Love this place! Great deal for students, and a challenging class that will have you think about child's pose often, but stay energized enough to make it through. The people here seem to be very friendly and calm, too. Most balanced representation of genders, sizes and ages I've seen in a long time at yoga, calm instruction, caring and consistent instruction. Personable, light comments. Professional people. Helpful, optional assists. The lights, music and temperature inside are perfect.

Had a great time coming here from a Class Pass membership. I've taken a handful of the hot classes in the afternoon and they're challenging.

I've been going to Y6 in Bay Park and Point Loma for a few years now and tried out this one the other day. The La Jolla/UTC studio is by far the nicest/newest one with the entry way, locker rooms, and the studio itself. My only complaints are that I wished they provided towels before class, and the cool towels at the end. Also, most of them are set up like this, but the cubbies being down below the bench aren't super convenient and awkward to get to when everyone is leaving class.I will definitely be returning!

This is the second location I've been to and the quality of my workouts is great~. I like that even if it is a franchise, Y6's instructors and check-in people are among the friendliest and most welcoming! I take their sculpt class with class pass and I am never disappointed. The class consists of a 15 min power yoga sequence and a 30 min weight training, which makes the last 15-min cool down feel so much more worth it.

I am a yoga enthusiast, and while the sequencing and queuing are good, almost all the classes are taught by the same instructor. This is the only studio I've ever been to where this has been the case. She's a good instructor, but variety would be great. The reason for the poor review is their corporate policies. I sent an email asking for my membership to be canceled. No one replied to my email and my membership was not canceled. They stated that it requires 30 days. I was at 26 days and had canceled it within days of the last billing. So, I just paid them another $120. There are so many great options in La Jolla for Yoga, and they are independent studios with a larger variety of experiences.

TLDR; I used ClassPass to take a Thursday 7:30 PM Deep Stretch class here with Jennifer and I loved everything! I recommend this studio, especially recommend taking a class with Jennifer and talking with her after class to learn more.More detailed review for YogaSix first-timers like myself or those that like to know what to expect: I just told them my name and that I'm using ClassPass. One of the front desk people showed me that there is one room where all the classes take place (2 doors to enter/exit, it's not 2 different rooms as I mistakenly thought at first haha). Another room has lockers, restrooms, and I think a water station. It's a small studio but has all that you need and it's a bit heated. Put your shoes in the shelves at the front entrance before entering the yoga room, but you can bring your water bottle in and a small bag as long as you keep it out of the way (that's what I did). Also, there is tape on the floor indicating/marking where mats can be placed without getting in others' spaces and still having enough space for yourself.Jennifer was a great instructor whose cues were easy to follow with a sequence that flowed from pose to pose very nicely. She would adjust the lighting in the room on a pillar at the back of the room by a wall of weights, pillows/bolsters, straps/bands, yoga blocks, and wipes. At the beginning of the class, she assured us that she is just there to guide us and would not even judge if someone spent the whole class in savasana. While in a pose where our heads were down on our mats, she asked those who were uncomfortable with being touched or getting physical help/adjustments from/by her to raise their hands. This was a nice detail where people would not see if you did or did not raise your hand. Anyway, I did not raise mine and there was one pose where I probably was not getting the full stretch but didn't realize. She noticed and helped me easily and she helped others as well. The music was perfect for the class (I wish I asked for the playlist) as well as the calm, dim blue lighting. Although the instructor was amazing, it was hard to see her from the back where I was by the pillar, but since she cued/explained very well, I did not need to see/refer to her or others often. The overall sequence and then meditation at the end left me feeling very relaxed and open after class. I would love to come back again if I could!

The teachers here are very supportive and patient, they meet you were you are without judgement. Unlike Core Power yoga were all the teachers are the same due to their training, here each teacher offers a unique perspective. They are allowed to include variety in the class rather than teaching the same sequence always so you learn different things from each teacher. You won't find yucky musty smells here like you find at Core Power. They are welcoming even if you are a beginner. I recommend this yoga studio.

One of my favorite yoga places in La Jolla when I can’t get down to the cove or bird rock. Consistently good classes. They turn the lights all these different colors really awesome and the music is nice and loud so you can feel the vibe really well and get into your own flow. Super good classes by Maneli.

It was my first time trying hot yoga and I ended up liking this new form of exercise. I signed up for the Restoration class at YogaSix for deep stretching. The instructor was knowledgeable and has the right soothing and calm voice. I learnt a lot from the class and felt fully relaxed after the stretching. Will definitely come back again

Charlie was absolutely amazing. I haven’t been to yoga in such a long time. At no point did I feel inferior or uncomfortable. He kept the flow moving along smoothly and the environment thoroughly relaxing for 6am. I will definitely be back. Thanks, Charlie! Namaste. ?♀️ ??✨

I love this studio! Amazing teachers, fancy lights, great acoustics make your yoga experience magical. Good location, parking is available every time I go there. And It is so convenient for me that Trader Joe is just at the same location (I don’t have one near my home). Highly recommend this studio.
