bolt (at the top of the Transmission housing). To make things more presumptious: questioning the mechanics credibility, the missing bolt was at a "close ended Thread hole" (Meaning, the extra long bolt would not fit there, only the shorter bolt would fit) .....an open ended Tread hole would allow the longer bolt to pass through. In conclusion, I didn't find the Extra long Bolt, it was missing! The other extra long bolt was installed in the wrong location. Two of the short bolts were installed where the extra long bolts were supposed to be. AND again, there is a bolt MISSING. Im guessing the automotive technician that worked on my vehicle ended his service with an extra long bolt that he didn't know what to do with, I'm guessing he focused his frustration on disatisfaction with the way automotive manufactureres design their cars. its a common mentality that exists within the world of automotive technicians. stupid this stupid that, cheap lug nuts.....cars arn't made like they use to be, things in general arn't made like they use to be. it's all crap. typical dissatisfaction. so the bolt gets tossed into the pile of odds and ends.... bolts that don't seem to fit anywhere. "the extra bolt" Personally, I dont trust anybody so easily, not even the Dealership mechanics. stuff can get technical and nuanced, nobody can know everything, there always room to learn something inbetween it all. jees GOOD RIDDENCE with this EXTRA LONG Review LOL
